AHHHH LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I'm so curious to hear all your theories! also I personally really like that the quest was shorter and more loaded with lore (it definitely is because Paimon doesn't repeat the same things but simplified for 2 hours) either way, big W quest
Eide sounded crazy. The whole time I was like this dude about to kidnap us and we'll never see Paimon again. VA was amazing! And I felt extremely sad for them all. Poor Caribert.
yeah eide va kept laughing the whole time and it sounded really realistic and felt like the character was going insane so they did a great job on the voice acting
I just realized, maybe the reason why the medicine didn't work initially was because at that time, Nahida wouldn't be able to respond to Eide's prayers because she was locked up.
Honestly, Eide needed to be at a 6, maybe 8 tops, but he was going 10 all the time. The Voice acting itself was good, but the director really let him go too crazy with it.
@@Naokarma Exactly, he actually sounds a little bit crazy in certain part. One of the great voice acting I've heard. The last time I was like this was when Ei and her sister was conversing
@@criccode2993 It would be nice tho if they made him a little more unique, i get that he has a whole different outfit and eyes compared to an npc but with that VA and being the founder of the abyss order they should've given him a more unique look.
it's insane to me that the reason why the medicine didn't work the first time was possibly because nahida was still trapped in the sanctuary of surasthana at that point of time and thus couldn't lend her power. if the sages hadn't captured her, it's entirely possible that the abyss wouldn't have been founded by alberich, or founded at all. could you imagine how different things could've been if that was the case?
the part where mc turned to their twin made my heart drop. i usually get spoiled for a whole archon quest before i even get to do it, and i did this quest without knowing anything. so overall the shock i got was way out of expectation, this quest is amazing.
I'm with you. I literally didn't visit any social media and streaming platform right after the server was up. I've learned my lesson during the Sumeru archon quest.
dodging all news about it is the most fun for sure, that's why I stopped watching announcement livestreams as well- it adds to the immersion and surprise!!
1:34:23, not prince of the abyss but PRINCE OF KHAENRIAH, before the cataclysm Aether is already the prince of khaenriah, thats why clothar "knew" aether, thats also why when we say we didnt knew him Clothar said "With your status?(prince of khaenriah) you can hardly be expected to know all of us"
I just realized that at 28:28, when we first met Eide and said that he saw our traveling companion, he meant Dainsleif not paimon because the ley line shows other twin POV.
Nahida told us that she couldn't find anymore information about our sibling because someone is deliberately " hiding " their fate ( possibly the one responsible for that is the Sinner )
Kaeya’s storyline has definitely just become so much more fascinating and complex to me after this quest. Questions like if he’s half Sumeru, half Khaenri’ahn like so many people speculate, why isn’t he cursed? Is he a pure-blooded Khaenri’ahn then? How much does he actually know? In his voicelines he mentions ‘the sinners are all that’s left’ when talking about Khaenri’ah, and the voice from the Crystal is called the ‘great sinner.’ He deflected Paimon’s question on whether he’s part of the Abyss order. Overall I’m very excited to see where Kaeya goes in the future. A lot of people (including me initially) were upset by Kaeya’s small appearance in the quest, but I feel like the quest was just a foundation to establish the Alberich clan and what their about. Hopefully Kaey has more presence in archon quests in the future.
i thought the same thing! why did Kaeya get off curseless? the only answer i can imagine is this: Kaeya's Bio-dad was focused on Caribert like a only-son, Maybe Kaeya was born *after* the curses were granted? and he didn't inherit the immortality curse? or what if he did? and he is just too young to realize? how is a 20-30 year old ment to know they're immortal yet?
@@whatadistinguishedgentlecat maybe it's because I missed some dialogue. But isn't half blooded khaenri'ahn turned into hillichrl like Caribert? I was kinda incensed that I got stuck using Diluc for the whole quest to fully digest what Eide said.
26:20 I only realized after watching this again, that this scene is actually Dain talking to our brother, he even says “sibling” to keep it vague! It makes it actually a lot sadder the fact that our brother was crying while thinking of us 😢
Oh wait that's possible !! Omg I love that 😭 I play in French and chose Lumine, and sadly I think the subtitles said "Tu as rêvé de ton frère ?", meaning "You dreamt of your brother ?"... I wish it was changed cause I feel you're right and that's SO CUTE AND SAD
@@kiyomi_kamimoto I dont think the word sibling exists in French. There’s only brother (frère) and sister (sœur), no gender neutral term, so that’s probably why
@@adepressedcupcake I know, I'm French haha But I guess they could have said "ta famille", meaning "your family". Even if it's not exactly sibling, it still could have worked :")
@@kiyomi_kamimoto I’m also French lol. I guessed that you were as well, considering the fact you play genshin in French, but I still wanted to clarify in case anyone who doesn’t speak French reads through these replies
I was initially very uncomfortable with Eide's voice at first but I later realised how fitting it was as the story progressed, the actor did a good job in bringing out this character's instability.
