This build really punishes the AI for every time they use the burn drive... and it's likely a build only players can pull off, like the prox charge launcher builds.
We need more hull mods that act like the Intergrated Point Defence AI hull mod where, when you S-mod it into the ship and it changes the priorities that the AI responds to with it's weapons systems.
Ah, yes, I'm glad to see you have kept our Glorious Leader's own Modifications despite propaganda by our enemies suggesting otherwise. That's the part that really make the build OP.
Eh. I'm sure it's a good build, but most of the time it's not very interesting to watch how ships perform outside of real battle situations. I don't know if it's just officers or whole ai-stuff works differently in simulations, but there you can outkite the enemy fleet that you show in this vid nearly with every ship, even onslaught. Still, Pegasus/Executor rocks. Also, although I already saw your reply and understand why you chose pilums, I still think squalls would fit in this build much better. Pilums in such low numbers are just gonna be eaten by pd, and its emp damage is nothing when you have 2 tachyon lances
it might pack a punch but has no real flux management compared to actual combat situations like you said yourself. the glaring weakness of the executors is that they have a high flux disspotion already. ontop of bad maneuverability. So you need to balance weapon choice while also still having good weapons. graviton are received pretty well with with 96a.so make good use of those. HVD's are a must for this, most seem to be going with HIL's for the large energy mount. Squalls at this point just seem to be the most prefered large missile mount choice period. it has lock on abilities while also packing a punch if connecting to shields. flux conduits and flux distributors are just vital for this along with the standard ECCM, integrated targeting unit for more range, and expanded missile rack
@@Jaydee8652 I tried putting more Gravitons and they do work better. The AI don't tend to fire the autolance unless the shield is broken. And it does very little damage to shields and armor. So in the end despite what I thought was a measly 75 (150 vs shields) damage from the gravitons, they actually work better.
Self-sustaining missiles are perfect for fighting a long battle. Once you are out of Squalls, you are out of Squalls. Use Squalls if you want something important dead asap and make the rest of the fleet fall apart.
pilum are more friendly to control and dont need manual firing like squall it also have unlimited ammo and made the ships stay much longer in combat, also it have emp bonuses that able to disable enemy weapons when get hit.
Yeah, Pilums are hot garbage. I'm yet to see any situation where they do anything whatsoever besides waking up PD from time to time. Most of the time I don't even notice they exist and end up just tanking them on the open armor, and absolutely nothing happens.
Forget squalls, you don’t really need or want sustained pressure with this type of build imo. Lose the pilums and eccm and throw even just tac lasers on the front two small energy mounts. Get flux distributor and throw the remaining op in caps.
volturnian lobster approves
Burst beam weapons work best in player hands.
It's just that the Lion of Sindria put too much faith in his successors/subordinates.
Love watching Tachyon Lance destroy ships. I put them on my Apogees.
The special modifications the Lion of Sindria made were for projectile-based energy weaponry. So beam weapons weren't on his plans, sorry

I've put it on AI and it worked alright. It'd probably be better if I just used HILs doe.

This video inspired me to make my own Beam Executor. Thanks!

It's still impressive that the AI holds back like that
Any chance of seeing a full syndrian fleet? With the syndrian variant frigates and destroyers?
We already have some, Syndrian Hammerheads and at least one cruiser, one of midline ones
least OP kiting
With built-in extended magazines and a special focus on non-beam energy weapons, you had to use the Autopulse Laser.
I ain't risking my main damage dealer on the frontline unless it's an Onslaught
The Diktat really out here copying Tri-Tachyons homework.
Thats not beam executor, real beam executor is 6 gravitation beams and tachyon lance
grav beam for ai, player used autolace for more burst damage, also hill are better that tachyon lance if you consider ai used
Why 6 Graviton? Isn't 3 all you need for +10% damage to shields?
@@Hardwaregeekx, Put them in separate firing groups maybe?

does this build still work as well in .97?
Why use pilum over SQUALLs?

why pilum anyway ever on anything? Some ships are faster than that missile. Unlimited PD fudder.

What mod is this?
all vanilla, no mod
lame cheats/way to op modded, but looks fun anyway
This doesnt look like it has any mods lol, and this is a single player game why would you cheat in it
