I wouldn't want it unless they did it RPG style, like in Skyrim or Oblivion. I would be fine with the game having a smaller map like Morrowind as long as it was well-crafted and had good exploration/mechanics. Exploration is one of the best things about the Elder Scrolls series. Having complete linearity takes away from the mystery and open-endedness that makes the series for me. That was a big problem in Redguard. It just takes a lot of the excitement out of it. I don't think anyone is gonna complain about a TES RPG coming out as long as it has good mechanics, exploration, and gives us new lore while giving us new mysteries
My theory is that the Akaviri invaders during the Reman times were the last large group of men from Tsaesci who were coming to seek their Savior (AKA the Dragonborn/Reman). That would explain why Uriel V was met with such hostility, because he was fighting the snake men of Akavir and not the humans
@@idipped2521 But I mean the potentates and the names of all the Akaviri and the Dragonguard are all called Snake-Men. At the very least the Akaviri weren't normal humans as ESO has introduced some lore about whether the Tsaesci are shape shifters or not.
@@Priceluked Well yes but that could tie into the ancient perspective of European men seeing Asians as "snakes" and not trusting them due to cultural differences. But we have no reason to believe there aren't actual snake men in Akavir. I just believe that Japanese looking men came from there too
@@idipped2521 It's possible that Asiatic style humans did, but at the very least all named and confirmed Akaviri that were apart of the first invasion force were tailed reptilian beast folk. And the fact that any reference to the men of Akavir lists the Tsaesci as having eaten the humans. It seems though that the Tsaesci may in fact take on the attributes of what they devour so no way to know for sure yet.
Was that “copulating with a hillock” book written partially by Kirkbride? Cause he writes some of the best weird sex legends in Elder Scrolls. They sound so bizarre but they feel as authentic to me as Zeus appearing as a swan or the creation of the home isles in japan or other similar real life legends
the whole "hrol made love to a hillock and that hillock grew in size" thing could be translated as "hrol had a vision of snakes (taesci invasion) so he founded a tribe of warriors, these warriors conquered a defensible part of cyrodil with good farming land, and the local population, and interbred, and from that tribal lineage, Reman stems" if we did a geneology test on remans remains and found he was descended of hrol, but he had traces of proto-nedic blood in him, i wouldnt be at all suprised. Heck hrol sounds like a nord name, so thats probably the dragonborn link, Reman probably got atmorian blood on his fathers side. His "tribe of warriors" are probably descendants of the 500 that came with ysgramor. The descendants of the 500 probably travelled south from skyrim and settled in colovia and near the niben, with hrol growing up to become warlord in that tribe and conquering the bay that would one day be the imperial city.

I would love a podcast on the Nords and to talk about their rich history in tamriel/atmora but also on the Nordic Pantheon and how that plays out with the Skaal's religion of the All-maker. I really liked the Ulfric video that was posted a year ago, although I didn't 100% agree with the whole guilt part I definitely enjoyed the video and found that it was a very interesting take on the civil war. Perhaps a video idea or podcast could be a deep dive into the civil war in Skyrim? I find the topic very interesting especially due to the Stormcloaks, from playing the game and speaking to all the pro-Stormcloak families and NPC's its clear to me the civil war is not just about Talos or disliking the Thalmor (this is still important to the conflict none the less) but it is a wider war in both a physical and cultural sense. The Stormcloaks are battling the Empire and Thalmor on all fronts. The war is being waged culturally, physically and spiritually and the Nords are having a conflict of values, whether they should be more Imperial favoured or Nord favoured. There are interesting quotes from the Stormcloaks and Thalmor which support this, those being mainly from Ondolemar, Ulfric and Galmar. Anyway rambling and video ideas aside I'd just like to say that I very much enjoy these podcasts and I look forward to them everyweek, keep it up fudgemuppet crew.
I LOVE the podcasts, so please keep it up. I want to know about the "politics" of the divines church. Like the levels of priesthood, the way they train and get transfered. Possible beef between churches like the stendar chappel in chorrol and a stendar chapel somewhere else, maybe they argue over who is holier lol. Got anything? Ps. all 3 of you are my favorite for different reasons, but Scott, man, it seems like you have a tendency to speak over Michael or cut him off, so just chill a little let him speak lol.
idk, sounds pretty cut that they conquered blackmarsh for all intents and purposes. with the political deals that followed. It just seems more in terms of vassalage rather than outright direct control with officials in every village. unless you want to argue semantics.