Eide's english dub was really something else, got a lot of emotions and chills with the VA's interpretation... This person needs to dub a playable character asap
Honestly the instant I remembered the mirror was still in the room when "Eide" was speaking to Caribert, I could physically feel my hair stand on end 😰
It's so sooo interesting watching the quest at the beginning again like the little things I didn't realize until the twist: (SPOILERS FOR THE QUEST) ... - The Dain we saw when we first woke up was NOT the current Dain, it was the Sibling's Dain (you hear him refer to the other sibling specifically from the start but in that one instance, he was vague) - Confronting Eide the first time and he vaguely says 'the one who stood by you' and not something specific like 'little flying fairy' which is what NPCs normally describe Paimon as. So he was talking about Dain, your sibling's current companion at that time - I did read that someone said, the reason Nahida couldn't quite exactly bless the water is that at that time, she was currently still trapped inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana. While I did like this, I do think it's more of the fact that she's still connected to Celestia so she couldn't really do anything about that curse - The entrance to that temple was also part of the Chasm, didn't realize that until I took a closer look on the map, so some of the old relics in the Chasm we see now maybe would have been part of that temple, just scattered thanks to the portals later on? - So now that it's confirmed that only pureblooded Khaenri'ahns get the curse of immortality and outsiders turn to monsters... does that mean kaeya is a fullblooded khaenri'ahn and is cursed with the same immortality? Or is the curse non-inheritable and Kaeya's just an off-shoot of a different Alberich branch? - Dain really wanted that drink, huh? Anyway thats it, thanks for the vid! It's nice to find a calming voice narrating my thoughts exactly on point hehe
Well kaeya was a child when he was taken in by diluc's family. So he is aging normally. And those with the curse don't really age so i don't think kaeya is cursed. But i do have a theory. I think that the greater evil is the king of the abyss 'Sinner' and was initially transferred from the stone to caribert through the medicine. That's what became the loom of fate but i think that the 'sinner' currently resided in kaeya somehow. Maybe he is somehow related to caribert or maybe in some other way and he will have to make a decision to whose side he is on.
i really and genuinely hope that eide's VA gets anither role in the story cause WOW that voice acting was amazing. I really felt the emotions come through and I just kinda want him to play a playable character
man this event was so cool, i mean learning more about our twin’s life is always interesting but this especially was so good and eide/chlothar’s va was so good too i seriously felt so immersed
The story was realy intersting. What I find curious is the timeline. Initialy I thought that the Abyss order was formed immediately after the Cataclism but now it is clear that there was a 100-200 year gap between the events. And out Abyss sibling traveled Tevat after the Cataclism too (how did she escape the Sustainer so quickly while we slept for 500 years? There is clearly smth strange about that. Smth must have been done to out sibling. Nahida did say that after the Cataclims records about her sudenly became foggy) It is interesting how reletivly young Abyss Order is. Also, that Cryo Herald was not part of the Abyss Order since the order was not even formed yet => those creatures are not all people of Khaenri'ah. He felt a bit different from the Heralds we usualy see. His words about fate were strange too And the voice. My first thought was that "he" might be "the second who came"
isn't it a little strange how the first time paimon decides to take first watch and tells us to go to sleep, we get transported 500 years back in the future. in a dream at least.
@raph he literally just keeps picked leyline boughs and branches though. The only translation of his title that implies something more is in Korean, but that just says he's Irminsul's guardian, which doesn't even mean he is able to manipulate it. While he absolutely seems to have some kind of a special connection to Irminsul, there is nothing that says he's able to tamper with it. It's possible, but I so highly doubt it.
If anyone's curious where Khaenri'ah would be in Sumeru. It's in Dahri, according to the Afratu's Dilemma Quest. Makes sense there would be a Ruin Golem in the Valley of Dahri as it is their turf.
I actually felt a bit of guilt when no one answered Eide's prayers. When it was shown that this was 500 years ago, I realized that Eide was praying to a currently dead god.
