- Roblox trading is so bad now… if you use an authenticator app (You should) then every time you trade you will have to enter your pin code. It slows down trading so much and makes the whole thing just annoying.

i can get it's tedious but i honestly don't think thats really bad at all, really
if it slows the process of losing hard earned items and money in groups if you're hacked, it's absolutely worth it to just open your phones app to get a code.
it's a nice step in the right direction for security imo

That is good. What is everyone on about? It is quite bothersome but it secures your items. They should just add an option to turn it off.

Used to be a roblox trader, stopped when roblox were mass releasing sponsored event limiteds. Actually 4 years ago u accepted my trade which kinda gave me the boost to trade more, till this day the item is still in ur iventory

Nah honestly i think if they just had this it would be such a better idea then the stupid hold time. I think they should have required 2fa pin every trade for along time, it takes 5seconds and could save thousands of dollars.
This isn't a bad update at all.
With the verification Auth for every trade, it stops accidental trades, and stops people from getting onto your account and trading your items away.
I think this is a great update personally.

Now, if someone gets your account cookie and tries to steal limiteds, they would need to type a code. So it's a bad and good update at the same time.

People here seriously complaining about an additional security feature that everyone asked for after complaining about hackers stealing accounts and trading away all the high value limiteds on the account.
Make up your damn minds or grow up. Literally just takes a few seconds to do that extra step.
Or just turn on private ur inventory and if ur trading do it privately
Also infact authenticator has a chance to lock you up
It's not that bad of a feature, only if they remove the 3 days holding period then I'm okay with that. If that will ever happen

This is a good update. It's not that hard to open an authenticator app.
Anyone who's had their limiteds comped knows why this is good. Well worth the extra effort to trade.
Honestly trading sucks now. They should honestly just do like a trading update or something where they make some limited (or make off-sale items limited) and remove the holding period thing and just make it easier

This is EXTREMELY annoying to trade with, you can't even use the same auth code twice! We didn't need the holding period if they were gonna do this. 😭🙏

Yeah would have been nice as an update when I had my one million in limiteds about 2 months before all of the updates started haha. I was a retired trader as well and had all of the items I really ever wanted. I'm glad it happened though because it gave me a reality check on Roblox and I started to actually make real money IRL. Now I can just buy back all the items x10 if I wanted

as a trader myself, i can say that if u turn the 2 step authenticator app u cant trade, they will ask u to turn it on which is really annoying

I used to trade around late December of 2022 (I guess, I don't remember when) and getting around one trade a day was hard as hell, I would try to get faces and cool cheap-ish limiteds but would keep failing. Trading was really stressful too and I couldn't do anything about it, I eventually stopped and then felt lucky that I had left because of that situation where traders were hating on a make a wish kid for getting a dominus.
I wish the trading community was better and that trading was easier. :[

To stop kids from getting scsmmed, if the player presses accept, the thingy should say "We will ban you if you dont check if its a scam", kids would be so scared of getting banned that they wont get scammed.

Its a good feature but it should be something optional. Its a good feature to prevent hackers from stealing every limited the user may have.
this doesnt make it even worse, this makes it more secure so that your items cant get traded, mostly for accounts who are popular and with a lot of expensive limiteds, its not even worse, it may be tedious but if you still want your items, then turn on 2fa.

I’ve been trading since 2016 this isn’t the at hard you only really find people to trade with (if you aren’t mass sending on one item) every like 2-5 minutes to pull up the auth code and pasting it takes like 10 seconds the only bad feature is the hold which is 2 days which is a heavy nerf. If you don’t have the patience to put in a code every so often just don’t trade lmao

Personally hate the 2FA app. I soft-locked one of my alt accounts because I accidentally deleted the account on google auth before toggling it off on Roblox. Yes I know you get a warning message on the google auth app but I was doing this very quickly. Very dumb oversight but we all make mistakes. Roblox won't do anything about it because their support is so terrible. They are saying that they can't prove ownership without specifying why. Such a joke. Only reason I had it on in the first place was to sell some limiteds. (And because of that incredibly annoying pop-up). I now turned it off on the rest of my accounts. No thanks!

I honestly think at this point trading should just be gotten rid of. Most people that still use the feature nowadays are people stealing items from hijacked accounts or selling items on the black market. Getting rid of trading would shut down most of the limited black market.

When you want to fix the Error occured bug in your settings when you want to unlock the pin, do following:
[SOLUTION]
Simply go to your browser settings and delete all "Cookies", "Cache" and "Data" you got from Roblox. If done correctly, you will reset the website
and being able to use the code again. The bug is a website error, I assume.
I fixed mine with his way.
this isn't new, the verification for every trade you do i've had for over a month (im a trader) , also every time you payout group funds now you also need to put the authentication code on that every time you want to pay out.

What's really the problem with this? I get it may be tedious if you have to constantly type in 6 letter codes, but Roblox is just trying to get better security so someone doesn't hack you and steal your limiteds.
