Dude you seem to post videos right when I need them, my wife has been complaining that she seems like she is blinded a night when driving, she says the glare is horrendous thanks so much bro-ham for this video I will be doing it this weekend on my truck as well as here Lexus.
Hammer thank you glad to help...we try to do useful videos that will help good people like yourself.:)
I had no luck with rain-x windshield washer fluid, after about 3 bottles and about a year in my water created a very thick mucus in the washer fluid deposit and clogged the lines. Love it when applied externally tho.
My husband just did this on my daily driver and on his truck too. What a difference! He also did the wiper video on both at the same time. He then found the 0000 steel wool to be super helpful in cleaning up all the crust off of our kitchen faucet when we had to replace the "guts" in that so it would stop dripping. The faucet looks almost new! That 303 protectant looks like some pretty neat stuff to have around the garage. I really like that you share the products you use and that many of them have multiple uses. Thanks for your work on these helpful videos!
Very glad we could help you and your husband, Teri, And the 303 is some amazing stuff that’s for sure. Have a great day my friend
I have learned more in the last couple of years from your videos THAN I have in a lifetime and I'm a gearhead. You are the man I mean that.
Glad to help Terry! Thank you for watching and sharing, we really appreciate it, have a great weekend my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
So... I just got to say I was raised by a used car dealer who took great care of his cars... Mainly by teaching me how to detail his cars as a small child LOL. Your tips and tricks are awesome and have reminded me of a lot of things I forgotten and taught me a whole bunch of new things your wife is your wife is is extremely lucky I bet her car looks perfect
Jolena Moore that's awesome you were taught some great things! and we thank you very much for your very kind words and yes my wifes' vehicles are in extremely great condition and they are not new by any means but look like they are...if it keeps her happy I'm happy :) have a great night my dear :)
I found this stuff in 1980 from my mud club. Bugs , mud whatever doesn't stick to your windows either. Also use it on all your windows and mirrors and you will never have trouble driving in the rain or snow. Another gift from the aviation world.
Does work great that’s for sure thank you very much
👍👍 Best video ever! Your video began with you doing the work, no long intro with music and jibber jabber, no annoying music during demonstration. You fast forwarded the steps once explained rather than showing every little detail. What's that you say? You're not a millennial? That explains everything.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for your comment, we really appreciate it! Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Simply the BEST car advice on RUclips !!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, thanks! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we truly appreciate all of our great subscribers like you. Have a fantastic weekend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Gonna be doing this this weekend. Glare has become a nightmare. Always swore by rainx. Thanks, boss.
Awesome Erik! Thank you for watching and sharing, have a fantastic day and all the best on your project my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Did exactly what you have shown, works perfectly. Thank you from a guy in Australia that will now tell everyone he knows about your channel. 😍
Barter that's awesome to hear!!! thank you we do really appreciate you being here with us...:)
If I could add anything to this, is to avoid armor all for cleaning the interior. It off gasses and causes a hazy film on the inside of the windshield.
You are right that’s why we do not use armor all anywhere we only use the 303
WOW...Great information...Sir the more I look at your videos the more I keep telling myself to take the leap and start detailing full-time...thanks u r a blessing.
Harry the methods are simple and the products are affordable...start detailing and make some good money my friend.
most night glare is created by dirty interior glass......great exterior glass video.....
When I'm cleaning my car i usually just clay bar the windscreen, removes any tree sap and road grime build up. Doing that seems to keep it pretty good, on an old or never cleaned one this is no doubt better. Cool tips man, keep them coming!
thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
I am also a big believer in RainX. The harder it rains and the faster you go, the better it works.
And if you're stuck behind a semi, blowing spray in a rainstorm... AMAZING! You can still see, even when the wipers cannot keep up.
kirk you got it it is amazing thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
SPC's is spot-on right about the ice peeling off the glass when using his method
Rainex is great on headlights as well and helps keep squished crashed bugs off!!
Genius at work! I add RainX concentrate to the winter washer fluid formula that you showed in another video - the one with the blue tablets.
Fantastic! Thank you for watching and sharing Bruce, we really appreciate the input, hope you have a sweeeet week my friend. mad Mike & team
Boy, that mothers mag and aluminum polish can do almost anything. Thanks for the video.
Tom it is lol it's like a cure-all :)
I find that cleaning the inside of the windshield is a lot more challenging than the outside. Even after you clean it, there always seems to be some kind of film that shows up usually first thing in the morning.
Pedro my friend you will want to see this video the and the tool list ruclips.net/video/Cp2tvqeov4o/видео.html
I wash my windows at night, when its dark outside facing a light source.. That way, you see right away is you have marks.
Using paper towels and WATER does a great job to avoiding the film inside...instead of days, it may take weeks.
I've put a piece of black felt cut to the shape of the dashboard, seems to help and eliminates the glare from a shiny dashboard, especially on cars that have a very deep windshield like Honda Fit, CRX, Prius etc.
I wash my windows from the inside in three steps:
1. I use some heavy stuff to break all grease and dirt there. I make it all really wet and then wipe with whatever I have clean to remove most of the grease and dirt
2. Then I wash it again with paper towel and deluded windshield washer (you can just have a piece of paper towel and sprinkle some water on it and then a few sprays of windshield washer).
Note: not all paper towel created equal. I noticed some brands make it even worse and some work very well. The worst so far appear to be kirkland paper towel - it leaves some film. Bounty is ok but better not to use it too long coz fibers start to break up and stick to glass. Surprisingly dollar store paper towel works just fine. You just have to use multiple sheets at once because they are too thin.
2. Then when it's all dry I clean it again with very fluffy towel and isopropyl alcohol. Higher alcohol content - better.
