@@Sta6kA No, Wels catfish are an invasive species almost everywhere except near the Caspian sea, black sea and west Germany. This fish is responsible for the extinction or endangerment for many many freshwater/river species. They have almost no predators.
It is indeed useful to know what threats lurk when you do this but there is not much that threatens a grown man where he is. I live with alligators and a million different venomous snakes so no I wouldn't have my feet like that where I am!
Well, catfish are always in invasive and always a problem. And at the beginning of the video, whatever he's saying is more or less "look at this, catfish ate everything, there are nothing left but catfish". So I guess yeah, eating this 1,2m long apex predator fish instead of letting it live and continue it's rampage could have been an option. Well in fact I am almost sure that in France if you catch one it's forbidden to throw it back into the water (and this dude is French speaking so it's probably in France ?).
I would never let my feet down... This guy with those flippers on casually moving around and throwing that cast so effortlessly, this is a guy that enjoys what he does and doesn't give a fuck what lurks underneath and I do hear catfishes bite... Ain't he afraid??
Impressed he didn't get stuck in the trees, bit suspicious about the frog on top of red weeds as camera panned away then back he stopped pulling in as if he knew something was going to happen
I remember fishing with excitement with my father as a kid. Till we got some big fish and father smashed it's head. I never went fishing again. I am a vegetarian for 30 years. Nice video with happy ending.
from what i'm watching most of the time with this dude's casting and reeling it in was too impatient . when he slowed down and mimicked how a FROG would actually act in nature the fish were hitting the bait.
Not that simple. Sometimes they want it fast, sometimes they want it slow. A good angler knows this and switches it up until he gets it dialed in. Which is what he was doing.
Yes....slow it down some and make it more erratic. I use a stop and go retrieve.....I stop right on those little breaks in the grass and edges...over limbs etc.....act like it's injured and can barely make it from cover to cover.....
Some of us are fishermen, but this guy is an angler. I was mesmerized by your casting skills.
Same perfect spot every time. I woulda snagged the bank at least a couple times
Yep, perfection
I was mesmerized by his lure lol. I might as well be a catfish
Definitely mastered the sidearm and flipcast.
Dude is so good

I ain't no fisherman, but only took two minutes to admire that spot on casting
I'm more impressed with his perfect cast placement every time. I'd be retrieving it out the bushes every other cast lol
I'm more impressed his feet are dangling In the water
This dude can cast! Awesome job!!

That water looks scary as hell 😮😮
I must say you have excellent casting skills.
@michael sullivan you know it can be both.
Dude got some nice bait and cast the hell out of it. Had some nice misses and then a nice catch. Got a new subscriber. Was fun to watch. Great video
4:21 is my favorite part! A fellow Thunder Brother!
Feels like these water got big anaconda sleeping or waiting down there
For real 😂 It's scary to think something unusual in that water
😄
Only in Amazonas
Catfish prolly ate em all like big fatties
Exactly... I was scared of that the during the whole video.. I was thinking about some crocodiles too
Nice catch and release.... let the fish grow bigger👍👍👍👍

why did he release it? because of political correctness?
He is brave using his feet with flippers to paddle around that water, I would have a panic attack putting my legs in there

Great accuracy with your casts.
Wow! What a wonderful casting tutorial.
It appears the fish was caught on a live crawfish. Great fishing video and demo of the frog.
ngl the European welsh catfish is one of the baddest freshwater beasts out there! nice casting aswell!
Great bravery shown by u sir
I don't like killing fishes in the name of fishing.

These waters are damn beautiful! Where is this?
Cool video man. The fisherman's silhouette when you would miss setting the hook had me dieing laughing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Most realistic fishing video ever.
That looks like a sweet fishing spot, I dig all the colors
The colors are something!
Not to mention some huge wels!!
Yes I underestimated the beauty of European waters
I haven't heard that "toasty" line in over 20 years wasn't expecting that👌
Great ! Beautiful specimen and authentic sport fishing and not predatory, it was not going to be consumed and it is allowed to live!
Eh it's bad to let them go because it's an invasive species.
I'd fry that beauty up

Such clear water and beautiful location
What a beautiful place to fish 🎣
Nice Wells. Been cool to see you hook one of them 6 footers and drag your little boat all over the lake. Been a cool ride.
My dad and I used to catch grass frogs and use them as bait. Those and crawdads worked very well.
The water and the water plants look amazing. I wonder what plants those are.
As if the fish wasn't already annoyed you then took his dinner off him....😄
Where was this filmed? Beautiful.
