However, all the glitz and glam from the “Barbie” promotional tour could come to an end. Hollywood actors are joining striking writers who have been on the picket line since May. The London premiere of “Oppenheimer” started an hour early so that the star-studded cast could meet the press without defying union rules.

People saying that all actors make millions and shouldn't deserve support but they fail to understand that only big name actors actually esrn millions, background actors and supporting actors who aren't big names don't get millions.
Exactly...some of these people out here think everyone working in Hollywood live like superstars.
This includes those people in the big five and children who have big roles don’t earn much unless they’re in hollywood where it’s illegal for the parents to waste their cash

Strike happens every few years. Not the first not the last
One of the big things I am glad of this strike, is that people like Jimmy Kimmel aren't on the air saying the same crappy jokes over and over again. I understand why for writers, but there is also a lot of crappy ones. Remember it took 20 writers to make that Catwoman movie.
Meanwhile i make 65k a year and can barely afford to live..... this is ridiculous............
The average actor makes 56k a year in California. Workers in all industries should be working together to make sure you're not being exploited by your employers!

I make like 40k a year (net) and live comfortably even in spite of the inflation and getting a house. The key is getting out of extraneous debt and being frugal.

Why should I be forced to do physical labor in a factory more so than providing enjoyment other people through my skills? Not everyone's built for an office job or to work and physical labor. Some people like creative work. And since there's a market for why not? It seems like you just want everyone to live the way you want them to.

What about writers over seas how come their not protesting, their paid less and their content r starting 2 get better than Hollywood. Ex. Squid Game and look at The Witcher, ones great and other ones dropped in quality since the 1st season.

I’m standing for the strikers . But I’ll see movies this summer and share my support for good people who made the movies and shows . Hopefully the strike will be over soon cause I want the actors and other people to get the pay the deserve. I hope Peter jackson Paul greengrass pay they’re people good cause when they made movies like King Kong , lord of the rings, United 93 and other movies they’ve done they would do the same .

Acting and especially writing have been horrible for a long time. Most deserve to find a profession their halfway decent at.
I looked at the top 25 shows. Mostly some health care or law enforcement drama that I have never seen. No great loss.

Get viewers involved. Ask viewers to stop streaming everything until a deal is made. The loss of all that money will bring them to the table with a suitable deal that actors and writers can sign. Have viewers threaten to cancel their subscriptions if an agreement can't be made soon. Ask viewers to stop going to the theaters, etc. Ask viewers to form their own boycott.