If you follow the lore theories and such, it only really raised 1 or 2, imo. There's a massive amount of stuff you can figure out if you know where to look.
I swear everytime a new Archon quest comes out, we will collectively feel bad for the Hilichurls and proceed to ignore them when we play until eventually it all goes back to usual 🤣
I have a little bit of a silly theory about this quest but could Kaeya be Caribert? It sounds very silly and I don’t quite believe it myself but there are somethings that could be evidence 1. At the start of the quest, Kaeya says Dainsleif has the eyes of a pure blood khanri’ahn which implies that he (Kaeya) isn’t. We know that Caribert’s mother was from Mondstadt, (which could also explain why he was brought to Mondstadt of all places) so he wouldn’t be pure khanri’ahn either 2. At the end when they dig up the skeletons, they say that the male one is assumed to be Chlothar and the female is implied to be Cariberts mother, there is no mention of Cariberts death at all. 3. Caribert sounded really young when he got his voice back, which would line up with Kaeya’s story of being really young when brought to Mondstadt. 4. Caribert got his mind back and Chlothar is implied to break his immortality curse somehow, so getting Caribert into human form where he started aging normally isn’t all that far fetched and could have something to do with the ‘sinner’ we met. 5. Kaeya has no other reason to appear in this quest. He just shows up, tells us he’s been to Sumeru, learns he’s a descendant of the abyss order founder and vanishes. You could cut him out and the quest would be the same. So why is he here? Maybe to hint at his true identity? In the end, this is still just a silly theory and I’d be as shocked as anyone were it true
I honestly think one of Kaeya's parents are actually from Sumeru? Explains why he has a darker complexion (one that I doubt you'd able to get just by tanning), and his name, as I recall it being linked back to Hinduism.
@@pozzsicle but eide referred caribert as his “illegitimate son” so there’s a possibility kaeya is technically not his biological son (illegitimate means not authorized by the law; not in accordance with accepted standards or rules.)
' which implies that he (Kaeya) isn’t.' It doesn't imply anything. It's just the first time we focus on Kaenriah eyes. There is also first time team make s a focus on Kaeya's own eyes. Most people who plays never read Keaya story or look at his model closely, and in manga and some artworks his eyes have the same romb-star as Dain's and others.
There are a few things which make this highly unlikely. Firstly Kaeya being Caribert would make Chlothar Kaeyas dad which is doesnt really work since weve heard Kaeyas dads voice and he sounds nothing like Chlothar. Second Kaeya was indeed very young when he was brought to Mondstadt.. its just that these memories take place a few centuries before he was brought to Mondstadt. If Kaeya was Caribrt and he was somehow cured and turned human he shouldve immediately started to age normally and he wouldve died long ago. It would make no sense for him to turn human again and only start aging normally after being dropped off in Mondstadt centuries later no? Third while Kaeyas appearance was short and seemed kinda pointless, his purpose was to make the entire Chlothar reveal more dramatic. If his appearance was hinting at something its definitely his strange and potentially quite deep connection to the Abyss order (and i dont mean him being a descendant of the founder).
Island XD talked about this and brought some very interesting points, mainly that the purple crystal contains the consciousnesses of King Irmin of Khaenri'ah. The Alberichs took over for him after he became "unfit to rule". Possibly, he had contact with the Forbidden Knowledge, aka the Abyss, and became its gospel. It would track because the Abyss heralds and lectors drop dark statuettes, which are a representation of King Irmin. The description of that statuette says that a sense of peace emanates from it, and Eide said that his heart was instantly at peace. Also, the voice referred to itself as a sinner, which is what the people of Khaenri'ah were named. I still wanna know what happened to Caribert and who Kaeya is in relation to Chlothar and Caribert.
The second Dain started talking after the Traveler woke up I suspected it was a memory, or something like that. His emotions were...different. Also the statue of the seven is in a ruined state, big clue. This quest reveals that the divine placed curse of immortality can be broken, thus it is not absolute. But whether Chlothar told anyone about it is up in the air. Does it relate to what we saw in the Chasm? Is that why there was a whole curing plot there? And then there is the Loom of Fate. Honestly got no clue, but it looks like they want to rewrite the ending given to them by Celestia with Abyssal power. Seeing their levels of success I'd say it's possible, but not guaranteed. But seriously, we're just chilling with Kaeya and Dain just drops a lore bomb in the sub-minute screentime he just got, I'm honestly very impressed at that.
