  • Rediscovered baroque music of Bolivia performed by Florilegium with Bolivian soloists.
The Florilegium ensemble sets out on a trip under supervision of director Ashley Solomon to Latin grounds in order to collaborate with Polish Musicologist Piotr Nawrot to make restored music from the 17th century audible.
Three albums were recorded since the first tour in 2004. They are available from our webpage: www.channelclassics.com and as original quality DSD audio download at www.nativedsd.com

Dejame adivinar, sos peruano verdad?

It's not Bolivian baroque. It's Spanish baroque in Bolivia. The video exhibits a malicious and ideological lack of historical and cultural context.

Nope, the archive is vast and is mostly anonymous.

@@angelicamonjetorrez6392 Vast or not, anonymous or not, the works precede the existence of Bolivia and, therefore, cannot be Bolivian. They were produced during the Viceroyalty and they are clearly European in nature, specifically Spanish.

@@jaimendaniel5578actually there’s music in the Bolivian archives. Name given bc its where they are today. That have music from before the viceroy times. Hehe so? What then? the legacy is not spanish, it’s actually Swiss.

@@angelicamonjetorrez6392 ¿Why Swiss? Your internal psychological identity conflicts, your feelings of inferiority, your problem. Reality is what it is. Of course Andean people had their own music too, but they were not Bolivian... There is no such a thing as a Bolivian baroque because Bolivia is an artificial State born yesterday, so to speak, and its culture is a blend of non-Bolivian elements. The fact that they happen to be now in what today is Bolivia, is immaterial. The problem here lies in the fact that English and Jews made this video and they are hell bent in undermining or ignoring all things Spanish. It's also absurd to name a country after some dude.
