Hey, great video to go over all the differences and fair assessment. I bet you also had a lot of fun riding the bikes. One additional difference, which might be important for many is that the BF1 comes with Sun Ringlé Mulefut SL rims and the BF2 and 3 comes with a (generic?) Alloy rim. There's not a lot of detail on the difference between the hubs.
LoL! Just so you know, when I was very young, my grandad used to kneel in the kitchen to rake out the ashes from the Aga cooker. And as his feet were sticking out he gained the name "big fat foot" from us kids!!!!!! 😂
Hello, I have a 26” wheel fat bike that was designed around 120mm rst renegade suspension fork. The fork is toast now so I want to get a rigid fork. I got two forks that were 184mm axle to crown and the bottom bracket sits way too low. This Norco bike has a rigid fork that is bigger than most fat bike rigid forks because it is for a 27.5 fat bike. I wonder if this is the only rigid fork with enough length to be close to my 120mm RST renegade suspension fork. What should I take in consideration for this risky swap. Are there any forks available with an axle to crown longer than norco rigid fork?
I am new to fat bikes. I just finished my 3rd fat ride ever. I was on a 2 hour test ride with snow, crust and ice as well as some pavement. I had a Bigfoot 2 with these same tires as in the video. I noticed a strong tendency for the front end to try to sharpen up the turn I was making. This was a surprise to me (I didn't feel this on an Otso Voytek bike I demo'ed). As a newbie, I found this a bit off-putting (as in - Hey, who's driving this thing!). Did you note this effect? I was wondering if it is the bike or the tires that causes this effect. For all I know, it might be considered a good thing by more skilled riders. Any comments?
Thanks for the video! I enjoyed watching this!! I gave it thumbs up 😉
