Im flabbergasted to have been recommended this, medievil 1 was my favourite game and of course I also played medievil 2. I don't even know what's happening but bravo for your skill.
That run happened omg. Huge GG! Kew Gardens didn't go well but other than that it's so clean. And even Kew's damage was okayish. Your SoB is low but realistically, now all the timesave will be tedious to get. Just insane.
I hate the Iron Slugger fight. Suddenly you are throw into a completely new control scheme which you aren't given any tutorial for, nor any time to train with which is interspersed with gameplay of the old control scheme and the gameover is an entire cutscene of Palethorn gloating.
So, you lose like 1m20 for the chalice in museum. But, since the super hit glitch was discovered (it's also super easy) the cane stick is a better option than sword until Dankenstein. A lot of people might not notice that, but cane stick has no pushback with it's square attack. You save time in tomb with the dogs thanks to better DPS and same thing against Mander & Dogman. In Dankenstein you just need 4 hits to kill the creatures and if lucky they won't even activate their i frames because of the insane dps (sword can't do that). After this we get the hammer which will be very useful in Sewers, Sewers 2 and The Ripper (getting the Hammer early on also skips the crossbow in Whitechapel). To put that in perspective, you need 9 super cane hits to kill a tentacle in sewers, and only the first 2 you encounter won't retract on each hit, so 3 tentacles remaining means 27 hits which will be rng in most cases. Hammer tho kills tentacles in 3 hits minimum, so it's 9 vs 27 hits. Hammer also 1 shots mullocks. In Ripper boss fight it guarantees a 4 cycle, which was impossible with flaming crossbow. All this combined it's worth the time loss in Museum because at the end of the run it's like 3 minutes saved
its crazy i just picked this game back up bc as a kid i never beaten it just got to freakshow but as a adult i beat the game today it took 6 hours but i did 100% the game crazy people still play this
If you quit out during a cutscene it gives you the ability to skip it the next time. Cathedral Spires is kind of the exception because with emulators you don't save much time here but just get good cycles for the flame-throwing gargoyles (if you're fast enough)
Why 480p is so rare on youtube these days? I can't watch videos in 60frames because it takes a long time to load and 360p looks bad. I wish 720p without 60 frames was always an option. You can stand below the dynosaur so you can use him as umbrella really funny. 5:38 lol. This game is a gem.

I'll start putting my remix videos in 30fps instead of 60fps. I am uncertain on 30 vs 60 for MediEvil. Does the game run at 30 or 60? What's the right choice?

Yeah, i knew it was not true 60 fps. I was surprised to hear that ps2 runs at 60 frames. 25fps sounds like very little. If it's like GTA: SA on pc with frame limiter, I feel bad for europeans. I wonder what fps we had in Russia. considering that most disks were pirated us and eu versions.
It's called speedglitch You mash with the dpad to any direction and get insane amounts of speed (you can see the inputs on screen) Rhythm is the most important important thing while performing it
