Exploring Dingli | S4 EP: 15, part 2 | The Local Traveller with Clare Agius | Malta

Join Clare as she learns all about the intriguing history of Ħad-Dingli with Major Tony Abela.
The village of Ħad-Dingli played a significant role during World War II, whereby its home to the first radar built in Malta. In this clip, Clare explores a hidden shelter beneath the landmark, delving into its construction and purpose as well as the critical role of radar technology in wartime, challenging the belief that the atomic bomb ended the conflict.
In the second half of this clip, Clare meets Ġużu Tal-Beżuża, a shepherd maintaining a traditional way of life amid the changing landscape of Ħad-Dingli.
