This drama was a emotional roller coaster especially the last two episodes. I finally watched it after all this time and I'm so upset! The ending just UGH! She was happy because she still got another chance with TaeYong. But the Prince had to live the rest of his life lonely!

I started re-watching this drama from the beginning of this week and finished watching last night, and did I cried like a baby on the last few episodes :') They deserved sooo much better, my heart still aches for them. That last phrase killed me. I still wish that somehow he returned to her in the end, because I can't live with the fact the prince had to live the rest of his life alone. Edit: You know what I was so unsatisfied with that ending that I had to think about it over and over again so that it could work as a happy ending canonically. So here's my theory, it's confirmed that Tae Yong does not remember anything from his past life, but in the afterlife he still fell for Park Ha, because meeting and falling in love with Park Ha was a part of Lee Gak's life. This kinda concludes that their love was so strong, that it lasted for 300 years. They may not remember anything from their past life ('they', because Park Ha doesn't remember anything from her past life as Boo Young either) but they were given another chance to love each other in another time. Kinda like how Park Ha and Se Na remained sisters, and in the present time they got together. That's the only way I can ever think it's a good ending, canonically :') The message is that, "I may not remember you anymore, but I'll always love you no matter what. Even if I've forgotten about you, I'll love you again like before. "
I interpret it in one more way to help me feel better. Since Lee Gak used to say in ep 7 that "if you have mere memories, you can be together forever".So Park Ha and Lee Gak would be in each other heart forever.
I love the scene(s) when they realize who the lady is that has been helping them all this time, with all those fortuitous moments of putting some handkerchief or clothes line in front of Park Ha. Boo Young or something like that.
I neeeeever seen a drama that made me cry so hard . From beginning to end i cried like a baby. Sobbing hot waterfall tears . It was a beautiful story but it was so tragic and painful . I can’t explain it. RTP is one of the first dramas i watched years ago and it’s the one i will never forget but will never watch for a second time. It was so bittersweet that i can’t watch it again. It’s beautiful but it hurts too much to watch. Shit i feel like crying just thinking about it. I recommend anyone to watch this. It’s great for people who love beautiful tragedies

I think so. I prefer Kdrama during2005-2015. Recent romantic kdrama have too many fillers. They sell hard on kiss scences that not built up well.
