  • Learn why and how to make the 9-ball on the break. Stop giving free games to your opponents via a Golden Break! In this video, I show what gaps are responsible for the 9-ball traveling straight towards the corner pocket after the break. Also, I demonstrate a way to gap-rack to make the 9-ball on the snap consistently with a magic rack. By Jake from World of Pool and Billiards.
Thanks for watching. Watch until the end of the video for a sneak listen to one of my upcoming videos! Don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video.

So therefore the golden break happens when there is a gap between balls. So therefore if perfectly racked 9 balls, golden break will never ever happen.

This is nice if you are racking to fleece your buds, however you probably only would be racking if you were losing. This vid teaches nothing about breaking to increase the probability of making the nine, or to make some balls so you can keep shooting.

As a future billiard player (representing Malaysia), I would like to master this skill, so I could always break my opponents' hearts someday!

Never allow someone to break their own rack.

If the balls are racked correctly you won’t be able to sink the 9

I saw a nine ball break in a book in the 80'S and started using it and had great success on making the nine ball on the break. So it is all about where the cue ball is placed, the English and how hard you break.

I have practiced the 9 ball break more than most have spend playing pool & did a statictical study on the 9 ball break in college. Then if you add in all the 9 ball breaks I’ve watched others hit it’s been in the millions. I was always amazed when the 9 rolled straight in to the left or right corner. What a sight and like what caused that. Lol. Good video. Cheers

This is why almost all tournaments dont count 9 on the breaks as a win. Also, they dont allow magic racks, sardo tight racks, etc, anymore as it makes making a ball too easy on the break.
