- I have wanted to try BDK for some time now. After realizing I had to get over the bottles that I'm not too fond of, I set out to explore 2 of their top scents. Hey Keiko. FYI, Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Tonka is said to be a spot on dupe of Velvet Tonka. I absolutely love Tobac Rose. It’s so sexy and long lasting.

Grid Charnel is my stuff! Love it so much. Was so sad it didn't work for you. Pas Ce Soir is another love of mine, along with Rouge Smoking.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve been really into this house as of late and can say all of their fragrances smell much differently on my skin than on paper. Gris Charnel & Pas Ce Soir are my favorites to date! Testing the Extrait versions now along with Velvet Tonka, Tabac Rose, and Creme de Cuir.

So far, it has not gone in my favor unfortunately smh. PCS smells like Mugler's Angel on my skin and I don't know why loll. I hope you will love Velvet Tonka & Tabac Rose!! Whew those babies, excellent! And most people seem to enjoy Creme de Cuir, I think it's just me lolll 💕

BDK is one of my fav houses. Tabac Rose is my fav. I also have both Gris, Velvet Tonka, Crème de Cuir and Pas Ce Soir. I would say sample PCS Extrait prior to buying. I don’t like it as much as the OG. And the lasting power definitely improves with time. I need to get discovery set to try more from this house for sure!

Rouge Smoking is one of my favorites. I will say it didn’t start off that way. It has gotten so much better with time. Great video 💜

I have a sample of Rouge Smoking and I can’t stand it. It makes me nauseous. 🙈 Did you have the same reaction when you first got it?
@@Nikzcyn no I didn’t but it did give me a slight headache. I’ve it for about two years and I can tell you it is so much better than when I first got it. I hope this helps

Yess you’d really love discovery sets I think! I even order samples from websites like Scent Split or So Avant Garde! It’s a fun way to explore fragrances at home! Haha but yess live through me bc i enjoy sampling so much and sharing with my beauties ❤️❤️❤️

I thought I was going to be head over heels in love with rouge smoking because of the notes but when I tried it all I smelled was root beer. Now I like the smell of root beer but that’s not what I wanted it to smell like.I love Gris Charnel! I love cardamom and tea, and I feel like that fragrance gives me a soft hug. It does not perform that well unfortunately. But, after buying Lattafa Liam, I realized I don’t have to spend a fortune on Gris Charnel again! It smells almost the same except Liam has a little more vanilla which I like, and it last longer. I’m not crazy about a lot of the Lattafa’s that I’ve picked up but this one is banging!
I, too, hear that it is a root beer scent profile...and that scares me lol. I can enjoy the smell root beer, but I'm not sure I want it on my body lol. I can see how Gris Charnel feels like a soft hug!! Shoutout to Lattafa!! I love their fragrances! So glad you found something that smelled amazing AND worked for you!! Maybe I will ry Liam because I think I definitely wanted it to be sweeter! Thanks for sharing 🤗 💕
Agree Liam is better after is sits for a week or so the vanilla comes through.
I’m so happy you love my Pas Se Soir! I had a feeling I wouldn’t like either of the Gris Charnel because I’m not a huge fan and I know this is weird but the color of the juice turned me off.
Pas Ce Soir is simply beautiful! It was a love at first sniff for sure! I need to sit with it though, because the longer I wore it I smelled Mugler's Angel...which I don't understand lol. Gris Charnel surprised me. Look, I get it! As someone who is particular about everything, that makes a difference!!! 💕

It's interesting how we all experience fragrance. After ignoring Gris Charnel for the longest time, I recently tried it. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I had mainly ignored it because I thought the fig note was green (I don't care for green notes), but it is in fact the fig fruit which I love. Added to my list to buy.
It really is! That's why I love fragrance videos, fragrance is so subjective!! Ahh I understand that about Gris Charnel. I didn't find it too fig and green-forward. If anything, I think it's more cardamom. But I am so glad you grew to enjoy it!! I hope my experience changes. I wanted to love it lol
My experience was the same with Gris Charnel. I just knew I’d love it. The fragrance just isn’t what I thought. I feel like it lacks depth. Imma have to leave that one on the shelf. 😂

If you like velvet Tonka you'll love Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Tonka. It's a fraction of the cost with better performance (once it sits for a week or two)

I got the the trio 10ml set. It was Rouge Smoking, Pas Ce Soir, and Gris Charnel. I enjoyed them all but feel like PCS will be better in warmer weather.

When I initially tried Gris Charnel, i had to scrub it off my skin. It smelled like dirt. Until I revisited it. I absolutely love it now. Creme de Cuir is top tier pineapple to me 😆

Hi Keiko, Pas Ce Soir is my favorite. I get so many compliments when I wear it. I don't enjoy the extrait version as much, and I can't really articulate why. I own Rouge Smoking, and it's ok and so is Gris Charnel, but I think it's good when it's cold and raining or overcast. Velvet Tonka made my stomach hurt, so I decluttered. Give Vanille Leather a try.

I feel the same way about the extrait. Most of my favorite reviewers prefer the extrait because it smells similar to the edp and lasts longer but something about the edp just smells better to me
Gris Charnel was also a no for me at 1st and then I revisited my 10ML went through that in 2 weeks and now Half way through the Bottle. I just got my nose on the extrait & that was an immediate love for me

Chile, when you started talking about not being interested in a fragrance because of the bottle, I FELT SEEN. GIRL! I refuse to try BDK because of the bottles. Same for Byredo. Nothing sensorial about the bottles. I can’t do it!
