I agree with the patina / bronze dislike…. If my car rusted in a “unique” way I would not be amused. 😅 love the videos my friend! Have a great weekend, Tony!
Nothing like “talking time pieces with my favorite Tony”….. Excellent show as usual, always down to earth, no nonsense, and nothing but common sense…! Thank you so much, brother…. Greg
For the "in-between" timezones: the Glashütte Original Senator Cosmopolite has all the timezones including the half-hour (there are many) and 1/4 and 3/4-hour zones (only a few of those). It's more like a world/dual-time than a GMT though. I would love to see a traditional GMT design that does the quarter-hours. The same movement could do it and GO doesn't have a GMT so who knows...
Thanks for answering my bronze question! I’m sort of in the same boat. I’m glad you mentioned the Panda and the relationship you have with your AD. I have now purchased 2 Rolexes and a Tudor in the last 6 months from my AD here in NH. They just invited me to a day of sailing on a sailboat, drinks, and dinner as one of their VIPs. I’ve tried to tell so many people that making a relationship with these people is key. As a business owner myself it’s all about relationships. I’d be willing to bet that if people actually did this, they could get the watches they want. Don’t go into these places being an asshat.
Tony one of my first automatic watches I bought was a Vostok. This was before I could afford any decent watches. Anyway it was limited edition, and it was bronze. It went a horrible green colour/ mixed with bronze. It was definitely unique, for all the wrong reasons. 😂🤟. This model was limited to 100. Unfortunately they saw 100 suckers coming😜. I tried to sell it on e bay. It took ages to sell. I just kept putting the price down on it to find another sucker. Bronze should be used for status and definitely not watches. 👍🎸.
Thanks for answering my question. It's always good to hear you talk common sense and reality so confidently haha. Yeah the mix of customers talking BS, and Americans dramatising everything, combining to make these rumours even more widespread seems spot on.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony I have worked in retail, and the stuff customers lie about is shocking! Normal respectable people seem to get possessed when it comes to their supposed superiority over retail establishments and staff.

Anyway what are your thoughts on the new iteration of doxa and the line up. I think the new sub200t 39mm with the Sunray dials are a huge step in the right direction.

What's up Tony? I finally saved enough for a yellow gold Day-Date. Now, I can't stop thinking about how much better platinum is than yellow gold. Is the platinum Day-Date worth the extra 30k and a few more years of saving my money or should I just go with the yellow gold? Thank you sir.
The answer to your question is no its not worth the extra, get the watch you have saved for, you never know whats going on to happen in a year or two, enjoy it now :)
Question: Tony, I recently traveled to London and Paris for a couple weeks. I went to numerous ADs and boutiques for a lot of brands. I saw some brands in person that I’ve never seen here in the USA. One that stood out, and it should, is Breguet! I am thinking about getting a Breguet Tradition. For $14-$15,000 on the secondary market I feel that might be the best watch in that price point. I’m not a huge dress watch guy but I think you could casual that watch up changing straps. How do you feel?
Of my 4 local Rolex AD’s, 1 sells the steel models directly out the back door to grey market dealers. 2 have you buy jewelry in order to purchase a steel piece and the 4th AD plays fair half the time. Each dealer requires a $300;to $500K purchase history. But things are changing.. 2 tone sports models are now available to existing clients within 3 months. I see the global markets tanking soon so an opportunity may pop up for those who want a Rolex. Personally I only want a Pepsi. Nothing else scratches my itch. Happy Friday!
The Rolex AD I'm working with didn't have anything to sell me has been very helpful and asked me if there was any other models I was interested in just to maybe make it easier to get something. At no point have they tried to sell me on other products or jewelry
Tony I saw at Oliver Smith yesterday a beautiful platinum Day Date with olive green dial and middle eastern numerals. It was stunning but price was $120k😩
Tony my Rolex AD of course don’t force me to buy jewelry but they hinted and even showed me couple gold bracelets. They want you to spend money on things you really don’t want. Plus they like you even more if you have significant other.
Rolex makes the same number of Reverse Pandas as they do Pandas. Anybody telling y’all different is full of it. The only reason Pandas are harder to get is due to the fact that demand is higher for them. Pre-ceramic, the Reverse Pandas were the more desired
The AD are not "forcing" you to buy any jewelry or other watches to get a Rolex, but you are strongly "encourage" to buy something to reduce the wait time.
You have just made the guy's point, you are right he is not being FORSED, yet to get to the watch he wants its way more than encouraged. It's a terrible way for a company to behave it get someone to buy you're products
Google reviews are very useful to see AD’s allocation process. Need a watch to mark a significant milestone? If you have no recent purchase history, the watch usually goes to those who have.
Hahaha you butchered the whole thing especially the name. If I can only elaborate more on what AD and the spending relationship I have with this AD, you’ll be surprised. I don’t like bashing they might give me even more hard time to acquire my piece. Tony. You’re real, authentic and thank you for taking the time and effort to feature it on your channel.

No, there is no 30 min in-between setting any GMT. I am also struggling with the same - India (IST) and US (EDT/EST).
Sorry to hear that. You definitely need a two separate movement watch, or I had some comments that may help you out.

There are always more Pandas on Chrono24 than Black Daytonas. Also the manager at one AD told me that they are getting 2 Pandas to 1 Black Daytona.
Fair enough, but the Panda is harder to get and that is also why they are more expensive on the grey. They are more sought after.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Yes I agree. But I’m talking about availability. Three of my friends got Pandas from AD, and only one got Black Daytona.
