I loved the way that everyone pulled together to prepare the room and decorations, what a wonderful feeling of family and community that was. Oh, I held it together until the church singing, and I've been leaking tears ever since. I cry at weddings. Even those I see on the internet, even those who are not of my own faith. And no worries about the no pictures of the actual wedding, a lot of our faiths don't allow it anyway. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful time with your family with us!

What a beautiful wedding and video! I grew up in Ohio, living in Clermont and Brown counties. I still have close family living there. The singers were among the most heavenly and beautiful sounding that I have ever….heard. I only wish that they made cd’s to sell. The countryside was beautiful! This really is a beautiful witness to what a caring and strong community and family can do. I'm blown away by everyone's desire to be helpful and to actually CARE about the bride and groom. Not to rain on the occasion, but if I had even a quarter of the support you all give each other I wouldn't look back on my wedding with sadness. Same with watching all the support you got with Harper after she was born! By my 4th child it was crickets. I sobbed in the hospital because my room was empty of flowers, gifts, and visitors. I came home to a messy house with 3 other children and almost immediately afterwards my husband became seriously ill and was hospitalized. We had no money, almost no help except for what was absolutely needed to keep the kids safe, and I almost ended up in a mental institution because of the stress. I know you don't take it for granted, but I just wanted to share the contrast because it really is a MASSIVE witness to your faith, family, and community. I've considered becoming Mennonite many times in my life, but there isn't a Mennonite community where I live. Plenty of Old Order Amish, but not Mennonite. I became Catholic and am very slowly building a small community.
I’m so sorry! That sounds so lonely! It’s easy to forget at times that some of the things we do aren’t the norm..😔 I do take it for granted at times - but I truly am thankful for my heritage and community!
God Bless you!! I can understand to some extent how you feel. I’m an only child and an only grandchild. My Mom was an only and my Dad was the baby in his family. I lost my parents within 6 weeks of each other and then went through 6 months I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Destroyed my left ankle and had to have all kinds of surgery, my house was robbed, 2 car accidents, downsized from my job of over 15 years and on and on and on. I have no family at all. Not even cousins or Aunts and Uncles. I wound up pushing people away because the pity was hard to deal with. I know everyone meant well but people just need encouragement not pity and being told how they should be handling things. Just encouragement. I watch these videos because it reminds me that there is still a life for me. There are good people who just love and support each other even though there might be drama. There is hope. We can’t give up. Again, God Bless you!! I’m sending prayers and hugs and positive thoughts. You are loved!
(From Jon's wife): It is Satan's studied aim to get people to constantly focus on what they don't have (remember Eve in the Garden of Eden...Paradise!) rather than on all the good things that GOD has abundantly given them. How have you cultivated friendships and made them your family? I know what I'm talking about because I have biological family, but they are not warm or supportive, but I have friends that will do anything for me as I will for them. The Bible says that he that wants to have friends must show himself friendly. Go out and do something for others, get involved in the community, or a church. Focus on the good that you've been blessed with, and if these videos make you covet what you don't have, then stop watching them! Bring all the joy you can into your family's lives and you will not feel sad, but be full of gratitude. I hope that this was just a one time post and that your life is really joy-full.
Considering this was not professionally done the dining place was absolutely stunning. The fresh flowers and the hanging "planter" over the bridal table looked as good as anything I have seen any florist create. Thanks for sharing. The scenery there in Ohio is breathtaking and everything feels so welcoming and restful.

such beautiful wedding, the beauty of the lush green grass and the countryside is such a view. I lived in Orrville, Ohio as a teenager for only 4 yrs, but I loved all the memories of the seasons. Now, I live in Los Angeles, CA and there is no comparison to the beautiful countryside of Ohio and the green hills. Thank you for sharing your family, lifestyle and good foods with us, I appreciate it so much!

So I am from Fl I was raised and lived till I was 25...I have since moved to Amish Country (Greenville pa) and really do appreciate the wholesomeness of this place....Our Wal-mart legit has a horse barn, Aldi has a rail for the horses to tie to...so cool. I also discovered Walnut Creek foods here and they are amazing...they have a pepper mustard that is divine, but I'm restricted to what the local store has so thanks for the link and the coupon!
Wow! I've never seen a Mennonite wedding ceremony before! How beautiful they look together as they begin their journey together. ❤ May they live to be 100 years old and have good health and much happiness! I can't wait to hear about her pregnancy...☺️

Hi Lynette. I was born in Marietta Ohio. Still have family all over Ohio. I never thought I'd be able to view an Amish Wedding, so thank you for inviting us all in. Seeing the bakery was so cool. I love and grew up on the cinnamon rolls. Yum. Lol. I love your air b&b house. I wish I was raised in Ohio instead of Southern California.
I had a great life here, but missed being raised around my Mom's family. It's so beautiful there. This to me, was perfect, beautiful, breathtaking. Thank you so much. Congratulations to your sister & brother in law. I haven't been back to Ohio since I was 4. I just turned 63, so this was so very special to me.

How beautiful! I had a large family as a child and that was wonderful. What a great sense of community. Gorgeous countryside. I bet the food was delicious. So thrilled to see people living well and a sane existence! I grew up with acapello church music. I never saw the flames of colors before. This renews my faith that there are so many good people out there! Thank you! May the new couple have a wonderful life together!
I really enjoyed seeing this video, especially the scenes of Holmes County. I used to visit there nearly every year with my best friend and have driven those roads many, many times. Sadly, she is now in a care center and it's too far for me to travel by myself from the Missouri Ozarks. Love Walnut Creek Foods and shopped there every time we visited since we usually stayed at the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek. To this day, it's my favorite hotel. Also really enjoyed the footage of your lovely family and the wedding. Thank you for sharing it with us.