I always wondered how the Reman Empire even stood a chance against Morrowind when it had 3 living gods as protectors. Those 3 were at the height of their power as Dagoth Ur didn't return to ambush them until centuries later. How did mere human soldiers and battlemages fight the Tribunal and their forces to a stalemate?
There was an event called the akaviri purge where most akaviri culture was destroyed and they were demonized. It could be said that the Akaviri potenate were demonized and blamed for the death of Remans. None of the things they 100% did line up with evil uncaring dictators
One of the most interesting takes I've ever actually read on the subject of Reman's birth was that King Hrol was basically reincarnated by Alessia or Akatosh to become Reman.
The myth at the start is pretty obviously related to Reman being a born out of wedlock, a wild oat. Got a shepardess pregnant. But obviously because that is frowned upon they tried not to meantion it directly.
I'm still halfway, but I'd assume that this podcast didn't talk about the Shonni-etta? Because that's Loverslab mod level of lore (for those who didn't know what the Shonni-etta is, it's about Reman and his two "female caretakers" and that all three has a kind of Thu'um given by Dibella called Diblashuut which is triggered by an orgasm).
When mentioning umaril I heard one of you mention he could be called unfeathered because he was descended from the bird folk. It’s definitely unfeathered as In “deprived”
I wouldn't want it to be strictly Japanese in flavor. It would need to feel very alien to match up to what we want it to be. One mistake they made while making the lore since Morrowind imo is that everything needs to be based on something from real life. Kinda put a lot of limitation on the lore. There would need to be semblances of Japanese influence scattered around from ancient history but the new Western Akaviri/Tsaesi culture should be not based on anything from real life imo
@@Priceluked No... The Elder Scrolls is not a strictly about Nirn. Nor should it be. If it was we wouldn't have the writings of the great MK, or any of the info about Pyandonea, Akavir, Yokuda, etc. I don't think most TES fans want the series to be a contiguous in time series all set in Tamriel. Having a game set in a different era/dragon break/different continent such as Akavir would be an injection of youth into the franchise. It would open up so much more lore for us to discuss. Especially if it was a combination of both. A way for them to keep the mystery about Akavir would be to give us a game set in the distant, distant past so for us to learn more about Akaviri culture and have more lore to discuss while also not letting us know what's going on there in the 4th era or even in the last 1000 years before the fourth era. I don't see why you wouldn't want that
Does we know that Summerset really was a part of the second empire? For me it sounds more like a lose vasall state, which would than make sense as soon as the interregnum starts, no imperial is at the isles, it is not divided like valenwood and the monarchs of the arana familie remains strong.
Remanda is 100% true. In oblivion you have a quest that has you translate the akaviri war letter the akaviri used a statue of Reman. Why would their be a massive statue of Reman before the invasion of akaviri unless the stories of him being placed upon the throne was true
They should make a animated adaptation after they release or even before ESVI if they do it before it would definitely increase sales thats if they hit the nail
What if Reman WAS King Hrol who "died" after prostrating (in deep prayer) himself upon a hill in response to receiving a vision from Alessia? 🤔 It would be him being reborn as a new dragonborn to maintain the pact.
Are the years shorter in the Elder Scrolls universe than in real life? I ask because it seems like technology doesn't advance as quickly in the games as it has in real life. Alessia had founded an empire that lasted 2000 years and society still seems pretty primitive after all that time. Irl from 1AD to 2000AD a we had a massive technological jump. People from 1AD would think modern humans are demigods or something lol
I think magic is partially to blame for that. When you have levitation, water breathing, telekinesis, long distance communication spells (Uriel V's mages used them to communicate during his invasion of Akavir), etc. its less important to come up with technology to do the same things. I imagine Alteration, which focuses on the manipulation of the natural world, is actually quite an extensive magic school that would have way more applications than Skyrim shows us. But I also think that the cultures of Tamriel were far more magically and technologically advanced in the past, and that they have actually gotten less advanced with time. You can see this in things like the magica wells and what essentially are magica batteries that the elves of Cyrodiil created and that no one knows how to replicate. The Dwemer are another example; they were extremely advanced in their tonal architecture, automotons, and metalurgy, but, again, no one knows how to replicate it. Even the Argonians had a more advanced civilization in the past that built all the zanmeer scattered across Black Marsh.
