those lambo bikes lol what about the big black line you are going to get all the way up your rear and back everytime you set out obviously the owners don't have to wash their kit as they just buy a new set after every ride.
how many hours of riding your bike are you planning to do each day ? there is already a very wide choices of ranges available on the market, some being well over 100miles but I doubt you will spend more than 4 hours on a bike unless you are a die hard cyclist in which case pedalling will greatly increase your range and any long range ebike should have enough range for you
I don't understand why people would spend thousands of dollars on an Ebike they could make themselves, and I don't mean make everything, I mean buying a better motor and battery and putting it on an existing bike like a Razor Mx650 w/ the Electro and Co 6000w kit that can do 60+ mph... Whenever you get the Razors they're kind of small but you can get longer rear shocks and fork spring upgrade kits they ride a lot higher and they look like a kids toy, unless you do what I did and put lights and street tires on then they look sus. 😁
Again and nothing for short people I need a 24-inch ladies step through that has the fat tires I want everything completely enclosed and I want fat tires I give up
Finally! Some ACTUAL electric vehicles. But let's be honest, these are not REALLY bicycles. They're mopeds. Remember that name? Bicycles come in all shapes & sizes, but they all share one thing in common: NO MOTORS.
Most of these are bicycles in a legal or practical sense, more then a literal/purist one. In the US, anything 750w or lower is considered a 'motorized/electrified bicycle'. The motor on an E-bike is meant to assist you going at speeds that are possible to achieve with human-power alone. The motor on a Moped is meant to keep up with traffic since Mopeds are not allowed in cycling lanes or bicycle trails, even though Ebikes (usually) are. Mopeds require some combination of plates, insurance, and/or licenses to operate. Bicycles don't, nor do E-bikes. If I took my Schwinn AL Comp and put a 250w hub motor on it, the bike wouldn't be fundamentally transformed in terms of how fast it is;I'm out of shape but can still hit 20mph on flat ground, the motor only makes that easier. It'd still be considered a bicycle. If I dropped an 80cc/66cc 2-stroke on it (same engine, china/us displacement respectively), that's now got about 3Kw of power and is well into moped territory. It'd also overpower it's brakes...
@@DFX2KX I don't know where you're living, but I've lived in Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina, & Texas, & I have never seen a moped that needed lights or a license plate. I've seen a few where lights & side mirrors were put onto the thing as after-market add-ons, but that was because the woman who owned it used it primarily at night. A "moped" is anything that has a motor of any kind & pedals, & it's designed primarily to help a person get up hills & to assist when the cyclist needs to take a break from pedaling. What you're describing sounds more like a dirt bike - a.k.a. minicycle - than a moped, but minicycles don't have pedals. Also, just as an aside, in many states anything less than a 100cc or equivalent engine doesn't require a driver's license to operate. In any case, mopeds do not make one go faster than a human could manage - except uphill - & they come in all shapes & sizes. There are no set stats as to what makes it a moped vs something else. The term "moped" is short for "motorized pedals," after all.
@@timothyhansen6581 Iowa and Georgia required plates and licenses (Iowa even has a 'moped license' explicitly for thes.) Also in Iowa the 'motorcycle' cutoff is 50cc, even though you can go and get a Zeda 80 and not likely be stopped unless you do something stupid (if you do it'll get impounded, though). Motorized vehicles are steadily being more heavily regulated, as people act like idiots, and as a revenue source for cars. Note that in many places, Iowa included, mopeds also include 50cc scooters, same with Georgia. Gas-bike/moped conversion kits are straight up illegal in a few places, NY and NJ are two such states if memory serves. also, here's the federal law putting E-bikes in the same bin as pedal bikes: www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/15/2085
Love the 50 lb Santa Cruz Bullit. Please give links to the bike reviewed. This took a while for example to find from the landing page and you named it "The Electrified... Love your reviews!
Just bought an Lectric XP step through, I use it in Pennsylvania, good enough for me, I weigh 180 lbs, and the bike gets me up and down the hills in WB, Pa. without a problem. The Lectric XP now costs $999 because it is at the 2nd edition, and they have made many improvements to the Bike. Now this Bike can hit 28 mph, but to me 20 mph is plenty fast enough, after all I am retired and have all the time in the world to use it.
I live in PA too and I found out high powered Ebikes aren't illegal, you just need head lights/brake lights and turn signals for street use and you should be OK..... I ride a Razor Mx650 w/ 48v 2000w and it rips but the only problem I've had has been the police in the next town over, they're always trying to "impound" then police auction your stuff away so I avoid them but they've never bothered me much, but then again I can do almost 40mph so I'm usually gone before they see me. LoL
Lightest E Mountain Bike episode? A non weight lifter needs to lift one over 42" cattle fences. Seriously, consider this for emergencies and rural folks. 62 lbs here would cause me injury. A whole different class? TY I watched most of your great work!
Right, the weight is a concern of mine also. My conversion build is just under 65lb. XL Raleigh Venture 4.0 mountain bike with back rack, 750 watt mid-drive, 17.5 ah 52 volt battery, slimed tubes in 1.95" tires on up graded 26" Shimano Nexus 7 E Bike E-City Sapim wheels. I am happy that I can carry my build up or down stairs. Lifting over a fence requires a technic that would scratch the frame. Lift bike over the fence hooking the handle bar on the top rail. Climb over the fence and unhook the bike from the top rail. Might need to fabricate a better hooking device than standard handle bars. I'm 6' tall and was able to negotiate 8' chain link fences on a regular bicycle when I was younger. Cattle gates are smooth pipe, I haven't tried it but I don't think for me it would be that difficult to lift my 65lb build over a 42" obstacle...
#3 Ristreetto - Luvit!
#2 Lamborghini - Can't find the words, wow!
Italian designers can make any item look cooler than it needs to be...
But at the cost of a car I think I go with Ristreetto over the Lamborghini 😂
I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD WANT AN EBIKE BUT MINDS EYE IS CHANGING ME !!!

My challenge is finding an ebike with enough weight capacity! I’m a big guy. I’d like to find something that can handle 300 to 350 pounds.
i would like one 450-500 weight cap.
Try a sondors madmods. Handles 350 pounds
The specs shown for these bike do not justify the cost, and the stated range is a dream where Super Man is doing the pedaling.
Ça commence mal : la réglementation sur la vitesse des vélos électriques...
There getting close, they have to get the mileage up per charge, I will buy one

Look, if you couldn't reasonably pedal the fucking thing without the battery then it's a Moped, not an E-bike.
