I noticed that the startup sound for the Charge 1 and 2 sounds exactly like the startup sound for my Parents' Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2 speaker. Probably due to the fact that Harman Kardon and Jbl are both owned by Harman.

Only OGs know that the JBL Charge 2 was the first speaker to introduce those passive radiator design. And had that impressive bass. Ahh the old memorys of my Highschool and middle school.

Charge 3 was on top IMO, still use one to this day. Still going strong one Amazon battery replacement later. Also found another one recently, brand new, still sealed in its original box, at a pawn shop. Of course I had to buy it. Personally, the stereo sound beats everything else, especially when the single speaker isn't even in the middle, c'mon! (targeting the 4 & 5) I not gonna pay $200 for a speaker just to only hear sound out of one side! Plus it still has decent bass quality.

From Charge 2 you can see they are actually a good family. Charge 1 sound already like Flip 3.

I am using it now for my desktop PC as well. changed battery in 2019 and still working. But thinking about buying Charge 5 but it lacks line in which is needed if i am watching videos because in BT mode the voice and lips are out of sync and its a bit weird so maybe i will consider Xtreme 3 (new but not from shop) because of the additional line in port.

For some reason I find the jbl charge 2 has a better and deeper bass then the charge 5 I am a little disappointed with the charge 5 when it comes to the depth of the bass . The clarity is very good but the bass not so good I owen both

Why my version of JBL charge 4 is not in internet? Omfg,,.. searching and searching and nothing... Its original. But butoms panel is black, the whole speaker is black except logo, and and the buttons are with soft rubber relief, they include a phone on one side and an M on the other side .... and they are not backlit, it only has a white led on the back, I bought it IN BRAZIL
