Thanks for playing this infectious slice of Power Pop. I've still got the LP I bought when it was originally released. I remember teenage me playing along on my bass guitar.
That is the secret ingredient - like Dr Feelgood seeing them perform, even on video, is 50% of the thrill. Sadly I discovered them in period on a late night music programme in New Zealand and never saw them live.
There use to be a place called West Runcton Pavilion in Cromer Norfolk, England and it use to have bands perform there. This was mainly during the 1970s ? I use to go there between 1975 / 79. I saw these play there when they had the single out called Airport. Sometimes when bands were on Top of the Pops which use to be on a Thursday some of the bands use to play there on the Friday or Saturday. Happy days 😊
I suggest ''Airport''. It'd be the second time in my life that I have made a request for that song. The first being in 1978 when my Countdown gang were pushing radio to play the song in Melbourne. Only hit they had in Australia. Cheers, Hayley