The invisible eide bug did happen to me too lol. Thought it was just connection problems since it replayed the exact same scene immediately after. Also since you're using eng dub, it's nice to hear what all the praises for eide's va was for. He did a great job! Thanks for the archive!
I am so glad I have a huge stockpile of hilichurl items in my inventory.... After the chasm quest AND this one? The hilichurls are just innocent people who chose the wrong nation.
Maybe you’ve said this already, but I feel like we’re in a samsara, and our sibling doesn’t want us to end up in his/her situation, and wants us to break the samsara before something happens. (Samsara as in: our sibling went through all of the stuff we’ve gone through, but we’re behind) and if they told us, it would, “blow our minds”. Maybe this is an outdated theory but, I feel like Nahida also knows something we still don’t about all this, like how the sky is fake. (I probably made no sense at all but I’m still going with it)
1:34:57 okay this is super duper important! I just realised this as you said too. If you remember Nahida's final story quest where she answers all the questions you would remember she says "someone is deliberately tampering with the information regarding your brother" This confirms that irminsul was tampered with on purpose. And that there is some other individual who has access to those memories, ofc someone from abyss or among the fatui
I just got it watching this video that when Eide talks about our companion going into the forest at the beggining of the quest, it's not Paimon but Dain from the memories. Also, Dain waking the traveler up is probably just a memory. I always think of that watching these videos
I always find it funny whenever I watch stuff from you in quests that mention the Abyss sibling because I'm so used to Lumine being the Abyss sibling because I play Aether and because Hoyo uses him as their MC for almost everything too lol.
having finished the quest and see it again really make me feel it all make sense. - first is the statue of the seven, if you give oculus to statue then it will get fixed up. But when i play the quest i noticed that the statue got some hole in it, i find it odd but now i know that because we are in the past so the statue haven't been fixed yet. - when we ask eide about our companion, he never said about any feature of paimon, so he must have meant dain, so that mean the dain we saw when we just woke up in the memory of our sibling is dain in the past as well. That explain why dain didn’t ask about paimon at that time
i think the seven are just pawns at this point. most of them either don't know anything (ei), are bound not to say anything (zhongli, venti?) or weren't even around during kheanri'ah cataclysm (nahida, even rukkha because she was protecting irminsul at that time). celestia conveniently went silent exactly 500 years ago, so i'd guess everything concerning khaenri'ah was their work, considering the tsaritsa is actively rebelling against them and so many archons now just don't care for the gnosis. the seven being the main perpetrators seems to be a general public misunderstanding since i believe most people in teyvat don't actually know or know very little about celestia. also, venti and zhongli who were both there, unlike ei and nahida, seem just genuinely regretful about the khaenrian cataclysm.
I think it's just fit for this story take a place in sumeru. Since all we experienced there just like either a dream, hallucinations, or we just on a heavy drugs effect
Damn, you missed your one chance of speaking to a Sentient Hilichurl cuz if you went in the house again after Chlothar leaves you can actually talk to Calibert though it's just one line but cool to talk to a sentient hilichurl nonetheless.
Its interesting to note that from the cutscene, our sibling seems to have met "Eide" and traveled with dainslief while having their full power (siblings clothes are glowing white in the glowy parts rather than any of the seven elements) Idk why I've always assumed our sibling had their powers stripped away as well but its either that they woke up in tyvat with their powers, or this takes place late into our siblings journey
I would def recommend Ashikai's videos to understand lore like this better! She makes really good theories, and she also does lore recaps for those who struggle to follow the lore. Mentioning her channel because I wouldn't understand genshin lore as well as I do without her help :] I strongly recommend her videos
yo i did not expect that outro, my mom was in front of me 😭 not having paimon around felt so weird... it was too quiet (especially bc i'm sure paimon would've given clothar an ugly nickname) 😔 also, your "cool place" marker is such a crazy coincidence!

eide bugging to invisibility still gives the same effect as when hes on screen. the models r so unexpressive compared to just how much heart came from his voice actor. hope we hear that va again it was far too good. definitely one of the best performances on the en side. overall too.
knowing there is an entity that can see you through time and space and even a flashback, thats crazy, I dont think ive seen before a character like that. time and space come dime a dozen, but seeing you through a flashback? that pretty meta haha.