I've been spending lots of time around Skyrim's orcs recently, and a surprising number talk positively about the empire and the legion (lots of orcs both inside and outside of the strongholds have been in the legion), but I've never heard any mention the Stormcloaks. Still, I think an Orc who spends enough time around the Nords could easily come to side with them, especially since Nord culture values very similar things to Orc culture (bravery, strength, fighting skill). I doubt an orc would care much about Talos, though. They would join the Stormcloaks because they admire them, I think, rather than to fight the ban on Talos.
Is it possible that Pelinal yelled, 'Reman', and that people knew about this when Reman Cyrodil was born? Maybe his parents were trying to capture the prophecy, or maybe he took the name on later. Similar to Jesus Christ undoubtedly knowing the myth of the messiah, as an educated religious Jew.
I think as we go on to TES6 and future games. We will see the Elder Council rule and possibly become a bit corrupt in their ways. I don't think we will see the end of the 4th era in TES6 nor the end of the Aldmeri vs. Empire greater plot. I believe we may establish more of a decentralized Empire in TES6 and then possibly for. TES7 we would see a return to Cyrodil and have a player character that maybe would become the next Emperor or great the ground work for it. We eventually would get larger games with new hardware. So since we established Cyrodil in TES4, then the next game that features it could maybe include Blackmarsh and some other areas that would not be ideal for a centralized game. Just a thought.
the story of the next elder scrolls will be require you to have a fully competed skyrim save and will be your rise to the throne the real dragon guard will return and we will use a a new legion with a core of elite nords to crush all elves beneath the boots of the legion and then the universe will explode and reset

@@Donovels I definitely feel you on that, which is why after TES 6 they should give us a breath of fresh air and give us a game that's set at least 1000 years before Skyrim, in another continent such as Akavir, or both if they want to keep Akavir mysterious. A good way to do that would be to make a game set before or after the Akaviri dragon war which actually happened before the dragon war in Tamriel. So if they made a game in Akavir in the First or Merethic eras we would get to learn more about Akaviri culture while still keeping it a mystery as to what's happened there since the first/merethic eras. I just hope it would actually be an RPG like Skyrim or oblivion and not an adventures game
@@idipped2521 to the Elder Scrolls developers, Akavir is a lazy excuse to add katanas to the game. That's what I think tbh. Having a game set in Akavir is almost impossible if the mindset of the Elder Scrolls team stayed the same as it is from the Skyrim developing time. Of course the idea of the Second Akaviri invasion changed my perspective but as many other fans, I feel that it is even more unnecessary and badly written since it didn't even make one single sense in the end and became an excuse for the very unlikely Ebonheart Pact. The appearance of the Akaviri town in Elsweyr DLC was the most of what we actually seen of Akavir and sets a good chance for us to see more even in the Elder Scrolls VI but it is very unlikely to be something as big as Akavir or as small as a tiny piece of it. As for the Merethic Era and Dragon War, I think they are treasure troves that can be done really well with decent writers backing the project especially if the old writers returned on that one. With the current writing quality especially from what seen in ESO, I don't expect anything more than a Hollywood-fantasy writing style, nothing like the Epicness of the olden days. Still, if you want to see some Akavir stuff, google a Skyrim mod project called "Mysterious Akavir", it hasn't been active lately thanks to the fact that most modders are focusing on Beyond Skyrim but there is a hope that it returns one day.
