If you have an original 1873, do not follow the instructions at 1:53 You have to take the magazine tube out first, then you can remove the forestock. The forestock wraps around the magazine tube and you will crack it if you try to just pull it off as in the video.
cool video, but, it showed the sights being drifted/pushed from right to left. that is wrong/backwards. they drift from left to right, it dose matter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
