- In 2022, a gender reveal announced that it was a girl for one couple. But the father was clearly not happy. In 2021, all one woman wanted for Christmas was a beautiful Christmas tree. But the one her husband picked out was very underwhelming. In 2016, many children got beloved Hatchimal toys for Christmas. But things went sour when they wouldn’t hatch. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.
Everyone mentions the dads not wanting a daughter. NOBODY mentions the grandmother not wanting a grandson. What gives??

Don't feel so bad. My Mom only got married to get away from an abusive father as her mother had died when she was only left 6 children in 1923. Then my mom did not want any kids and if she did have one she only wanted a girl and instead her first two babies were boys and the doctor told my mom she was having another boy. Well my mom wanted to abort me by her own means and and in those days in 1946 abortions were not allowed. But my parents were delighted to have me after I arrived. In my fathers family males were always more important.
Being unwanted by your 118 yo great grandma isn't the same as being unwanted by your own father.
Because grandma is not a parent. I couldn't have cared less what my mom wanted my baby to be. Her opinion meant nothing. And she'd have been easy to block should it have been an issue. My kids' dad? Not so much.

I was there when the video was posted, she was bashed, stop spreading misinfo, oh and even if she wasn't bashed, being a father of a child and being the grandma of a child is two different things, that dad is constantly going to be around his child

@@TheUltimateRare He'll have a man to man thing going with his sons-in-law, that's cool too. Maybe he has nephews as well? Although, ultimately I don't really see what a dad could have with a boy that they absolutely cannot share just as well with their girls.

Sooo many people who came to our gender reveal were dead set that we were having a girl, we even received a lot of pink gifts for the baby.
My husband and I were absolutely stoked to find out we were having a boy and we were both pretty sure right from the beginning he was going to be a boy but yeah I think we disappointed a few people that day 😂💁🏼♀️💙💙💙

Probably nobody else really cared and were trying to be polite since trapped into gifting at a party for the gender of somebody elses unborn kid. Girl baby stuff is cheaper and easier to find in stores than baby boy stuff.

I agree on one comment about the 1st video . The dad didnt even acknowledge the mom in the excitement she was feeling for the 3rd girl. It may not effect his parenting but it can sure effect the marriage . When my ex and I found out we were having our second girl he walked out of the ultrasound room . Maybe it was just my experience

It’s the girl who is birthing their child. She is the one who suffers from pain die MONTHS. She is the one who will feed the baby and take care of the baby. This dude really doesn’t appreciate the girl, he appreciaties the attention of his homies. He wants to be the center of attention doe his homies, he wants to impress the homies. He prefers his friends over his wife. This is the typical couple that will end up in divorce one day. Because the dude has his priorities not right. Why choose marriage when you choose friendship over your partner? Go marry your buddies.

There were no gender reveal parties when my brothers and I were born in the 1940's. You had to accept and keep what you were having. My Mom use to tell me when I was younger the she wanted a one child and that was a girl. Well as it turned out she had two boys and then me. . I know a lot of people had two boys and then a girl. But in my family males were more important than females so as the only girl in my family I was not spoiled and my oldest brother got all the attention. Life went on and on and on. So I am almost 77 and while my life is just about over I can laugh at whole thing.
I had wonderful parents whom I miss daily and give thanks for all the love they gave me.
My grandparents had 7 kids: 6 boys and a girl. My aunt was spoiled in some ways but not in other ways. She had her own room but she often had to cook and clean.
@@MaddysinLeigh also cleaned and learned how to do the all the stuff that women do when I was a kid. I always wanted to be mommy's little girl. I was named after my Mom's mother who passed away when she was 4 yrs old. Even with having two older brothers one was 4 1/2 yrs older the other 12 1/2 months older. I did not get my own room til I was 10 yrs old.

If we all as children could get upset with the parents we were given lol because some of us got the messed up end of the deal. Some of our childhoods have scaring affects. I know I'm not the only one.

I often ask my mom as an only child if she was happy that I was a girl. She said she didn't really care which gender but she wanted to dress them up and make them look great, so she SLIGHTLY preferred a girl. However I sometimes like to think that she just said that to make me happy. Perhaps deep down, she would've loved a frisky and playful boy. Also feel the disappointment on the Hatchimals. I only got one because I felt that it was pointless having more than one and I thought it would be a nice collectable. Mine hatched but it took a lot of patience waiting for it, so hours upon hours of it not hatching must've been excruciating 😫 That's why getting multiple is smart. You either hatch one out of three and get your money back or three out of three and some really happy kids!
That's not true I had my 4th daughter 3 months ago and I AM happy she is another girl . I LOVE dressing them in dresses and doing those hair. Don't feel that way your mom is happy with who you being a girl 💜

I remember getting a hatchimal in 2016 as well for Christmas! I wanted a pink one so bad but I got a blue and green one and I was a little bit surprised to see that when it hatched! Lol

I’m 14 now so I was 7 when Hatchimals came out. I really wanted one and I was lucky mine hatched. I remember the incident very well though.

Imagine judging a guy that me got a bit angry for having another girl. Of course he's gonna love her, he's her dad. But I'd be offended too if my dad got angry at the mention of my gender.
Being disappointed about a gender reveal is something that’s been happening literally since humanity has been a thing. It doesn’t mean you don’t love your children.
Regular people can’t have reasonable displays of emotion anymore without some bored idiot screeching about it online as if they’re some type of authority on a circumstance they likely know nothing about.
Eh I can kind of see your point but as the same time I've experienced this firsthand. When I was like 10ish, I saw the video of my dad being upset that he was having yet another girl and It made me feel extremely unwanted, atleast until I turned 15 and finally confronted my parents about my feelings. I laugh about it now, but from time to time I still feel like I wasn't needed or wanted, so i can kind of see your side but at the same time I still see what people were complaining about.
It's an ungrateful attitude, tbh. Those daughters will care for his raggedy self when he is old.
@@AJSketches Let me ask, since you've been born has he treated you like you were unwanted? Thats what matters the most. If not then how you feel about it is all a matter of perspective which is up to you to change. There was 3 girls before I was born. I know my pops wanted a boy within the 3. But he made them feel no different. Most times its the reaction, but then comes acceptance and emotional attachment. If he was good to you then I wouldn't dwell on a temporary reaction. It only harms not help yourself.
Using humanity's treatment of girls and women isn't the argument you think it is.
Being disappointed about the sex of the offspring might be something that's happened throughout the ages, but for the first time in history (in the past thirty or forty years) said offspring has the ability to actually witness these moments of disappointment. It's unpleasant to feel unwanted by your father, however brief that feeling might be. And regular people should be allowed to have their emotions about it without other people whinging about situations that have nothing to do with them.

A way to make it fun is , to tell your children sometimes babies can’t hatch ! Show your kid RUclips vids of people hand hatching chicks. Then use the tips and methods given to “hand hatch” the toy. It’s a great learning experience to.

At my gym teachers gender reveal for his first child, there was a football and in it had the color of the gender inside. He threw the football on the ground to break it and what color came out... pink. Then he yelled " I THOUGHT IT WAS A BOY!" And two years later had another daughter.

I hope when I have a child one day that i will have girls. I already have girl names picked out, Kimberly Rose and Anastasia. Of course if it’s a boy then I will love him unconditionally and let him know he is very special and loved. I grew up in a house full of girls and it took me the first 2 years to connect with my nephew because we hadn’t had a boy in my family in 58 years and I am now connected to my nephew and I love him unconditionally.
