It changed everyone who has at least a moderate amount of brains. The others will keep telling that it's dirty and inhuman refusing the fact that it's realistic as hell.

And you saw the guy "micky" in the end laugh to himself as the girl locked herself in the room, because he knew she was smart. Anyways I think this was the most genuine song that they could use for the movie.

Of course they have their opinions. The point is, who actually asks them? Is it really that hard to lie to a soldier if you're an officer? Is it really that hard to make soldier obey if you are an officer? Knowing right from wrong doesn't mean shit if a soldier is a lower rank. Also, isn't court martial supposed to prevent ANY disobedience? You're idealizing military, it's like saying that in case of apocalypse Soviet people wouldn't turn into looters and rapists as they were far too moral.

America wouldn't concern itself with people who lived the bomb because they would have all they have to bring more life thru the children the abduct. Briefing is about mission's objectives, possible consequences, basically instruction what to do and what not to do. Do you know how many soldiers were sacrificed so the others could proceed while enemy is tearing this squad apart? They held the line, not because they were loyal and true but because they were *told* that help is on the way.
I guess the soldiers could have been american. But american soldiers wouldn't attack civilians is the thing. Maybe they would have left the adults there to die because they wouldn't really make it anyway, but I don't think they would have shot at them the way they did in the movie. When you're in the military, it's your job to protect civilians. That's the main reason I thought they were the 'bad guys', rather then american soldiers.
