Also a link to a pdf giving definitions, causes & fixes for the different 'error codes' that I keep encountering.
I downloaded a tone to my computer from custom tones. Can I use the Line 6 Spider V remote app on my PC to save that pre-set to my Line 6 Spier V20 MKII, Line 6 Spider V20, and my Line 6 Spider V60 MKII? On your site, I tried selecting line 6 edit. Then I selected Windows 10, and clicked on "Go". But I kept getting an error message saying that there isn't the software available at this time. So I want to know if I can save the tone from the Line 6 Remote app in the edit menu on the app while one of my 3 Line 6 Amps is plugged directly into my PC.
@billsacrilegeDo you mean when you click Get tone from Custom Tone? Just let Gearbox open and then in GB go to File>Save Tone As and save it then. Does that work for you?
I bought a line 6 75 watt spyder amp brand new 2 months ago but when I go to download a tone from custom tone it can't find a program to open the tone with can anyone help me?
i recently bought the line6 spider iv 30 watt amp. on the box it says i can find some tone settings on the line6 website. i cannot. i have been searching the website and there is nothing about tone settings as advertised. this is false advertising, line6. please help me find these tone settings on your website as advertised on the box.
@slashzakkkirk you'll need a USB cable connected to your computer. Then you need to install Line 6 Monkey and then download and install the drivers for your Line 6 device. Check out our Line 6 Monkey video and our driver video to see how to do this.
Hi I'm using vista but everytime i click on get tone gearbox automatically starts and i can't save the file, even in preferences when i switch off "start gearbox automatically" it still just loads the tone without the uption to save
HI, i already apologize for my english.. Well, this video is great but i have a problem and i'm about to crash my POD x3 Live against the wall...why? Because when i want to put some tones by "dragging" the tones into the hardware box, its okay, i can save it it seems to have no problem. But when i quit Gearbox and play on my amp, praticly all the tones are mixed up..like my tone 1 in the "user2/A" box is mixed with the tone 2 of the "user2/B"...and i have done everything right..help please!

your tone 2 is locked. go to the patch on pod x3 live and youll see a lock on the bottom just turn the knob so its unlocked and it will solve the problem

@Synthesized13 not pointless at all! Just make sure you PAN the tones a little away from each other so you don't get any phasing cancellation.
In a way. You can use it as a USB audio interface to record directly into recording apps similar to the TonePort.

You can't actually delete tones, You have to create a new blank patch to overwrite any previously saved tones.
@HugG0T you can download patches that were made on a POD X3 and install them into an X3 Live. Totally compatible.

@Review105 sorry not with that amp. Look at the Spider IV 75 watt and up models.
