      The term is often used in relation to casts which were successfully thrown towards a great looking fishing hole that is mostly blocked by things such as tree branches, logs, Lilly pads, etc…

      @@Sta6kA No, Wels catfish are an invasive species almost everywhere except near the Caspian sea, black sea and west Germany. This fish is responsible for the extinction or endangerment for many many freshwater/river species. They have almost no predators.

      It is indeed useful to know what threats lurk when you do this but there is not much that threatens a grown man where he is. I live with alligators and a million different venomous snakes so no I wouldn't have my feet like that where I am!

      Well, catfish are always in invasive and always a problem. And at the beginning of the video, whatever he's saying is more or less "look at this, catfish ate everything, there are nothing left but catfish". So I guess yeah, eating this 1,2m long apex predator fish instead of letting it live and continue it's rampage could have been an option. Well in fact I am almost sure that in France if you catch one it's forbidden to throw it back into the water (and this dude is French speaking so it's probably in France ?).

    I remember fishing with excitement with my father as a kid. Till we got some big fish and father smashed it's head. I never went fishing again. I am a vegetarian for 30 years. Nice video with happy ending.

    from what i'm watching most of the time with this dude's casting and reeling it in was too impatient . when he slowed down and mimicked how a FROG would actually act in nature the fish were hitting the bait.

      Not that simple. Sometimes they want it fast, sometimes they want it slow. A good angler knows this and switches it up until he gets it dialed in. Which is what he was doing.

    Great casts, but try to real in a bit slower, give the fish time to bite!

      Yes....slow it down some and make it more erratic. I use a stop and go retrieve.....I stop right on those little breaks in the grass and edges...over limbs etc.....act like it's injured and can barely make it from cover to cover.....

    Super vidéo je ne me lasserai jamais de regarder des actions en surface 🤩
    Effectivement l'inconvénient de la frog c'est qu'on a beaucoup de ratés, et puis là vu la quantité d'herbes tu ne peut même pas faire ressortir les hameçons...
    Sinon dommage qu'on ne puisse pas les relâcher les silures car ils sont nuisibles et ils bouffent tout 🤣
