- ( www.TFLcar.com )The Porsche Cayenne is perhaps the most underrated off-roader anywhere. Although Jeep with their Wrangler or Grand Cherokee or perhaps Toyota Tacoma or 4runner may seem like a more reasonable choice, we like to be different. We are going to take this $130K Porsche offroad in the sand, snow, mud and rocks to see what a 177 mph 500 HP performance SUV can do off-road!

By far the funniest TFL review yet! It would be cool if Chad randomly showed up and commented on the mods y’all are gonna do.
Steven Hugley this review was so creative, I feel some new life coming to the channel 😂😂
I was getting a Savagegeese vibe off that first part!
Great Vid.... the truth has been revealed!
I ended up skipping forward to find the end of "Chad". Irritating.
@@JamesPhieffer Agreed. This video didn't get started until 4 minutes in.
This Cayenne is just an excuse for Tommy to be who he always was on the inside.
Lmao
😐🤨
I'm pretty sure Roman would never let "Chad" live long enough to get a driver's license.
Naah...should have gone with Thomas ...
Its nice of you to think that some who drives a Cayenne knows how to start a generator.
Lucas LeCompte ... u r right, that combo doesn’t exist in real life.. lol
Whew, that depreciation though. Ouch....
Hoovie will take it when you're done.
This is the kind of videos we want to see!!! I’m tired of Wranglers, f150’s and Rams. These are common cars, this is way more interesting and funny. I will love if you could manage to get a LC 70 series in the US. This could be epic. Keep the good direction 👍🏻
Ps. By the way there’s some time we don’t see anything with the Samurai.
You call a porsche common and an f150 rare? Wow
Luciano Bustos Did I write something wrong? I’m saying f150’s and Jeeps are common and I prefer to see things like the cayenne and Tuareg.
Here in az, the f150 is more common than anything else
@@jook13 wranglers are pretty common here too
im surprised you weren't drinking a white claw. lol.
Dalton Michaels love me some claws 🦞
I love white claws and I’m not like this 😂
You mistook Chad for his cousin Kyle. Kyle drinks White Claws
I’m sure your dad and all the old guys at TFL are scratching their heads thinking “what is he talking about??” 😂. I love that you’re bringing some youth to the channel.
Tommy hit the nail on the head. This is most definitely a very "Chad" car.
How Tommy‘s language has changed while he was Chad - he nailed it. So cool!!
TFL car: buys 1st gen Touareg
Also TLF car: WE NEED MOARRRR
Mo powa bebeh
We have put over 15k miles on our 2013 Cayenne S and haven't had to do a thing other than basic maintenance so far almost at 90k miles now
Chad, lol. TFL moving up to the next level! Love all these project cars! Great job as always!
This was glorious. I am here for all things bro-tommy.
Man, what a fantasticly entertaining review. Y'all are on top of your game!
Can’t wait for the first gen Q7 to join the family.
SUPER FUNNY! Love your channel, and thanks for the great content.
TFL misses no opportunity to record the exhaust note, including the generator at 3:00!
Nice video dude 👍🏽😎👍🏽
So, the real Tommy has come out.
So it’s basically a VW Touareg.
But faster.
Ryan rkj and less reliable
@@loganholmberg2295 LOL they do the Fords, GM's and Dodges too....
They’re all over the place with what they buy, if you don’t like this then wait a few months and they’ll replace it with something else.
logan holmberg while I enjoy the Ford, GM , Dodge videos, it’s nice to see something different that you won’t see anywhere else. Ive seen one “overland” Porsche Cayenne before and a million Jeeps.
I have one of the Caynne Transsyberia, lucky me :D 👍
I am in love, your content keeps getting more and more perfect!!! You had the perfect fleet before this, but now with the Cayenne it is even perfect-er ! Can’t wait for the videos to come !
You guys just need to start TFL Overland.
About fell out of my chair laughing with the money slot segment. Awesome!
Jeezus! This is going to be awesome. Finally you got a Porsche to do up! I think it’s got real potential. For winter, I hope you guys go snow wheeling with this and the other rigs you got. Like the tracks you shot the “Ranger rescue” vid. Here in Sweden we say if there’sa lot of rowan-berrys on the trees you get a lot of snow. Just skip the roof top tent and other unnecessary shenanigans. Do a winter battle of the euro-rigs you got and of course the LC TFL pro.
