Absolutely, because what makes this greater than any other Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) hack (and I mean up to the point of being as great or even greater than the original) is that it has what other SMB3 soundtracks lack - custom music (meaning in this case, 8-but soundtracks that are in more games than the 8-but Mario 3)!
@ENCRYPTED the parts you are referring to are intentional. He was trying to make the music sound creepy, but i can understand why it bothers you. We are so used to hearing the same tunes when it comes to smb so hearing notes that dont belong sound weird. Lol.
You know, with THX to a certain graphics editing utility I’ve been using called YY-CHR, I’ve been spending the past month improving the sprites of all the 3 characters as well as some of the other graphics in the game, even particularly Toad’s sprites, I even made my custom penguin Toad sprites along with my custom fence climbing sprites and the yoshi riding sprites. It was enjoyable for the time but it eventually started to become a pain in my ass trying to perfect the game and syncing it over and over again to my NES Classic as much as I could, I even borrowed the Toad graphics from a European SMB3 hack called Super Toad Bros. 3 in order to eventually make this possible, hopefully I have done enough to it in an extent to where I can’t do anymore to it…
Easily one of the best Super Mario Bros. 3 ROM hacks out there, this hack clearly shows the strengths of the game. Unfortunately, it also shows many of SMB3's weaknesses, as well as the weaknesses of the NES in general, with all the lag, occasional glitched graphics, and questionable music (I'm thinking World 3-3 in particular on this front, where even the comet music got "remixed"! D:). It's kind of a shame that hacking the Super Mario All-Stars version of SMB3 isn't more popular. I don't know if SMAS would have eliminated ALL of this game's flaws, though.

I remember when Mario Adventure was hands down the best Rom Hack and Some Usual Day was the #2, then Captain Southbird came out of left field while Dark Diaz had given up on Rueben with a disassembly of Super Mario Bros 3 and shortly after this Masterpiece of Rom Manipulation.
I wish the Super Leaf was in this game if it's not there. I love Super Mario hacks-especially if it's a part 3, mainly because I love the music, and I wish the music from the cartoon was in the game ,too. My favorite power-up is the frog suit, and my favorite enemy is Chomp-Chomp.
I enjoyed this game so much I'm doing all the comet challenges and getting all the star coins I missed. Thanks for this video, there's been only a few stubborn coins I lost patience on finding on my own. This may be the best NES hack I've ever played. Metroid: Rogue Dawn is the other standout for me.

Well, we should've seen SMM coming back when this hack was released. Or we just saw the E3 2014 version. Besides, 16-bit versions of the ghost house from SMB1 and SMB3 were in Super Mario Flash Version E and Super Mario Flash 3.

The last stretch of that W2 fortress drove me batshit until I realized you could climb on those (hitherto unclimbable) lamp cables. The +-shaped platforms look like they're just barely low enough to jump on, which tricked me into thinking that's how I was supposed to move upward for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was something that was worked with heavily until it was fixed to work, or more likely, this may actually not be just a hack of regular SMB3. It may well be a hack of SMW, but they tweaked the graphics and environment to match a NES game with the sounds and visuals, but for all intents and purposes is actually a SNES game
Seriously why are people asking this on this game? It’s not related to Konami..... and the only way to answer the question is, it’s game specific what it does. Most often it does something to lives.
