Amba Nilambari, this composition has stayed with me for many years; I even set it for one of my students for her arangetram, but had not got down to performing it myself. When Anita asked me to be part of Devi Diaries, I was reluctant.Over the last year I have not been very comfortable watching or performing for the virtual medium. However, I decided to work on the piece and thoroughly enjoyed the musicality and sheer flow of the composition. The process taught me to marvel -- all over again -- at our traditional compositions and their classicism in terms of form and exquisite raga bhavam. Recording for the digital medium was the other learning curve... All in all a very enriching experience. Thank you Anita R Ratnam