LOVED this video! Really excited for this project.
Hey Tommy. This is the French guy that just ran into you in an Italian restaurant in Boulder. It was so nice to meet you. Like I said: since I moved to Denver 5 weeks ago, every time I watch your videos I kept thinking I could ran into you one day. What are the chances??
Btw. This video is hilarious!
The absolute best of all your vids yet and also thanks for choosing that car cause a used Cayyene is in my bucket list and I really wanna kno how much it gonna cost me to run one. Please also touch reliability and running costs cheers 🍻
Great video! Lol! Keep up the great work Chad:) can't wait for the trans Rockies series
What a great idea and great video!
Nice new car Tommy...can't wait to see more of this car..should be interesting..thanks again.
And somehow Chad still has more credibility than the carwow crew.
Can't wait to see what`s coming. Cool Stuff! Great Video today!
Hey you need to fire Chad for littering. I'm use to be a tree hugger from Oregon but now I drive a jeep lol
Looking forward to long term reliability of that baby! Always wanted one.
Can't wait. Really looking forward to these upcoming videos on this black monster
This will be a great series to watch. Great thinking!
I own a 1st gen 2008 V6.... but 6 speed manual. I've been planning a "TransSaskatchewan" conversion for some time now. This thing is totally transformed by the manual, making it way more fun than a 4800lb beast should be. All the goodies are here to make this an amazing off roader. Can't wait to see your version.
My 05 Cayenne Turbo came from Beverly Hills actually. No clue who originally owned it but it lived in BH for its first 5 years. Mine was only $4400 though
Awesome epi .....I bet these turbos will be COOKING during the slow mo off road trips :) ....cant wait to see updates ...Cheers TFL
Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see this off road.
Good Video Chaz
I love this video! Hilarious. Great job!
I'm glad you mentioned this video in your recent one. I've been wondering when you would do this after seeing the VW. Do more please.
Looking forward to seeing this in Moab. Finding decent off road tires in R19 is going to be a challenge
Is it me or the infotainment area looks like an f-150 😂
I thought it before I saw this comment 😅
I thought the same as well 2022 f150 headed our way
I can see it
That’s one sweet looking car, gentlemen. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with it. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching!
I'M SO EXCITED!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I've been waiting for a Transyberia review and now I get a transsyberia custom build! 😆😆😆
Now you have to pit it against the LR RRSsc!
I hope Chad becomes a regular reviewer. A TFL series spoofing reviews as Chad would be outstanding!
That was fun. I was having a bad day, then I watched this video and I'm smiling and happy. Thanks TFL, or should I say thank you Tommy.
Love it! If you are looking to get rid of those rims I would love a chance to buy them.
I have a 2nd gen Touareg TDI and i just curbed the rims this week!!
looking forward to this one!
TFL loves keeping mechanics in business. 😂👍🏻
The cayenne turbo is my dream car and I tell people that cuz it's a race car and also has the capability of some of the best off road suvs there are. I am super excited to see what you guys do with it cuz this is my ideal car scenario!!
Lol that intro was great
Tommy your cracking my ass up!!!! This is hilarious not every review has to be so serious, and y'all brought it on this one
Love it! Please go offroading with the cayenne
Nice one!
Well done Tommy and crew!
Raising the bar TFL! Lets see if this CTT can challenge the ToughT in the dirt!!!
Where do you guys find these cars?? Love all TFL channels!
Very funny review. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and it's like that with the four door Jeeps. Lifted, big pavement princess wheels, the horrible angry grille and enough off road lights for three vehicles.
Lmao I think "Chad" is pretty funny😂😂. And I always wanted you guys to get a Cayenne. They're actually pretty good off road. I wanted to shout Cayenne when you guys were about to get the Land Cruiser but figured I would get assailed in the comments cuz, well it is a Porsche and they're pretty expensive. And I'm really stoked you guys managed to get a turbo at that. Respect✊✊. I thought it might be a puny v6 or something. Guess I underestimated you guys. And I'm glad I did😁😁. Can't wait to see what you guys get up to with it
Would the Turbo S model have the same option for locking rear diff and capabilities?
Must be fun being Roman's son. So glad you touched on maintenance. These things are incredibly thirsty and demand supreme gas. And as you said, maintenance costs are $$$. They're awesome machines but inexpensive on the used market for a reason.
