Pretty poor that they took over a month to put replays up etc. There was no way to watch these when they happened live or during the week after- it's 2021 Olypmic folks, get with the times and get the WSL or someone to do your broadcast and post heat replays-
That would be like the NHL or MLB posting replays it’s literally illegal due to conflict of interest. Surfing is low on the Olympic priority list, it was the first year. Maybe as it gains more respect world wide then the coverage will be better but unfortunately it’s not right now

It'll be nice to see the contest in a real surf spot with real waves this time. Of course the two small wave surfers make it to the end in this event and conditions...
Surfing doesnt seem like something you would score based off of even one days session per stage. If its terrible circumstances it seems more like a lottery contest. I feel it should be judged over a longer period where each contestant has plenty of oppurtunity to get a fair session to be judged and after each contestant has surfed x amount of waves over like a 3 day period then it would be scored off the total combined for a stage.
the thing I love about the Brazilian athlete is you can see his smile the entire time. It makes me want to get back out on the waves.
The Brazilian skaters are like it too.

The use their best 2 runs. They can try as many as they want, until the time runs out. Not 100% sure, but i thinks that's how it is.
