those school fundraiser things are to benefit the school directly with supplies for the classrooms and other necessities that teachers might have that the school district doesn't pay for.

I'm autistic I never participated in any of those type of fundraisers cuz I didn't have any type of social network outside of my mom and dad plus a few school friends, but my family always insinuated we never ask for money cuz that's kind of like begging.
