Honestly, what they should have done for buffing or adding abilities to Allosaurus (and I’ve kinda stated this in a lot of places, lol): - give it 2 arm slots for either 2 claw attacks, such as adding that flurry claw attack Suchomimus now has. Or give it a buff for its claw attacks for either damage or bleed. - a 2nd head slot, like you stated, would be good for equipping both hatchet and regular bite attacks at once. - remove the stamina cost for Allo’s claw attacks. - possibly give Allo a charge/ambush dash ability to close the gap on certain targets. - voice abilities could either be for a group buff or give individual buffs for damage reduction or stamina regen buffs. - for a sense ability, he could get lone hunter or ambusher buff sense. Those I can see working really well in Allo’s favor
I think they should make the Allosaurus a endurance predator you can already do this to some extent but it should be a key advantage stronger bleed, 2 head slots would be nice irl Allo was the Apex of its time battling and hunting the Stegosaurus, and with the rather large amount fossils with healed wounds i think its health regen and recovery from bone breaks should be faster
I agree. To begin with isn't it generally hypothesized that endurance WAS exactly how allosaurus hunted? I mean obviously they'd utilize ambushing, but if I'm not mistaken it's often believed they'd target pretty large prey and so they were able to do a death by a thousand cuts style of killing. AKA endurance. Many even believe it'd hunt some sauropods, which isn't something you can say for most animals. An animal with no endurance or agility wouldn't be able to do this.
We also have so many examples of heavily injured allosaurus bones that healed which means they survived some heavy trauma. Wouldn't it be interesting to give allos a very slow healing factor ability? We even have an example of one that has a broken jaw which means he survived. I believe it was being compared to a lion getting kicked in the jaw by a zebra and lived essentially
The allosaurus is currently food for late and deino, it needs more speed, like +50 or more turning radius since many dinos steal its back. It could put skill in ways like Lone Survivor and some others for groups, just like some called the remove stamina consumption from the claws
Im still mad my internet decided to fail lmao Also for December my Mic will probably be better since I am Buying a PS5 so I will use disc in my PS5 using my proper headset and Mic
Allo is kinda okay in the moment. i usually play him with the defense variant and the hide that gives him extra 15+ armor, this gives the allo a good amout of tankiness for a mid tier dino. But i also agree with your point that the Allo really needs a group call. #MakeAlloGreatAgain
Even without balanced tail, you can bite raptors of your side if you run in circles. I managed to hold my ground against 3 raptors, killing 2 of them before 2 sarcos came and killed me.
I see a lot of people giving their ideas for how to fix allo so ig I'll do the same, I think improving allo would be super simple; 1. I would decrease the turn rate buff on traction to 15% but remove the stamina regen nerf 2. I'd increase allos sprinting stamina by 30-50% 3. Give allo a second arm slot and a grapple attack to hold down smaller faster dinos and 4. Give him some type of sense and call that helps him while in small packs with other large carns (other allo or dasps)
Also the pack theory for Allo is only speculation and hasn’t been confirmed, especially due to individuals like Big Al being well known for travelling by itself. Just a thought about maybe not leaning too much into pack buffs.
The only way to know if a creature lived in pack is to find multiple bodies in one area or evidence in one of the prey items that the creature in question hunts has signs of dying from multiple unhealed wounds from multiple specimens. The problem with that is that in a hunt or in a battle no creature is going to throw itself into a battle when its already lost one or two packmembers unless theres more than ten. A pack of that size wouldn't even likely all kill themselves in persuit of prey like that because of the fresh corpses of there pack members. There are few ways of knowing if any dinosaurs lived in packs, all i know is that the chances of no dinosaur to have lived in packs is close to zero. Hunting in a group is a too good of a stradigy and I highly doubt that over the millions of years of ruling the planet that not a single one adapted it for survival. Good day
@@FamilyChannel-yv1xv I do think there were almost definitely dinosaurs that hunted in groups, especially since some birds today do just that. But true pack hunting is considered quite rare. Apparently, for some reason, pack hunting refers specifically to highly coordinated hunts with intelligent roles and strategies, like in wolves. With that in mind, it's definitely possible no dinosaurs ever evolved true pack hunting. It SHOULD be noted, though, that the main reason pack hunting is so rare is that most animals simply don't hunt anything that requires advanced coordination. Most animals hunt SMALL animals. They can generally catch up to these animals incredibly easy and so they don't need to hunt in a pack. And animals of a similar size usually aren't smart enough to coordinate to hunt other small animals. So, the odds of large dinosaurs, which existed for so long, and hunted large prey, evolving true pack hunting, isn't too low either. Basically... it's complicated, lol. They might have evolved it or they might not. In any case there were almost definitely large dinosaurs that hunted in groups, even if not exactly packs, or even if it was just groups of 2. Allosaurus may have been one of them, or not. It isn't known. If any dinosaur would hunt in packs, though, it'd probably be a large theropod that hunts even larger prey- like the allosaurus.
Devs should either buff the bleed on Hatchet Bite, or replace Hatchet Bite with a new head ability that does bleed like Slash dealing little raw damage, but high bleed.