I know everyone is praising the VA, but goddamn. The speech he gave at the statue is my favourite moment in all of genshin, it tops the epic cutscenes and all
As for my theory, I do believe that the sinner is Istaroth, the god of time. To be honest the only clues that I have is that I don't know many other deities that weren't mentioned at some point in the story (like god of salt) and I do believe that the lore about Istaroth is hidden in Enka and I still haven't fully explored it yet. Although Dain mentioned that the sinner have seen us despite it being probably a memory of our sibling from couple hundrets of years back and that it doesn't matter to him, almost like time doesn't affect him in the same way. The obvious downside is that Istaroth is a "God" of Time and the crystal person said he's not a got, but a "sinner". I don't have much here, I don't know much about Istaroth either, I just know he's a thing and he's a deity of time. It's still very cool to speculate, things may easily fold out in other way, I'd love to see more lore dumps like that :) Also, poor camembert, he's just a baby :C
I’d like to mention that the Abyss twin was called the Prince/Princess of Khaenri’ah! That means that had a major role in Khaenri’ah and that why they were probably given the role of Prince/Princess of the Abyss. When Clothar said that the Abyss twin had such a high status and didn’t know “all of us”, he was talking about being royalty and not knowing all of their people. The “Secret Identity” Clothar mentioned was being Khaenri’ahn royalty and not a traveller! Don’t know if that makes sense in the way I explained it but I’m pretty sure that’s what it means!
Here are my questions and theories… How was Keaya spared from the curse? How could have been cured if he was cursed? Since most people have no idea hilichurls are actually cursed people. Not to mention Caribert’s mom is from Monstadt and that just so happens to be where Keaya’s dad left him. Caribert is half Khaenri’ahn, and since we also hear from the quest that pure Khaenri’ahns have pale skin, we can assume since Kaeya is also half Khaenri’ahn. Which means he should’ve turned into a hilichurl as well. So how is it that he wasn’t/was cured? Mona mentioned Keaya’s “Fate” will catch up to him. (Double meaning? Loom of Fate?) She also mentions he hides “ugly realities”Caribert’s mask hid the ugly reality of his situation, and his father kept telling him it wasn’t real. Keaya’s dad also, when he abandoned him, stated he was their last hope. Again, Loom of Fate?? But that’s just my thoughts,- but Keaya would have very little to do with both Khaenri’ah and the Loom of Fate is he wasn’t a direct descendant or Caribert himself. And it seems more likely Genshin will make him make a difficult choice between family or friends. If he was so uninvolved, just a indirect relative of the Creator of the Abyss it would seem like such a smack in the face to Keaya fans who have been waiting for him to finally have relevance. Ask yourself, would a 2nd nephew of the creator of the Abyss have the same implications as the SON of the creator of the Abyss? Edit: I realized from someone else the one of Keaya’s voicelines (About Keaya IV) talk about Khaenri’ah, stating “all that is left are the sinners.” Interesting phrasing, sine Caribert was cured from the power of a “great sinner”
Just rewatched the beginning with Keaya… I noticed some other things The connection between both of his vague statements: “I used to think I had inherited some sort of duty from my father” Then “I suppose that is why my father left me in Monstadt after all” He dodged Paimon’s question “You aren’t involved with the Abyss Order in any way, are you?” And then he promptly leaves.
I haven’t watched your videos in sooooo long😭😭😭 now it’s finally spring break and imma binge everything! I’ve been waiting so long to do this. Yeah, I listen to the lore in game but I kinda speed through it😭💀this is so nice to just relax and watch/listen to.
Rednas, Dehya right now can only be used with a lot of hp and ocean hued clam set because she deals dmg and is immortal, in the patch 3.6 a new set will be added to Genshin which is supposed to be her sig set
I didn't realize it til I rewatched it here that it being a memory starts really early, like right before Dain says he's going into the forest, and Eide references 'your traveling companion that was watching over you' is Dain, and when he worships the statue he just says god of wisdom, not Kusanali/Rukkhadevata
This was the best archon quest since Omnipresence Over Mortals. I didn't even skip Paimon's dialogue this time, and that's saying something. There was no filler and the pacing was on point the whole time. Very good stuff from hoyo this time, hopefully there's more like this to come!

Ahahaha glad I saw this comment, otherwise I would’ve missed it!!
Is it possible our Mr Cool was in fact a lil’ nervous after all? 😏
Eide: Periodically giggles in a deviously maniacal way.
