Won't mention names but quite a few of the top drivers need to learn from Russell and Alonso's effort in this race! Absolute legends!
We need to stop lowering some drivers to praise others. Williams is fighting to put points on board as a team, Top 4 teams are trying something different. Russell is an amazing driver and a great lad, but please do not diminish the efforts of the top drivers. Russell will be fighting for championship soon and he will need every single point he gets.

Latifi was running in P3 at the time and Russell was in P7, I believe. It's the right call to prioritise the car in front.
@@antonkirilenko3116 still ended up just in front off russell because other cars are way faster and everybody knew that after pitstops he is going to fall down, russell offered to stop early and hold off as many cars as possible so after latifi pits he would have a bigger gap to drivers behind. Russell did that and was not pushing and defending while trying to keep the gap to latifi as big as possible and to keep latifi safe in points. He had way more pace that he showed in the last laps when he closed the gap from 12 seconds to 1 these comments that he only said this just as a stunt are honestly disgusting.

Russel is number one driver of the team, so it's normal for the team to go for a strategy that favored him, but he knew the outcome for the team can be much better if he pitted early and play defense for his teammate, that's why he offered to go for the strategy which would compromise his own race. Just made me like him more, but a bit sad for he is loyal to Mercedes. Wish one day he will put the 3 Mercedes clowns into forgotten history.
