Nah I would have taken that ammonite. Also are all of these in the same location? You got mammal and ammonite stuff there
Man I wish we had good fossils or shall I say interesting fossils in Arkansas, I been poking around my whole life. All I find are very very old Carboniferous era plants and invertebrates, no Pleistocene mammal species no awesome dinosaurs just dinky stuff. 😢 oh well, congrats on a amazing find!!!
Don't sell Arkansas short yet! There is really a broad range of fossils there! Maybe not exactly where YOU are, but lots more is there to be found. Even if you are currently stuck in a carboniferous zone, then make it your goal to find the best specimens from that time! Great fossils are waiting if you go looking!
The areas of Arkansas that are best for Cretaceous fossils are around the Texas border. Mainly the Texarkana region or anywhere the North Sulphur river runs through.
Could try going to Red River too.