Rednas: I trust this guy. :)
1:31:33 the fact that red was more worried about losing lumine then the lore is so funny 💀
Tbh same I didn't want to lose her 💀
literally me with aether 😂 i didn’t want to lose him
Nahida told us that she couldn't find anymore information about our sibling because someone is deliberately " hiding " their fate ( possibly the one responsible for that is the Sinner )
In his voicelines he mentions ‘the sinners are all that’s left’ when talking about Khaenri’ah, and the voice from the Crystal is called the ‘great sinner.’
He deflected Paimon’s question on whether he’s part of the Abyss order.
I think Kaeya was born after the whole thing I think the man in the quest is Kaeya's great grand uncle or something like that
I think it has to have something with the fact that he's not a pure blood khaenri'ahn, only pure blood khaenri'ahns got cursed.
@@whatadistinguishedgentlecat maybe it's because I missed some dialogue. But isn't half blooded khaenri'ahn turned into hillichrl like Caribert? I was kinda incensed that I got stuck using Diluc for the whole quest to fully digest what Eide said.
@@anotheranotheranother2435 I'll look into it, honestly I'm kinda unsure now that you've asked
26:20 I only realized after watching this again, that this scene is actually Dain talking to our brother, he even says “sibling” to keep it vague! It makes it actually a lot sadder the fact that our brother was crying while thinking of us 😢
Oh wait that's possible !! Omg I love that 😭
I play in French and chose Lumine, and sadly I think the subtitles said "Tu as rêvé de ton frère ?", meaning "You dreamt of your brother ?"... I wish it was changed cause I feel you're right and that's SO CUTE AND SAD
@@kiyomi_kamimoto I dont think the word sibling exists in French. There’s only brother (frère) and sister (sœur), no gender neutral term, so that’s probably why
@@adepressedcupcake I know, I'm French haha
But I guess they could have said "ta famille", meaning "your family". Even if it's not exactly sibling, it still could have worked :")
@@kiyomi_kamimoto I’m also French lol. I guessed that you were as well, considering the fact you play genshin in French, but I still wanted to clarify in case anyone who doesn’t speak French reads through these replies
@@adepressedcupcake Ok!
I was initially very uncomfortable with Eide's voice at first but I later realised how fitting it was as the story progressed, the actor did a good job in bringing out this character's instability.
I played the quest in JP dub but holy shit, "Eide" EN dub performance is really sublime
Yep
Cariberts JP VA sounds a lot like zero two
Eide's english dub was really something else, got a lot of emotions and chills with the VA's interpretation... This person needs to dub a playable character asap
Honestly the instant I remembered the mirror was still in the room when "Eide" was speaking to Caribert, I could physically feel my hair stand on end 😰
It's so sooo interesting watching the quest at the beginning again like the little things I didn't realize until the twist: (SPOILERS FOR THE QUEST)
...
- The Dain we saw when we first woke up was NOT the current Dain, it was the Sibling's Dain (you hear him refer to the other sibling specifically from the start but in that one instance, he was vague)
- Confronting Eide the first time and he vaguely says 'the one who stood by you' and not something specific like 'little flying fairy' which is what NPCs normally describe Paimon as. So he was talking about Dain, your sibling's current companion at that time
- I did read that someone said, the reason Nahida couldn't quite exactly bless the water is that at that time, she was currently still trapped inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana. While I did like this, I do think it's more of the fact that she's still connected to Celestia so she couldn't really do anything about that curse
- The entrance to that temple was also part of the Chasm, didn't realize that until I took a closer look on the map, so some of the old relics in the Chasm we see now maybe would have been part of that temple, just scattered thanks to the portals later on?
- So now that it's confirmed that only pureblooded Khaenri'ahns get the curse of immortality and outsiders turn to monsters... does that mean kaeya is a fullblooded khaenri'ahn and is cursed with the same immortality? Or is the curse non-inheritable and Kaeya's just an off-shoot of a different Alberich branch?
- Dain really wanted that drink, huh?
Anyway thats it, thanks for the vid! It's nice to find a calming voice narrating my thoughts exactly on point hehe
Dain really wanted that drink.. who knows if he remembers when the last time was with our sibling
I was SCREAMING when I saw kaeya and Dain together bro
The khaenrian clench
Now I gotta wait for 2024 to see Dain again.
was so hyped to see kaeya only for him to appear like 30 seconds
Actually 2025 😂
man this event was so cool, i mean learning more about our twin’s life is always interesting but this especially was so good and eide/chlothar’s va was so good too i seriously felt so immersed
I almost died laughting when Eide became invisible and you couln’t see him 🤣
I love that you don’t watch the program announcements, because then you’re genuinely surprised when you do the important quests!
it actually is a lot more fun yes!! lots more surprises
His words about fate were strange too
And the voice.
