The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is an American television series that was broadcast on NBC from September 22, 1964, to January 15, 1968. It follows the exploits of two secret agents, played by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, who work for a fictitious secret international espionage and law-enforcement agency called U.N.C.L.E.
Originally co-creator Sam Rolfe wanted to leave the meaning of U.N.C.L.E. ambiguous so it could be viewed as either referring to "Uncle Sam" or the United Nations. Concerns by the MGM Legal department about possible New York law violations for using the abbreviation "U.N." for commercial purposes resulted in the producers clarifying that U.N.C.L.E. was an acronym for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.
Each episode of the television show had an "acknowledgement" credit to the U.N.C.L.E. on the end titles. Ian Fleming contributed to the show's concepts after being approached by the show's co-creator, Norman Felton. The theme music, written by Jerry Goldsmith, changed slightly each season.

Just to get a snack and hear the opening -the horns blasting away, it signaled the arrival of those handsome agents, Napoleon Solo & Illya Kuryakin. Another adventure filled with danger, dames, and romance. Oh, lest we forget Mr. Waverly. Long live the "Man From Uncle" and long live spies and long live Spies, Agents, and Espionage!

The theme songs were awesome just like the TV Series. These shows were shown because of the Cold War that existed at the time. Most of episodes were awesome I guess the 1960's wouldn't be complete without this TV Series. The guns that they carried with silencers on them and made a distinctive sound when fired. Thrush soldiers with their M14 rifles with a sniper scope mounted on it. Talking to you're pen while writing isn't normal unless you're an U.N.C.L.E. Agent talking to Mr. Waverly.

The first season in B&W was the best. It got rather silly after that. Ditto for Lost in Space.

At the 2,55 mark take a GOOD look at the graphic. their were many tv shows and movie's would have a graphic that said, we would like to thank the department of defense and the us navy or the us army this film would not be made, well this graphic would make you thank if youdid not know better, that U N C L E was a REAL outfit and not just a TV show, it must have been part of the joke.
