- An old 8mm film. Was HK foggy or the film faded. or both? You won't see those freighters in the harbour anymore. Sailors still swarmed the Tiger Balm Garden. Finally Aberdeen

Rafael Nogueira The footage was showing Hongkong back in the 1960s. Today’s Hongkong has changed a lot.
Thanks for the recent upload. I enjoyed watching the old memories from you. 1966 was a good year.
Thank you so much for these videos, they are so amazing to me.
Fantastic stuff, Michael!
I can recognise the older Cavendish Heights at Jardine Lookout which was taken down completely rebuilt in 1986.Brings back lots of fond memories.
Always enjoy watching your film footage. So that we could take a peek at the those good old days.
Amazing uploads sir.
Thank you for sharing your memories.
Priceless!!
Nice video. Thanks. Three children talking to a man in a car. I like the Chinese music. Like the plugging or pinging of piano. Lol
👍beautiful
Michael was vlogging before it was cool, keep it coming, Mr, your videos are needed on RUclips that has too much useless vlogging. this is pure History
Do I recognize some of my older cousins chatting with a uncle 'Kweilo' in the color footage when they were young ? Time flies. They are all in the 60s now.
Somewhere out there during that time, Bruce Lee might be dancing the Cha-cha in some popular ballroom.
What you described happened before he went to US in 1958
Some of the recently demolished buildings in Causeway Bay was under construction in your video. Most treasures.
Uncle Michael probably love this song very much:) but this song is really Nostalgic
Like looking into the past. Very revealing.
Interesting. The year my daughter, Elizabeth was born , in Calif.
Foggy of niet; het is prachtig om te zien!
sir I always thank you. May I request things from Korea?
I wish I could, but I never visited the country myself and there are hardly any tourist films from early days available
Probably shot during early spring of February, usually foggy all over
Tiger Balm garden is gone now. Sad...
謝謝
I think the background Chinese instrumental music is called Calm lake Autumn Moon.
Thanks Lar M!! I was curious and about to ask!
Hmm..I just looked up "Calm Lake Autumn Moon" and the tune doesn't match too closely. If anyone else recognizes the music, please let us know. Much thanks!
Oh, I found it--the background music is titled 金子陵 from a PILI puppet series. No idea what the English title might be. I'm guessing 金子陵 is the name of a character from the series, and is also the name of his background theme music.

The music in the first part is 彩雲追月,a popular old music and seems to be Michael's favorite.
Most are dead now. Sad 😞
👍🙏😊
Wait... is this actually the real footage??!..
Sir I don't believe it is 1966. That is a huge apartment
What do you mean? The film was dated 1966
@@michaelijsbrand I meant I can't believe it. sorry.