@@pozzsicle are you talking about Paimon or dain?, Bcs that's person ask about Paimon
i like how ur reading ur responses to the characters like ur actually talking to them😭
Knowing that you have a deep connection with Lumine, I was really looking forward to your reaction to THAT scene
Did not disappoint
If anyone's curious where Khaenri'ah would be in Sumeru. It's in Dahri, according to the Afratu's Dilemma Quest. Makes sense there would be a Ruin Golem in the Valley of Dahri as it is their turf.
Dainsleif quests always hit the hardest, the causal lore drops are amazing!!!!
as a violinist, I can confirm that it's scientifically proven that rednasyo videos are more relaxing than a violin piece
I actually felt a bit of guilt when no one answered Eide's prayers. When it was shown that this was 500 years ago, I realized that Eide was praying to a currently dead god.
honestly I’m really hyped for this version
AAAAA i cant wait for ur reaction to this quest, it was insane but it raised SO many questions
If you follow the lore theories and such, it only really raised 1 or 2, imo. There's a massive amount of stuff you can figure out if you know where to look.
okay nerd
I swear everytime a new Archon quest comes out, we will collectively feel bad for the Hilichurls and proceed to ignore them when we play until eventually it all goes back to usual 🤣
Eide’s voice actor did SUCH a good job! Felt like I was seeing an alternate version of the Joker from DC
I have a little bit of a silly theory about this quest but could Kaeya be Caribert? It sounds very silly and I don’t quite believe it myself but there are somethings that could be evidence
1. At the start of the quest, Kaeya says Dainsleif has the eyes of a pure blood khanri’ahn which implies that he (Kaeya) isn’t. We know that Caribert’s mother was from Mondstadt, (which could also explain why he was brought to Mondstadt of all places) so he wouldn’t be pure khanri’ahn either
@@theresidentialrat in this case illigitimate child probably means the woman was some sort of mistress or that caribert was "disowned" by him
' which implies that he (Kaeya) isn’t.' It doesn't imply anything.
I have no theory. Head empty, just overwhelming emotions 😭😭😭. If anything, this quest proves even more that Hilichurls shouldn’t be bullied yo??
I am so glad I have a huge stockpile of hilichurl items in my inventory.... After the chasm quest AND this one? The hilichurls are just innocent people who chose the wrong nation.
I love and feel so bad for all the hilichurls I’ve killed before man 😭😭
But sadly I need their mats 🧍♀️.. oops
If you remember Nahida's final story quest where she answers all the questions you would remember she says "someone is deliberately tampering with the information regarding your brother"
This confirms that irminsul was tampered with on purpose.
That explain why dain didn’t ask about paimon at that time
seeing paimon care so much about the traveler this quest made me dread how much it’s gonna hurt when she inevitably betrays us 😭LMAO
i think the seven are just pawns at this point. most of them either don't know anything (ei), are bound not to say anything (zhongli, venti?) or weren't even around during kheanri'ah cataclysm (nahida, even rukkha because she was protecting irminsul at that time). celestia conveniently went silent exactly 500 years ago, so i'd guess everything concerning khaenri'ah was their work, considering the tsaritsa is actively rebelling against them and so many archons now just don't care for the gnosis.
the seven being the main perpetrators seems to be a general public misunderstanding since i believe most people in teyvat don't actually know or know very little about celestia. also, venti and zhongli who were both there, unlike ei and nahida, seem just genuinely regretful about the khaenrian cataclysm.
definitely makes sense with the whole chess analogy as well, I'd tend to agree with you
OMG YOU ALWAYS POST RIGHT WHEN I NEED IT THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR FOR KEEPING ME FAR FROM BOREDOM 😭😭
i gotchu!!
This quest was very interesting when I first did it, really kinda digs deep into the lore about the founders of the abyss, I love it.
Mentioning her channel because I wouldn't understand genshin lore as well as I do without her help :] I strongly recommend her videos
yo i did not expect that outro, my mom was in front of me 😭
not having paimon around felt so weird... it was too quiet (especially bc i'm sure paimon would've given clothar an ugly nickname) 😔
also, your "cool place" marker is such a crazy coincidence!
I put them as my friends because I'm not gonna lie about my friendship with Nahida.
This story was very dark yet very entertaining.
