I would have liked to see shades called something like "pon farr", "bat'leth", "earl grey-hot"...I could go on, but I'll stop. That would have been super fun! Ugh I love you! I have dark skin and I couldn't decide whether to get Luna Luster. I'm glad you mentioned it is silver and not peach so I know I can't wear it.
Thank you for posting this informative tutorial. I saw the make up at Nordstrom's, but couldn't purchase anything because of company policy. I like that you have swatches of all the colors and give tips on how to apply the product! Well done. That being said! I feel that MAC has missed the true fans by simply ignoring who watches Star Trek and most importantly the stars that represent the franchise. Zoe Saldona would have made the perfect spokeswoman for the younger generation while Nichelle Nicoles, Marina Sirtis and Jerry Ryan could have represented the older set. I feel like the company simply put some colors together and slapped a logo on the product without really thinking! Let's face it, the women who grew up with Trek are in their 30s to 60s! We don't want to wear glitter finger nail polish and gold lipstick! We are professional women who want great colors such as the eye shadows and blushes represent. They are doing a terrific ad campaign in most major cities, but they missed their market niche! There is nothing wrong with being a Trek fan nor a mature woman. With so much revolving around Star Wars, it's a welcoming treat to be honored with a product we can actually use! This is only getting two stars. I can only purchase the eyeliner, mascara, blush and eye shadow. Everything else would wind up in the bathroom closet or drawer. If they ever ask what we want, I'd love to have purple or blue eye shadow in a packet of three colors to keep the clutter down. Print the Star Trek logo on the eyeliner and mascara! Get rid of the glitter in one finger nail polish, one slip stick and one lip gloss and replace these with a color I can use everyday! Then again, maybe this is just a ploy to get us in to buy the normal makeup with out the logo!

Hey, I don't know if you're allowed to answer this, but do companies send you products or do you buy these on your own? Also, if a company sends you a makeup product, do you get to keep it? I know for technology reviews there are "review samples" that get sent from reviewer to reviewer, but I don't think that would work with makeup.
Excellent review as usual! Being a major Trekkie/Trekker (the term "Trekkie" doesn't offend me lol) I was really excited to see this, but the swatches? Meh. I can't see shelling out more than I earn in an hour of work for a single gloss, even if it's associated with my all-time fave show in the universe. Oh well. Thanks for this💖💐
I think the powders needed a different brush? They did not seem to pick up easily.... The plum shade looks nice. I like the silver and the gold glosses too. Thanks!
For a theme like Star Trek you'd think their efforts for bolder and creative color's would come to play but the collection seems boring and just something they put together. The only non disappointment item was the golden pearlized eyeshadow.
These don't look or feel like MAC at all. I'm kind of disappointed. I really wanted LLAP for months before they came out, but now that they are out I haven't gotten any. 😥
I was hoping for bold lipsticks in like green and silver and those cool colours... I ordered KlingItOn because I am a crazy Star Trek lover and I felt like I at least had to get something, even if it's just for the packaging. But I am really disappointed with the whole collection. Everything is so sheer and boring.

These pigments are better when applied dry first and then gone over with a clean, damp brush.