@@Donovels I agree with the problem with developers. They need to bring back Michael Kirkbride because I feel like maybe they could use new leadership at the studio, and I think I would only trust him to make a game set in Akavir tbh
I think a way for us to get a game in Akavir while still keeping the mystery of it would be to give us a game there set in the Merethic/First Era. It would be completely unrelated to what's going on in Tamriel or basically even Akavir in the Fourth Era. It would be a completely new spin on the lore of the franchise and would be a big breath of fresh air. Plus it would give Fudgemuppet hundreds of new lore episodes to make. So much changes in the Elder Scrolls in even 500 years that taking us back 5000 years to Akavir would still leave A LOT of mystery around it when you factor in dragon breaks, power shifts, and time. The only thing is I would complain a lot of it wasn't an RPG. The Elder Scrolls series should never be action-adventure. RPG/Action RPG is the way or else it's gonna be shit

They tried that with the adventure games and both redgaurd and battlespire bombed
SHADOWSCALE
wow ive been away from the channel for a couple years i remember the 200k sub days good job guys
My theory is that the Akaviri invaders during the Reman times were the last large group of men from Tsaesci who were coming to seek their Savior (AKA the Dragonborn/Reman). That would explain why Uriel V was met with such hostility, because he was fighting the snake men of Akavir and not the humans
Except the fact that the Akaviri dragonguard of Reman are 100% known to be Tsaesci.
@@Priceluked Nothing is 100% known in the elder scrolls outside of the games. Especially from the first era which was a time of myth and legend
Can you do a podcast on Lorkhan and the Shezzarines
and also the 36 lessons of vivec
Hey don’t knock it. You find the proper grassy knoll with the right mossy texture, throw back a couple horns of meed and a handful of mushrooms and it’s a good time.

That’ll work

Yes this!!! I’ve wanted a topic like this on the Podcast for weeks now! Thank you!
Honestly I'd just be happy if we knew what the Tsaeci looked like, I have a headcanon they're kinda like khajiit in that they're one race that can look like all kinds of snakey (for anyone who knows about D&D, basically Yuan-Ti)
I was legit talking to my friend about the Akaviri Invasion
I LOVE the podcasts, so please keep it up. I want to know about the "politics" of the divines church. Like the levels of priesthood, the way they train and get transfered. Possible beef between churches like the stendar chappel in chorrol and a stendar chapel somewhere else, maybe they argue over who is holier lol. Got anything?
Ps. all 3 of you are my favorite for different reasons, but Scott, man, it seems like you have a tendency to speak over Michael or cut him off, so just chill a little let him speak lol.
I noticed how the camera had the bed framed between michael and scott..........
I'm hungover, and this is just...it makes sense of the world
God I love these. Had to take a couple months off as I was crazy busy as work, but now going back to binge them all, and it's wonderful.
idk, sounds pretty cut that they conquered blackmarsh for all intents and purposes. with the political deals that followed. It just seems more in terms of vassalage rather than outright direct control with officials in every village.
unless you want to argue semantics.
Love your work guys your channel is a gem ! Wish you had 10 million subscribers !
Plot armour
Ez, Reman was Cyrodiil come while the Tribunal weren't
Wait I haven’t even finished the Allesian Podcast and you already made a new one?
There was an event called the akaviri purge where most akaviri culture was destroyed and they were demonized. It could be said that the Akaviri potenate were demonized and blamed for the death of Remans. None of the things they 100% did line up with evil uncaring dictators
How do the akaviri know what dragonborn is? Moreover.. How would they know what proves one.
It's always so odd how Tamreial feels so huge in the lore but when you play the games it feels so small.
that's because the map in the games is just a representation of the map in the lore. The same thing is with GTA games
Well I mean the whole dynasty is started out of wedlock, pretty sure the bill banger wasn’t consummating a marriage
Hill*
I'm still halfway, but I'd assume that this podcast didn't talk about the Shonni-etta? Because that's Loverslab mod level of lore (for those who didn't know what the Shonni-etta is, it's about Reman and his two "female caretakers" and that all three has a kind of Thu'um given by Dibella called Diblashuut which is triggered by an orgasm).
When mentioning umaril I heard one of you mention he could be called unfeathered because he was descended from the bird folk. It’s definitely unfeathered as In “deprived”
Listening to this while the rain is falling outside. Perfection.
PS: I am so in love with the way drew speaks and narrates
I don't remember Harry humping the cupboard under the stairs!? What fan fic have you been reading?
The best part is when Hagrid in full crusader plate screams Harry's name near the forest well before Harry was born
I wonder what happens to Akavir when a new Kalpa begins...
Drew you were the MVP this podcast💪💪💪
Can you make a Video about "What if Gelebor and Vyrthur knew about Falion Cure?"
Ave, true to Caesa- wait wrong game.
