I agree with you on the lack of real instructions for still life drawing. This is a demonstration of drawing skills, not a tutorial on how to actually do it successfully.
Still life is a millions times easier than human figure mate. It almost like a matter of "just do it". I mean start with easier shapes create a comfort zone around that, and break that comfort zone (boom next step), increasing the challenges more and more, breaking the comforts you create along the way. Building comfort -> Destroying comfort -> Building comfort -> Destroying it. This is how you improve at anything, basically.

what material do you use there? Α simple tissue or what?
I think its a chamois, a material used for blending pastels n charcoal

Una consulta yo cuando hago ese tipo de dibujo estoy por el final y no se porque pero me pasa que se me hace una línea de puntitos con el grafito pero se hace solo... y queda muy mal..