Somehow I figured out what was happening right from when we first woke up, so I knew what to expect the whole quest... but it was really fun to see your perspective, where you didn't get it right away haha. Thanks for the video!
I don’t have a lot of comfort youtubers but everytime i watch one of ur videos i feel safe and happy idk why but thanks for having a family like vibe 🫶🏾🫶🏾

i live for voice acted lumine
loved to see your reaction as always!
eide bugging to invisibility still gives the same effect as when hes on screen. the models r so unexpressive compared to just how much heart came from his voice actor. hope we hear that va again it was far too good. definitely one of the best performances on the en side. overall too.
knowing there is an entity that can see you through time and space and even a flashback, thats crazy, I dont think ive seen before a character like that. time and space come dime a dozen, but seeing you through a flashback? that pretty meta haha.
It's still very cool to speculate, things may easily fold out in other way, I'd love to see more lore dumps like that :)
Also, poor camembert, he's just a baby :C
thank you Rednas for the upload
I love how he just disappears for a while like nyooom
Notification gang like!
LMAO THE KAEYA BREATHING COMPILATION AT THE END 😭😭😭
Loom of Fate?)
She also mentions he hides “ugly realities”Caribert’s mask hid the ugly reality of his situation, and his father kept telling him it wasn’t real.
Edit: I realized from someone else the one of Keaya’s voicelines (About Keaya IV) talk about Khaenri’ah, stating “all that is left are the sinners.”
Interesting phrasing, sine Caribert was cured from the power of a “great sinner”
Just rewatched the beginning with Keaya… I noticed some other things
The connection between both of his vague statements:
“I used to think I had inherited some sort of duty from my father”
Then
“I suppose that is why my father left me in Monstadt after all”
He dodged Paimon’s question “You aren’t involved with the Abyss Order in any way, are you?”
And then he promptly leaves.
man you made my day better thanks for uploading
I haven’t watched your videos in sooooo long😭😭😭 now it’s finally spring break and imma binge everything! I’ve been waiting so long to do this. Yeah, I listen to the lore in game but I kinda speed through it😭💀this is so nice to just relax and watch/listen to.
Rednas, Dehya right now can only be used with a lot of hp and ocean hued clam set because she deals dmg and is immortal, in the patch 3.6 a new set will be added to Genshin which is supposed to be her sig set
Your love for Lumine makes me so happy🥹
(WE NEED MORE OFFICIAL ART!!)
I still have to play this for myself but I look forward to watching this once I have.
that....was the most epic and chilly cutscene ive seen in the archon quest storylines- man genshin really don't miss with these cutscenes and im all here for it!
In Honkai we have Elysia for Herrscher of Human, & in Genshin we have Dain.
BEEN WAITING FOR YOUR REACTION, THIS QUEST WAS SO HYPE MANNN LMAOO
Eeeee I love this! It's insane how much you were able to guess as you were doing the quest! I was honestly blown away. Also, I'm dying at how Eide turned invisible during the first medicine craft cutscene! I had the same issue during my playthrough and was so confused. 😭😂
Poor Kaeya man, he finally decided he was gonna be happy and live his life in Mondstadt instead of thinking about what his ties to Khaenri’ah are
And then Dain came in and dropped a bomb on him
It's pretty likely kaeya was just lying lol
i was avoiding every other genshin youtuber i follow doing a video on this quest! Yours are my favourite! thank you so much for just having fun in the vids it always makes me smile! Merci!🙏🏽 ❤😊
I love your playthrough, reaction and commentary so much. It's really chill and relaxing but fun and exciting to watch. Thanks for the content
That was such a lore drop! And it explains why kaeya has and eye patch as well! The one eye under the eyepatch is khaenri'ahan and he hides it
I’ve enjoyed the quest so far, the story is well put together :)
32:36 people from khaenri'ah or abyss really like to use the word "nigh"
While fighting the hydro abyss herald he always says "the end is nigh"
When i first heard his voice I was so choked, he has SO MUCH EMOTION ITS PERFECT WELL DONE TO THE VA IT TRULY STOOD OUT
I really think that this was the best dainsleif quest so far
Ironic that this is the one quest that Dainsleif is barely in
Fun fact about this, if you went out of bounds, instead of paimon, it'd be the traveler speaking!
I have finals & this is first on my watch list of movies and series when I’m done.. looking forward !
This quest was definently the most traumatizing.
I played the guest and the guest finished so fast,it was amazing
i just played the quest and boy was i shocked by the animation holy moly it was majestic
The dain quests are always my favourites
