      Edd P. Yes it is but Haitian creole there are many different creole language's for different cultures

    • @eddp.2562
      @eddp.2562 6 лет назад +7

      Kelis Andre's world Haitian is NOT creole. The etymology of the word creole is of Latin origin via a Portuguese term that means “a person (especially a servant) raised in one’s house. Please don’t apply that derogatory word in identifying Haitians or Haiti.

      Kelis Andre's world, being ignorant of the definition of a demeaning word creole is not a excuse.

    • @robertobahamondeandrade
      @robertobahamondeandrade 6 лет назад +2

      "Creole" (or Sp. "criollo", Port. "crioulo") means "born in the land of reference" -> "native" for people or things as opposite to foreigners. But creole languages are languages developed by strong contact between 2 or more languages: they begin like pidgins (i. e.: you speak A and your neighbor speaks B, but you communicate in a simplified version of either A, B or A+B) and when they have native speakers they become creoles. The most spoken recognized creole is Haitian Creole, but some scholars argue English is a creole developed by contact between Old English and Old French.
