While not very interested in a triskate setup, I do like how it’s slowly getting traction and appealing to a different group and potential customers. More people with wheels under their feet is always a welcome sight. In addition, thanks for all the podcasts. You’re stuff helps me get through the work day when I can spare a bit of mental resources to listen in and laugh along. I find your voice is quite the “radio voice”, very pleasant to listen to. I also hope to see more tutorials, I feel like I’m hitting that next wall before I feel I’ve “levelled up” and could use some new perspectives.
I don't get something. If you want skates for tricks, slalom, aggressive city skating why do you need a lot of speed? And if you want speed what's the problem with crossing over a long frame? Even three wheels speed frames have the front a back wheels sticking out and in general is not so hard to cross over a 100x4 speed skate. I stay with 4x80 in the city and 4x100 for speed skating and leave the three wheels for after the hype, when/if prices get down...
I ask myself the same question all the time. I think there’s something fun about exploring a city, skating all around town jumping stairs and stuff. This is not fun with 60mm wheels. I love my long 125s for speed/distance, but need something in the middle. Personally, after 25 years of hockey, I struggle doing crossovers on long frames and prefer the shorter ones.
Thank you for answering. The typical aggressive two 60mm wheels skate is also not for me but for getting around 4x80 (or maybe 2x80+2x76 like some hockey setup) if fine. They are reasonably fast, maneuverable, short, stable and, last but not least, cheap. For speed needless to say speed skates are the best!
I'm not to much of a fan of the built built quality from Powerslide when it comes to the mid range skates, but they high-end products are usually ok and when it comes to weight unbeatable. My Seba SX for example witch weighs about 1kg (boot only) and my Tau a bit over 700g. Also the trinity system makes the fairly low too. Imagine a setup a bit lighter than the Aeons (also an ok setup from from Powerslide :) ) but with way more responsiveness and faster, that's how the tau fell to me. Cheers and thanks again for the NR/R 100 comparison.
@@BacktoBlading I recommend you try to find a 2017 model, it's most likely to be cheaper it's more breathable and I think felt more control in the 80/76mm than in the 3x90 i tried I really wish there were more and lighter Power blades on the market!
14:56 for anyone who wants to hear about three-wheel skates

Thanks! Will try to keep the content flowing. I really love doing it.
Just got a new pair of skates with 4x80 and I'm excited to try them out. I wish I could skate with you one day 😂 Love your videos!
I think you’re gonna love them! Hit me up if you’re in Raleigh.
Best urban setup for you as ex Hockey player and agressive skater = powerslide Trinity 3x100 231mm i beat on, first time love!!
Too short!! My foot is 28.5cm, that’s like me standing on a baseball!

Ever heard of the USD Realm skates? They retail for only around $150 and come with flat setup.
I have, didn’t realize they were flat. Good catch!
Not really very much about triskates here. Not even mentioned until last 5 minutes and then only one setup? Title is a bit misleading.
Appreciate the feedback. I wanted to start with the standard four wheel setup and explain the benefits and shortcomings.
