It's clear Laci knew Scott was a cheat but she might have thought after they were married he would change. I think Scott enjoyed the way Laci loved him. She cooked, cleaned and took care of him. Scott continued being Scott and once she got pregnant it was over for him. Connor was going to be the center of all the family and Laci's attention, she also would want Scott home more. If he got a divorce the thought of having to pay alimony to Laci and Conner I believe would be unimaginable for Scott. This was a man who spent lots of money on his mistresses...wine, dozens of roses, dinner, drinks, hotel rooms. There would be no way for him to continue paying, not to mention his favorite pass time was golfing at a country club. Everything he was doing cost a lot of money. I think in his sick mind getting rid of Laci and Conner was his only option to continue his fantasy life style. I say fantasy because he wanted to be that guy who travels the world and is not held down by any one person.

And I believe he killed her the night before. She never was on the computer that morning, it was Scott. He simply accessed her account to make it look like it was her. I have some of those online ordering accounts on my computer and they could easily be accessed by someone pretending to be me while browsing or putting items in a 'cart' online. Doubtless, that's what he did.

@@rhondapowell3054 I agree with this. However what if burglars entered their unlocked home while she was in it & threatened her with the gun they had just stolen from the neighbors that same morning as they were canvassing the entire neighborhood. Maybe they saw Scott leave & thought he was gone for the day.
There’s also a guy who knew at least 1 of the alleged 5 burglars who said Laci confronted the burglars at the neighbors when she saw them.

And even Susan Medina, the neighbor burglarized thinks for sure the burglary happened on the 24th for her own reasons.
In fact, Judge Hill literally just approved Scott’s lawyers to have access to many pieces of evidence surrounding the burglary because she’s not sure the burglary was only 2 people & on the 26th. She agrees it should be investigated again. Period.

Totally agree that the rationalization of EVERYTHING to do with the boat & the hairs consistent with Laci's hair in the pliers points to Scott's guilt -in the face of the fact that the bodies ended up washing up almost in the exact area Scott was boating in , in a boat pretty much noone knew he owned and that he paid cash for a few days after lying to AMBER that he had LOST his wife and it was the first Xmas he would be spending without her ! He says this almost 2 weeks before she actually went missing !! Like WTF ?? The fact that he supposedly went fishing last minute and lied to a few people and said he went Golfing , when he actually got a fishing license ahead of time on Dec 20th , good for only Dec 23 and 24-says a lot ! Apparently the last time this guy ever got a fishing license was in 1994 0r 1997 . . And who goes fishing out of the blue on a cold rainy day ALONE last minute like this or even planned on Christmas EVE, INCOGNITO , when you have plans with the family and errands to run that your 8 month preggers wife has asked you to do ( pick up a gift basket for Papa ) and when your wife is definitely not feeling the best ( this is well documented by her Doctor , friends and yoga teacher ) ??? Laci would have most likely spoken about the boat to her family and friends if she knew about it ! The theory about the so called flimsy boat unable to hold Scott and Laci is ridiculous . Tall , big beer bellied Men go out on the water with their "fishing buddies" in boats like this all the time . Laci is only a 5 ft 1 , 153 pound woman , so that BS theory makes no sense ! Lastly obviously he picked the best day he could have to commit this act and dispose of the body . Almost Noone is out on the bay " Fishing " on a very cold , rainy Xmas eve , so it was indeed the best time to dispose of the body in the daytime . Another thing -if I am not mistaken , LE pretty fast got a search warrent for the house and Scott's warehouse , and pretty fast they found pretty compelling evidence hat it appeared he made between 4-5 homemade anchors , yet they could only account for 1 anchor , which was supposedly used for the fishing trip to the bay , yet it was missing any kind of rope and he denied making any more anchors and instead he used the rest of the 90 pound bag of cement for his driveway-which they later tested and said was not consistent with the type of cement from the 90 pound bag . So where did the rest of the cement go ? . The main take away about these " Anchors and cement " is LE predicted right from the beginning that Scott weighed her down with those 4 anchors they believed he made with that 90 pound cement bag and there really is no other logical way she managed to wash up 4 months later missing her limbs ( and head ) and in such a decomposed way and yet Connor was relatively in tact . They knew she was in that bay right from the get go and thats the only reason Scott kept making secretive trips to the bay in rental cars -to see if they were looking where he dumped her and if they would find her ! Otherwise , why wasn't he helping more in the searches and present ? It's clear she was anchored probably with 4 anchors, 1 on each limb . There's only one person we know for sure who went out on the same bay on the same day she went missing and its almost exactly where she ended up washing up on the shore decomposed and missing her limbs consistent with being anchored on each limb !! Anyone who thinks Scott is innocent after doing a deep dive -needs their head seriously examined .

