For me the vengeance trilogy is the best. Sympathy for mr. vengeance 2002, Oldboy 2003 & Sympathy for lady vengeance 2005.

1. Lord of the Rings (all 10/10 movies).
2. Original Star Wars Trilogy: (all perfect films, just doesn’t hit as hard as LOTR, still great though)
3. The Dark Knight Trilogy: (The Dark Knight is the best comic book film of all time, Batman Begins is the best origin film, but TDKR let’s it all down. It’s still good, just not that good. Christopher Nolan is my favourite director though).
4. Sam Raimi Spider Man: (Same as the DKT, just not AS good).
5. The Godfather Trilogy: (First two are some of the best films ever, but the third one is terrible).
P.S. I only counted film trilogies which only have three films, otherwise Harry Potter would be at 2.

Lotr is the literal inspiration and idol of fantasy movies. Star wars will never top them. Lotr has way more imdb ratings, way more rotten tomatoes ratings and 17 oscars in total. You can ask a lot and a lot will tell you lotr rules as the number 1 trilogy of all time

Well I'm about to piss off some people but here we go Raiders of the Lost Ark with the stupid pointless movie and Indiana Jones played no role in it whatsoever now some people are gonna go but Indiana Jones had the amulet and the only way the Nazis found the Argus because they followed Indy but Hindi wasn't in the movie the Nazis would have still found the amulet found the Ark they still would have taken it to the temple they still would have opened it and they still would have died mic drop
