I have only discovered this band. If you had told me in time, I would have left my plow and horse in the middle of the field, I would have brushed my trousers and boots, I would have buttoned up my shirt, I would have combed my hair and eyebrows, I would have immediately returned back to my old shack high up in the hills, I would have taking most of my saving and put the money into my back pockets, I would have saddled up the old gray mare nd I would have ridden off to Shetland Folk Festival 2010 to see this stunningly amazing band that I have never heard of before. I would;have had the time of my life, my old horse would have also enjoyed this long trot on many days and nights on out journey to The Shetland festival , Let me know when this band are next playing so I can get ready in time then go and see them play live so I can dance until the soles of my socks ware away
Hi Gary and Elbownian. We could've left it at the harp I guess. We just decided we didn't want to. The harp player, a musician with a wealth of experience and musical knowledge gathered over a number of decades, was in on that decision as well. And as regards wrecking the tune, this was about eight years ago. I've heard the tune many times since then and it's still doing fine. I'll always take criticism on board if it's constructive. However,55 likes versus 2 dislikes(the dislikes presumably put there by your two good selves for reasons best known to yourselves), plus the evident approval of a festival audience seems to say that we took the right decisions this time around. And I'd have to say that looking back on this,in terms of both myself and my bandmates, I wouldn't change a note of it. Best wishes.
@@seamieodowd I loved every bit of it, you guys let yourselves loose in the tune. In a live setting that's what I love to hear, and worth the ticket fee.. 👍

As a lifelong harmonica player and lover of live acoustic music, my hat’s off to this trio. Thanks!
I could listen to this all day!
Frickin awesome stuff

People who can play music! Always amazed!
Just wonderful!
Incredible!
Great job!!!
Rick Epic on harmonica
neat harmonica
Nice playing, nice "vamping"
This is a good way to wreck a lovely tune
Thought it started out well, but it did kind of fall apart after the first couple of minutes. Should have left it at just the harp.