I will have to agree that it does need more work. It sucks that the new bite is not worth it. A voice call for groups is nice but maybe a sense for solo
Please make an is it worth growing video for Hatzegopteryx. The answer is obviously yes but i wanna hear your take on the creature and demonstrations of all of the abilities from a more experienced players perspective
I play allo everyday tbh and while the dino is pretty squishy if you’re in and out with your bites and dont run around while bleeding you can even drop rexes but allo has a MAJOR disadvantage when fighting tall dinos (gigas & ducks mainly) when allo bites it swings its head real low and you will miss even if appears you bit their neck i really hope they patch this i love the versatility of allo
Honestly if they increased his turn speed, sprint acceleration and made his stam drain slower and just removed hatchet bite cause it’s useless and idk gave him a voice ability and a good sense ability he would be okay
My honest opinion Allo needs more work to compete with other mid tiers Head wise needs a bite that is a charge head bite and a secondary slot Front limbs need a secondary slot for the regular bleed and possible charge slash Back limbs maybe a stomp like Albert, Rex and Sucho Plus it would be cool to see it have senses calls and a remodel as well Speed build nice but if a defense lol Evan before the updates I got kinda lucky with my fights 1v1 killed a yuty, pycnon, kentro, gave rex's spinos and carcharadontosaurus a run for there money tho still lost lol
Nah, its a good size dino. What tou described is more akin to a laten, a very small but nimble dino that needs to be in packs to be effective Allosaurus were huge, the bigger side length was 35ft long. And was nearly 2 tons.
The allo seems like the neglected red headed step child lately. It needs some love soon. I like the allo still but it feels ur trying to tow a big rig with a Harley Davidson lately compared to the other dinos
The allo should get a speed buff back to its original speed a damage buff a simmer recovery buff and a tearing bite it's proven that the allosaurus would be able to bite and rip doing high damage and a cooldown of one second it might be two op but it's Op enough for me
Make it a glass cannon. Having nearly as much health as the rex is... kind of ridiculous. A semi-speedy, high stam, and highly damaging bleeder with thin skin would work well, I think. Kinda like a land eurhino. But slower.
Allos are excellent in a group but not as solo. The devs gave so many dinos lone survivor who DONT need it, allo on the other hand could've benefited for it.
I think every creature should have lone survivor. Every creature deserves a chance for solo players. I think they should also have other social senses to pick instead, though.
Look, I'm not even excited for the grapple that he'll eventually get. His stamina is already not that great. Which is fair I guess cuz he is a large dinosaur but so many things that are close to his weight could whoop his tail iguanodon mayhaps even a dasp player. Apparently even the serratosaurus can now harass allos with a moderate level of skill. A lot of these updates just feel like prepared to be disappointed before the update comes out for the allo.
HEY! >:( ALLOSAURUS IS NOT WEAK! When people were not alive allosaurus was still alive and it was a powerful carnivore and it hunted stegosaurus. Yeah it sounds crazy cause stegosaurus are strong and it also hunted camptosaurus and even tho it was a large predator it had less bite force then a modern lion but to make it up for it’s weak bite it used it’s long strong neck muscles and strong head and swinged it at it’s prey like a hatchet.🦖
I also agree allo is not worth growing😅😅 I main sucho, and the new sucho claw is good but I still prefer the other claw attack since it does bleed as well and decent dmg, and I literally fight 1v3 allo almost all the time on realism servers and I win the fights 90% of the time even coming out of the water. Allo really really deserve maybe the speed buff again and he should be totally good again. And I also destroy allo's with the badger! (Cerato)
Allos placement is even lowered by the introduction of modded dinos. The Maip is straight up better n more utility. 2 utahs could easily just wreck housr on allo. IK from experience as Allo is my fave dino but not in this game hes just too middling even as a generalist. 2 (if you forego the tail attack for turn speed ehich is nessessary against some match ups) or 3 buttons is not it chief. I mostly play on Semi Realistic Isla Nycta Server so even with server rules Allos are lacking.
Depend on the subspecies you prefer. I main double defence allo on official panjura and it's still better than most of the mid tiers as long as you make your you watch your stamina. Unless you play in a way where your inevitable gonna get tail rided the tail attack isn't necessary when the increased turn speed is nice, almost better than traction because there isn't a downside to it
Nah, pack doesnt fit allosaurus, in its (where most of its remains have been found) area, the morrison formation, it is so far the largest predator by a good margin. In game it just needs to be effectice, low damage, only 1 head slot for 2 bites, mediocre stamina, no sense, no voice. And one of if not the weakest mid tier. Its just bad tbh, i love my allo on offical servers, grew him in just a day and have a ton of hours in him, but he is just slow and squishy.
The fact that sucho is faster than allo and have more land stam as well is kinda stupid and I really think the allo should have the same stam or more and the same speed or more.
Haha I bought the game yesterday and watched your video that said it was the best starting dino so I started with it and today I see this video that says its not worth it, hhmmmm

Absolutely. Allosaurus in packs did hunt Diplodocus.