Edit: Also wrong empire
I hope viewer retention is through the roof. I love ya Fudgemuppet.
i want a podcast on the 36 lessons of vivec. if you could do that, it would be awesome. (please?)
I hope one day we get a game in Akavir, can you imagine how epic the Japanese mythology and architecture, weapons would be
I wouldn't want it to be strictly Japanese in flavor.
I've always thought it would be really great to do a spin-off game, not a main line TES game, the way they did Redguard.
Elder Scrolls is about Tamriel, and there's no way we have a game in Akavir when we haven't even gone to each province.
I don't see why you wouldn't want that
@@idipped2521 you’re 100% right on all counts. I couldn’t agree more.
Listen to these podcasts while walking , lmao
Great vid, chaps.
Does we know that Summerset really was a part of the second empire? For me it sounds more like a lose vasall state, which would than make sense as soon as the interregnum starts, no imperial is at the isles, it is not divided like valenwood and the monarchs of the arana familie remains strong.
Drew has a really good narrater voice
You guys could make a podcast about the great houses of morrowind, that would be great
Juilek Cyrodiil was the greatest ruler, he was even deemed by the Tribunal to be the ruler Tamriel needs
Remanda is 100% true. In oblivion you have a quest that has you translate the akaviri war letter the akaviri used a statue of Reman. Why would their be a massive statue of Reman before the invasion of akaviri unless the stories of him being placed upon the throne was true
They should make a animated adaptation after they release or even before ESVI if they do it before it would definitely increase sales thats if they hit the nail
going to watch every video in this playlist. cant wait for tes6 and the lore videos that come after that release
Fr though beards looking good michael
Maybe make a video on TES' most dissagreeable retcons. Like Jungle Cryrodil to LotR Cryrodil.
What if Reman WAS King Hrol who "died" after prostrating (in deep prayer) himself upon a hill in response to receiving a vision from Alessia? 🤔
It would be him being reborn as a new dragonborn to maintain the pact.
Diamonds bright, haters don't see me, all my ice Akaviri ice.
Which lvl of conjuration you need to summon Michael?
Black marsh was burned to ash by Reman II and the hist itself surrendered the marsh
They couldn't even harm me in any way. Such Weak Beings
Who would even want to harm you, you are boring
Never put two and two together and realized the tsaesci were a reference to real life "lizard elite" conspiracy lmao
Hey FM, been a long time since you've done one but with Sim Settlements 2 out have you considered any new FO4 builds?
Hey I’m deciding to do an orc playthrough so what side of the civil war do you recommend for an orc
They ain’t messin’ with Malacath and they seem to have a grudge act Imperials. They’d probably side with the elves just for that.
@@taylororourke2525 elves? It’s still imperial
What mics are scott and michael using that they dont interfer with each other
All this time I thought it was the ramen Empire! I suppose it's for the best after all cheese and ramen don't go together all that well.
Spoiler alert: Michael is actually Scott's son.
REMAAAANN!!!!!!!
Copulating with a rock, sounds like a Tuesday to me 🤣😭
the story of the next elder scrolls will be require you to have a fully competed skyrim save and will be your rise to the throne the real dragon guard will return and we will use a a new legion with a core of elite nords to crush all elves beneath the boots of the legion and then the universe will explode and reset
Thank you
So looking forward to the Dark Brotherhood episode!
Michael what is going on with your eyes, choose somewhere to look! Lmao

I love the content so far but I haven't been really watching since I have spent almosy two years reading the Lore and there nothing new for me to discover. If only Fudge Muppet decided to make a Series covering all the Lore about the Elder Scrolls spin-offs and the Elder Scrolls Online and their main stories, this would be a blast!
They cover lore from every aspect of the universe. It would help to go and watch the videos before you comment such a thing
@@idipped2521 yes of course, I have been watching them for almost four years if my memory serves right. But that is a long time, friend. And of course as an Elder Scrolls fan fiction writer, I spent a lot of time doing homework. That's why I crave for content I am not aware about not that the current content is beneath me or anything.

Need an elder scrolls title set during remans rise to unite the first empire with the main conflict unifying Tamriel. Or Tiber septims rise so they can continue to develop the shouts
I was thinking one that takes place in the years between the dragon break and reman would be cool because that is nearly a 400 year period which is the length of the 3rd era
