    Losing to this Leicester team should be a sackable offense on its own. The fact that he has Tottenham in 15th and people are still defending him goes beyond me, or maybe Levy is waiting to see if he gets to the cup final so he can treat him the same way he did with Mr.Mourinho.

    Spurs have had an average squad ever since Harry Kane left last year. Hardly any of the starting 11 (except Vander Ven) would do so on another top team. Levy had a chance to build a strong team around Harry Kane but refused to do so. Listen to Mourinho and Conte's comments as they left the team. Nothing has changed except that their best player has left, and the second-best (Son) has declined without Kane, with age also a factor. However, the blame is always on the manager, not the ownership. Bring on Ryan Mason to finish the season & hopefully escape relegation for the team with the world's best stadium....some things never change with Spurs......

      Totally agree. Watch the Vardy interview. He said something along the lines of ".... we know there will be spaces..."
      What does that tell you? Every team that plays against Spurs, will know they stand a chance.
      Darrent Bent said something similar too.
      If Leicester can put 2 past Spurs. What about the better teams?
      Don't you all think that these teams will know there will be spaces to exploit against Spurs too. And for teams they are not doing well , they know there is hope because Spurs has only one DNA style of playing.
      I understand injuries.
      But then don't you tweak your tactics to minimise the weakness in the team because of these injuries.
      For example, we have teenagers in the team. So what do you do in order to help them? More so if they are playing out of position?
      You provide more cover for the teenagers to cope with the pressure, don't leave your midfield empty...

      @@baileyjones5744you’re right you can’t really coach a new formation, style and tactics during a busy period mid season.
      However, he should have already coached a plan B and possibly a plan C into his team during pre season, he’s had 2 pre seasons, it shows poor planning and a lack of coaching. Other managers fluidly switch from back 4 to back 5 mid game when needed, they haven’t suddenly decided midweek to train a new formation.

    • @baileyjones5744
      @baileyjones5744 9 дней назад +2

      @andrewcharlton6080 I disagree. You will be amazed at how many managers make minimal changes too their style or their tactics. Most successful managers in modern football have one way of playing or a tleast one preferred way of playing. Very rarely did they deviate from that style. You make a valid point he should have predicted that injuries are going to happen and be prepared for that but can you blame him for not seeing how big of a crisis it would be. It's not normal for a club to have this many players out. Look at the sqaud today. We have 11 players all basically dead on their feet. Most of them can't run anymore due to the amount of non stop games they have played. And pur bench had 1 or 2 senior players in it. We didn't even have enough to submit a full bench

    Parodoxically the more games Spurs lose, the more reason to keep Ange and allow him to see out his two-year contract. He must be held accountable for what has happened this season, and at season's end, if we are relegated, he can front up and say "this happened on my watch". Sacking him seems the easiest option but it is not ... in any case it would achieve nothing, absolutely nothing, at this point in time.

    Right now I'd take a loss at Liverpool if it guaranteed a win at Brentford, I'm so scared that we are going down. I have zero confidence that we will win any of our next five league games against Brentford, Man Utd, Ipswich, Man City or Bournemouth. The way we are playing now, at the very best.... I see possibly 1 point out of all those games.

    • @darthwiizius
      @darthwiizius 9 дней назад

      If you lose to Brentford you'll have gone from 19 points from your first 12 games to 5 from your 2nd 12 games. If you maintain that performance to the end you finish on 29 or 30 points.

      I doubt you'll actually be this bad over the last 14 games. Much as I might get the highest levels of schadenfreude if you do it would be bittersweet, no LND would be a big loss, no a massive loss. There's no other real derby in London, the plastic blues in Fulham, and West Ham wish there was but there isn't. Even though you're not really in London, hehe. I think come the end of the season you'll get some injuries back and all the small teams will be shagged out and be where you have been over the last couple of months.

    How can you mention how Spurs starting lineup is better than Leicester’s without mentioning how fatigued the Spurs players are? Not to mention that half of them shouldn’t be playing due to injury but they don’t have a choice.

      Listen. Injuries are always a valid excuse imo. But 1 point out of the last 21? Cmon. They need a new manager to come in and fire these players up to get a few results or they genuinely will get relegated.
      These teams like Leicester, Ipswich etc all the lowest teams always improve their results in the 2nd half of seasons.
      Teams like Arsenal, Liverpool etc will rest players here and there against Ipswich but against Spurs no matter how bad they are they won't rest players purely on reputation.
      Imagine Spurs get 3-6 points out of the next possible 21... that'd even be an improvement but they'd still be right in the thick of a relegation fight by then

    Perhaps the injuries are because of Ange-los training regimen. Always backed the guy but you just can't lose to Lester at home, too spursy, even if Levy is your chairman. What was that team talk at half up 1-0? 'Doing great mates! We got this one in the bag' Not sure why sub Richarlison after 50-odd mins, your only real striker and goal scorer in 1st half, I guess he did hit that post pretty hard on the play so perhaps that. But that left you with Son-wideman up top. Also, what was Davies doing on the 2nd goal? Let the attacker shoot, didn't close him down, no attempt at blocking. Porro is top notch in crossing and can pop a goal from distance but gives the ball away at times and is quite poor defensively. Overall, yeah, season's over mate.

    Tottenham has the worse coach in the Premier League. Ange began to remove the Captainship from Hoejbjerg, next not playing him and finally to sell Pierre. Pierre was a top player at Southampton, under Jose at Tottenham and now at Marseille and made the captain at Marseille after only a handful of matches, and Denmark Stalwart for 5 years. Tottenham is a suicide club now.
