What fun I’m having watching all these Joyce Grenfell sketches. Thank you for posting them. I’m sure that you’re bringing lots of pleasant memories to lots of people, and lots of joy to those who have just discovered this wonderful lady.
The way she changes her mouth and pulls faces from 1:07 is spot on. I knew a lady who went to boarding school and said words like ‘frightful’ and this is basically her.
Her ability to get a laugh from what seemed a throwaway line at the end - PRICELESS! NO so-called "comedienne" these days could come anywhere close to her.
Joyce was extraordinary. But it's such a shame you can't watch anything pre-2000 on RUclips without every other comment being a boomer who chose to stay behind and thinks that means they were left behind, whining and crying about everything new.
I'm a 13 year old girl from 2020 and I am listening to this still. She is so funny!!!
You have excellent taste.😁
Of course you are. And not just a 45 yo that lives in a mobile home that likes collecting ‘likes’
@@xr6lad you're weird
@@xr6lad Why would a mobile home like collecting likes?
Love people with character and Joyce Grenfell was. Absolutely fanatstic, can't stop laughing at the wonderful voices and performance. Brilliant stuff.
An absolutely wonderful clever performer. She was so astute in her observations of people. Bravo. may she RIP
The epitome of grace, wit and kindness.
Dear Joyce, remembered with love and affection.
Gentle humour at its very best. Modern so-called comedians are nothing compared with Joyce Grenfell
Hugh Mackay Although it would be awful boring if it was all the same.
Ahh, Joyce. What class, what talent. We don't have people like her now. Pure comic genius.
Instablaster.
A woman who understands the importance of pockets. Love her already.
So lovely. So gentle. Miss actors/comedians like her.
what memories her monologues bring back, she was a hard act to follow, her life story is fasinating

You are so right. I always loved Joyce. It's a delight to be able to see her again. I just can't find one of my favourites, Cocktail Party.
Superb...I had forgotten what an artist she was...thank you for the reminder!
Genius - no set, no effects, no props bar the hat: creates a whole world......
"Maintenant... Madame Clansh" Lumpy Latimer is so *earnest*
So cute and funny.
Fantastic talent she could create whole worlds with her monologues way ahead of her time

What a beautiful voice she has!
I think we could all relate to that one!
“Isn’t she nice? I wonder why we hated her?” !! 😁👍
Just discovering these for the first time (I do remember her on some game shows when I was a kid) She is brilliant!
A joy always, thank you so much for posting this!
Just wonderful. They really don't make 'em like this anymore.
Thank you for sharing this lovely footage in the true spirit of RUclips!
As a result of your contribution I shall purchase the DVD set.
Pure genius. And only a hat for a prop!
She was a genius.
She made us believe we could see all the invisble people.
Her ability to get a laugh from what seemed a throwaway line at the end - PRICELESS! NO so-called "comedienne" these days could come anywhere close to her.
Every line of this makes me laugh! I love her!
It is many years since I saw the Lumpy Latimer sketch and watching it again tonight I thought how much the character resembled Sarah, Duchess of York
To Adam Bede ,Dear Lord ,never in life!.
A true great bless you lady x
So clever. So observant. So ... Joyce.
Much missed.
Brilliant, just like Talking Heads , I loved that series
"Let's all foregather!" Lol
I wonder why they hated her?,! Just too funny!
Another greatonologue!
The dresses she wears are glamorous, and I would be proud to wear them today, makes instagragram influences look cheap, and tatty,
I think that this may be the source of Miranda Richardson’s ‘Queenie’ in Blackadder 2
Such a beautiful and funny lady :
Remind s me of auntie June.
Old fashioned in a nice way Victoria wood

Wonderful stuff…. slightly scary as I thought I was the only Keith Clinch??
How's Lumpy these days?
I hope, if you are in the habit of visiting France, you remember to introduce yourself as Keith Claaaaaaansh.
A very talented woman, a one off…