I've never understood cost analysis of how you could could get a Cayenne with all the content for the same price as a 911 with 1/10th the features.
Good ol tfl giving me answers to questions I never thought I would have.
I absoultly love this!
Drag race it with the long term model x.
Will do
@@TFLcar offroad drag race it with a wrangler
@@TFLcar drag race it with the new land Rover
Do UberX in it 👈
We want more of Chad lol. That was hilarious :D
What was even more cool is the Mercedes-Benz GL X164. It wasn't as powerful but could seat 7, had 1.5 inches more ground clearence and a low range. In the hoghest air suspension level it looked ABSURDELY TALL! Oh, and it was also equipped with standart 275/55R19 (31'') tires with relatively small brakes so that even the M/T tires on 16'' rims would fit.
Best review ever! The soda stream bottle LOLOL. Do an off road review with Kyle.
Oh man! Tommy (I mean Chad) I face palmed SO hard! Hilarious and Cringey at the same time :) Great work and nice review!
When you say 10+ inches of ground clearance is it from the axle, skid plate, frame ?
These „starter kit“ cloth suites Tommy very well. He should keep and adopt it to his style.
This is going to be fun
Porsche is gonna laughs their butts off while they read you the price of those old skid plates.
I love you guys... sooo cool.
Good job Tommy
Excited to see this one with some better tires!
Don't those have a pretty bad cardan shaft issue? I saw a used cayenne turbo s for a decent price but didn't wanna fiddle with a used German suv at the end of the day
Don't tell anyone because I don't want them to become even rarer on the market than they are but the real dream is a 957 GTS- 6 speed manual, and then aftermarket rear locker from a Touareg. No other car could match that for both on and off-road fun
I love it!
This is really funny. Good job Chad
The black and orange will look great next to Baja Bob!
Hilarious opening!
I'm looking at used Cayennes now. Other than researching the vin, is there a way to know if it has rear diff lock ?. I see switches which have a light for the rear, but maybe it's not there ?
Eric vinanalytics.com is your new best friend!
No other way though :(
@@TFLnow is it 1Y1? Sounds like you said 1Y1Y in the video. Thx
ROFL .... my kids laughed as hard as me. Loved this vid and idea. More of fun filled videos, plz 🙂
Yep I loved the TransCayenne, has it got some sort of protective wrap on the front could see something on the hood and maybe the fender's,, which is a good idea if so..
So now you have the Tourage, Ugly Golf and now this VAG sponsered maybe.
I would have looked so bougie driving a cayanne up to the lost gulch instead of my Veloster 😂
The 2017 turbo s is very well going offroad, i'm wondering, if this one is doing so good too. May we'll find out in the next video, I would be exited👍
How to destroy good looking Porsche?
Put some orange stickers on it...
maybe I missed it but what year is this Cayenne?
I will add, what a beautiful car and for 22K holy shit you get a lot, I would be scared of the first break down but you guys do things on a different level so kudos man beautiful car.
Chad..Brah, that generator is fire!
What site do you guys use to do your vin analytics? @TFLCAR
vinanalytics.com
Nice video Chad 😂😂😂
Sweet ride if you can afford the upkeep. I'll be curious to see how much it costs to maintain and repair over a two year period, and I'm guessing that it'll be close to that purchase price of twenty-two grand, especially if it sees any serious off-road time.
Way to go, Chad.
Would be interesting to see the Touareg tag along as a support vehicle.
I've poked around just to get a feel for how many of the 2013-16 Cayenne diesels (yeah, they sold those... the 3.0 V6 TDI) have air ride... probably a lot fewer than turbos with rear locker. I think I spotted one... and it was a used car dealer on RUclips (in Colorado, coincidentally). Car was likely sold long ago.
None of the 2011 and newer Touaregs got air suspension in the U.S.. So I figured I'd look around and see what second gen Cayenne diesels did... They exist. But are stupid rare.
The turbo looks like a lot of fun... can't wait to see what you guys do with it.
I guess in the meantime I'll just have to do stupid things with my V10 Touareg. ;)
Lol I was looking at picking one of these up to make on off-road rig as well, just haven’t found a good one
In my childhood I used to like reading car magazins. Once I read the article about the journey around Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. I remember there were a U-shaped river, some place with a cool name "Dead Horse Point" and the only place in the entire USA that is connected to not 3 but 4 different states...
How far are those places from where you shoot the videos?
