Nooooo You've been screwed over by a misaligned map! Hate it when that happens. As someone who has been there can confirm you got the correct building in the second round!
on the second round, in brussels, the blurred parts are either military facilities or the royal family residency (the big park), which is why its blurred
@GeoPeter To answer your question about why so many places are blurred in Bruxelles, on your second guess there, the northern part of the Cinquantenaire is the Royal Army Museum, and is technically considered military domain, and thus blurred, even though it's public access. And the huge park and palace at 3:46 is the Palace of Laeken, which is the King's residence and blurred for security reasons, the same as the Royal Palace just south of the park at 5:25.
I didn't have the unity script turned on, so the most dificult one for me was Dubai. You saw the palm islands and the world islands. All I got was the inside of a bar. I was standing under the St Louis arch, so that one was easy, and I had a great view of the viaduct so Segovia was easy also.
This was a really fun one, I've been practising the "FAMOUS PLACES from above" map a fair bit on Unity Script v5.2.7 (Newer versions are laggy and Mapillary looks bad imo.) I perfect scored both games.. besides the Shanghai one, I was relieved you also got it wrong.. not that I'm not rooting for you, just competitive.. I didn't know about the tilted maps thing in China, very interesting. GG!
For your "no guessing in satellite view" rule, I suggest that when you're guessing in China, make your guess on the map, then switch to satellite view to adjust
When I get tired with competitive stuff, I switch to this map. Great map and great video, as always. And I wonder why you didn't check Brussels in the first place :D
Hey Peter, remember when you did the thing were you would cross US and Europe on streetview, wouldnt it be cool if you did it in France, but then go to every corner of France, cuz they look like a Hexagon
@@GeoPeter they’re similar to large water features. The number and orientation of runways, as well as proximity to the city centre, are ways to quickly determine if a location is a match. They’re large enough to be visible without zooming way in. Sometimes you’ll get lucky and find visible text as well.
I like when you put pictures of the places in, it's really nice to see what the famous places actually are :)
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it! :)

That was unfortunate but at least I figured it out 😄

Oh, interesting! Thanks for the info!
The Gateway Arch of St. Louis will always be in my heart... for having one of the best mission in Command and Conquer Red Alert 2.
@GeoPeter

That must have been a completely different experience :D
I live in the St. Louis area so I was happily surprised to see that round!

Totally agree!

Thanks! Good question! 😂
Haha the joy in your face at 12:02 when you realised it was brussels again
I was very happy 😂
I love these videos! Please keep them coming! ♥️
Thanks! I will! 😊
Great video. I drove past the gateway arch earlier today going across one of those bridges.
Oo, nice! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! :)
That's definitely Shanghai tower, I live in Shanghai.
Thanks! 😊

Thanks for the suggestion! :)
7:13 The are left of the Basilika is the Kremlin by the way. Just if you want to visit it or something.
Hopefully, I can visit it one day :)
It's funny considering that I didn't knew much of these famous places but I recognise countries by their trees.....
All the trees look the same to me 😂
@@GeoPeter will I studied medical herbs and trees so.......
No one could afford the island if it was of the size needed to reflect a solid Australia
Good point 😂
Damn it, screwed out of a perfect score on the second game because of that Shanghai misalignment.... Oh well, fun either way
Damn, I feel your pain :D
You should try using the airports more for help in these satellite maps.
Thanks for the suggestion! Could you please explain how would airports help w/ determining the city or country? :)

I don't mind you using the satellite view honestly, it's still very challenging even with it.
Thanks for the feedback! :)
In China the maps are tilted, so you would have gotten a perfect score
Came from the stream! 😉
Thanks! 😊

Just a sigh, not swearing. Sounds like you are imagining some swear words yourself :)
