She sure does I actually sing just like her and have the same range and can even rap too and that's the reason I have always told everyone I'm not a singer and never sung in my own tracks. I can just imagine the backlash and accusations that I'm "trying to sound like Shakira or trying to steal her voice/fans/attention etc" no thanks. What's funny is we were driving home one night and my husband asked me to just do it once so I sand dare lalala and he was creeped out he said omg my Fucking god you sound exactly like her 😂. Yeah I have that sound like I'm a goat being strangled I never developed my voice buy I do have that vibrato naturally.
In my opinion she's a light lyrics soprano, her talking voice is light and girly, and her uppernbelts sound extremely light and bright, most people will be inclined by the mezzo trend as she forces her larynx down in her middle and lower reguster to achieve the sound we all know her for, but she actually has a light soprano voice.
+Chloe Lynn what tessitura in lower register?? Her lows are virtually non existent below G3, and her lower register is far from being her strong and warm like a mezzo, or androgynous and man-like like a contralto. Her voice only beings to get real color and body once she's past her first passagio (Eb4). She's a soprano with no doubt, she just likes to lower her larynx in her lower and middle registers to have a thicker tone than what she would normally have as supposed if she was using an stable larynx position.
Regis Rodriguez it’s from a live version of Back in Black, right before the guitar break. Idk where the original video is, but just RUclips a non-dvd live version of that song(fan recording) and you’ll find the bit toward the end, she yells at the guitar player.
I have a really good theory for where G#5 may come from. I think it’s from one of the performances of Back In Black from Tour of the Mongoose… I can’t find one where she hits the note, but if you go to this particular performance (ruclips.net/video/3uclfp962yA/видео.html ) at 4:08, you’ll realise that that’s where G#5 would have been or was supposed to be. Obviously, it’s a high note that’s difficult to hit, hence it’s so rare and difficult to find. It doesn’t come from one of the ‘Ready for the Good Times’ performances.
bowiebr Thanks man but I can't seem to find it?... I already watched all live videos from this songs I could and this note never shows up.. If you could provide me with a link to the video/note it would be amazing.
the first one is "ready for the good times" hundred percent sure(the last moments of the song before the guitar solo) btw that songs ending is killing me!
I don't think the D-E is "real". She often put her hand on her mouth and come near the microphone...It's like she is trying to sound lower than she can.
Joatan, acho bem q ouvi um C#3 dela, ouvi num outro vídeo, conferi e acho q é isso msm, é na música Gitana, quando ela canta: "Ya sé como caer", ouve lá!
Eternal Shadow I just searched Shakira G#5 here on RUclips. I'm still skeptical it actually is. I don't know much about reading music but as it is a mixed note I just keep skeptical.
You're incorrect: the audio of the B5 note is from the Viña Del Mar concert in '95 or '96. The note D6 is from the song "Vuelve" during her Pies Descalzos Tour.
esa voz es casi IMPOSIBLE de encontrar la unica cantante que hasta ahora la ha tenido era una checa llamada schuman-heink... shakira es una contralto a contralto dramatica

She has the rarest vocals amazing