There are huge problems with the statements from so called witnesses who see Laci with black trousers on. Because she was not found with that colour on the waist band when the torso was washed up. Secondly she'd have to be barefoot because her walking shoes were at home . Police established there were other pregnant women with dogs in the area at the time. Some of these witnesses are bored people who simply want to be famous. NB if you murder someone at home at night and then dump them somewhere else you might well forget to put their outside shoes on before you do the removal.
Finally by Scot's own admission her keys were in the house and the door was open. It sounds as if he 's thinking of a story that she was snatched from the house because if she was out with the dog, then she must have locked the door if she left after he did - which is what he says. At this point, he has no idea that a convenient burglary is about to happen but only in a 50 hour window of time.
The neighbour who was burgled could have been burgled any time from about 11am onwards on 24th, on the 25th or on the 26th. The police say the 26th December but that's based on what the criminals told them. Most burglars do not operate in the middle of the day. There are exceptions but that's the general rule.
Scott initially tells people he's going to go golfing . Then he goes out on the bay. He then tells someone he went fishing. He 's go the receipt to prove it. Finally when the LE get involved he sticks to the fishing story. He likely told the golf story because it was a windy cold day and going fishing would make no sense to those of Laci's family he told firstup. Also Ron was a fisherman , Scott does not want Ron G to come along. When he's out at the warehouse he cuts himself on the hand while messing around with assembling a router machine. This is highly convenient if he cut himself earlier and wants and alibi for a cut. So there's no rush about going fishing even though it is an hr and a half at least away from Modesto.
When he gets back he sees Laci is missing because the keys have been left behind (give him benefit of doubt) and rings the Rochas immediately without ringing Laci's phone to check where she might be. Now that's strange, she went out presumably on foot or in a friend's car without her keys and purse but she did take her phone. The door is left unlocked - he says. That's unprovable. it seems highly inconsistent.
However he's already rung Laci's phone - alibi call- on the way back from the fishing trip. It of course goes unanswered. It's Ron Granski who rings the LE, not Scott.
Rather than leaving the boat cover on the boat out in the warehouse , he brings it back home and puts it in the garden shed where it gets saturated in Gasoline in a pseudo accident . It is therefore useless forensically.
What a chain of coincidences and inconsistencies and we are only about 7 hrs in.

You stated the Modesto Police did a "fantastic job". I would disagree. The manager of Scotts' warehouse said Lacy was there with the boat and Det. Brochini left it out of his report. The Aponte tape was given to the Modesto police and it disappeared . And the van that was seen by Diane Jackson, which she saw Lacy with the men had a mattress with blood on it and set on fire a mile from lacys house, which the police never tested! So where exactly is this "fabulous job" that the Police did??

@@paulphillips684 you’re totally correct. Not only did the police do a ridiculously horrible job and have often been accused of corruption (witnesses have recently said they fear police retaliation if they speak about this case, etc), but apparently the prosecutor habitually commits prosecutorial misconduct as well. Judge Hill essentially just agreed October 7, 2024 that Scott’s team was denied loads of evidence they should’ve had for the past 20 years that they were never given access to surrounding the burglary, the missing lieutenant Aponte tape, and the burned van/bloody mattress evidence.
It’s literally appalling this type of thing happened on a case when the entire world was watching. I can’t understand how people can still defend the police investigation or the prosecution’s actions at this at this point. Most of all, Laci’s mother should be downright furious with them - because of the fact that they dropped the ball either purposefully or accidentally (which doesn’t matter in the eyes of the Brady law) it could mean that Scott has a chance to be released. If he really did kill Laci, that would be devastating. And it would be all the fault of the prosecutor/police for the multiple Brady violations.