Done :)
Squeaky clean window and great visibility at night or bad weather!
Big thanks from the uk. I’ve had this same problem all through this wet week. You guys are so generous in sharing your experience.
bigblue thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
You're the man! Hey, I've used the 303 lubricant on EVERYTHING!. I've got a large 14 foot leather sofa that looks new again. 8 dining room chair bottoms, my office chair, even the plastic on my compressor got the treatment haha Both SUV"S have leather as well. Thanks so much!
wakey 303 is the bomb for sure thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
I can vouch for the RainX additive. It almost makes wipers obsolete. Driving down the freeway and the water just blows off the windshield (don't get mesmerized by analyzing your car's aerodynamics writ on the glass!). I do need, however, to do the SPC cleaning treatment. It can only make things better . . .
steve we thank you for your great comments and kind compliments :)
Blinded by the light...
Break out the Rain-X
No more trouble in the night...
The rain came down
But we don't have no fright
We're gonna make it, through the night...
We're gonna make it...through...the night...
Some silicone sister
Said "listen up, Mister"
I know a guy who's got what it takes
She said "he'll put U on to Mother's and 303"
Goes by the name of Sweet
And go-kart Mozart
Was checking out the weather chart
To see if it was safe outside...
But no need to worry
Got a windshield that ain't blurry...
'Cause Sweet helped him detail his ride!!!
solo34 nice job my friend :)
Thanks, Sweet! :D
Dude I have a tendency to do the same thing. I rewrite songs all the time!!! Keep Rocking it out!!!
Woo hoo!
Great advice about adding rain-x to washer fluid, the weather here is frosty at the moment, just in time to put this tip to use. Thanks for sharing. 👍
you are very welcome you will not believe the results :)
Great Video. I've been using Rain-X since they first came out many, many years ago. I love it when I do not have to always turn my wipers on, then off, then on, then off....ugh!
One thing you missed though. Rain-X recommends that after the final application to go over the entire treated glass areas with a damp cloth. Not wet, just damp. If you need the reason why, go to their website and they give a very clear explanation as to the reason. Its very interesting reading.
Got a challenge for you and your "team" of experts. My car has a replacement windshield (lesser quality than factory) that a commercial company (no names will be mentioned) installed. I had to go through the Arizona desert some time back and when I got back home I noticed that my entire windshield looks like it was sandblasted by the winds that were being whipped up when crossing the desert.
Glass is still good but there are 1000's of sparkles all across the glass. Still using Rain-X but it does not fix the sparkles.
Any suggestions or experience with something like this?
Tom the new rainx calls for: Use a Dry Cloth to remove the final Haze. thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Tom this is the clay bar we use amzn.to/2i54dWc
My friend, again, thank you so much for the instructional videos. I never stop learning from you. You deserve one million subscribers. I wish you the best of the best.
Bernardo thank you very much my friend we appreciate you being here with us :)
You and I think so much alike ! I have a similar formula I take Rain X windshild washer fluid and mix regular washer fluid 20- below I make a 50/50 mix it works great after pretreating the windshild been using steel wool for years on glass Keep Up the Great work Your Channel is the Real Deal !!
super thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Young grasshopper just trying to learn. What is the benefit of using steel wool vs microfiber towel? For applying the mag polish on the glass
Tan Pham this amzn.to/2jShguA is essential to clean the glass to perfection, without it it will not remove all the oxidation:)
This is one of my favorite videos of yours to watch.
I just buy the RainX washer fluid after doing the same cleaning you do. Its true how the ice just comes right off. I barely use the wipers it works so well.
thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Love all your tips wanted to add I also use rain x on my lights and wipers so snow doesn’t build up
great idea thank you for sharing :)
It will work for 2-3 Weeks, depend on weather ans Sun of course... We have used RainX for years, we love it.... :D
mothers should be paying you. you use this stuff on everything and its amazing
thank you sean and i wished they paid us but they dont not one red cent.
Just use RainX Windshield Washer fluid: winter yellow with deicer -40° or summer pink with bug remover. I can driver along a hwy in a rain and never use the wiperblades.
Human thank you very much for sharing your technique we truly appreciate that
Car wax (carnauba, at least) works pretty good as repellant on windows. I do it every time I wax any of the cars. It doesn't really last too long, but then again the Rain-X doesn't either. In my experience the wax works notably better though. I use Rain-X just as a usual cleaner but if I know I'll be hitting some rain on a trip, I'll wax the windshield. Thanks buddy, lots of good tips and tricks, I'm definitely gonna try this out on my other car. Current daily driver has no washer system haha
thank you very much, and thanks for the great comment, it helps the entire channel :)
I think after adding rain-X, to the gallon, you should shake it before use.
You always have a secret trick, lol. Love it.
nooby thank you, we do really appreciate you being here with us...:)
I'm beginning to believe you butter your toast with Mother's Mag...
I've got a front dashcam with a high mount rear unit, plus a license plate backup cam...lose the back ones when wet sometimes; gotta try this, only without steel wool on the plastic(?) lenses.
LOL, thanks for watching and sharing Gary. Hope you have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Great work there!... The only thing is, on my Honda I use "only" OEM blades I order from Honda. I've tried other blades (yes, even Rain-X), but nothing beats the OEM blades (refills)... Here in Oregon the weather has been so sporadic, and just after a few days of no rain my windshield gets this hard to remove film on it that does not come off, then when it rains it leaves this glare that is so annoying... I clean my blades till no more dirt shows on rag... No streaks from the blades, just the film on the window.... I am going to do this today and see what happens... Thanks again!
this method will cure your issues Dano thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Good comment, what is that film, I don’t know, adblue? , .
yes i used rax on work truck and got glare but gonna try this thank you👍
Great to hear, thanks for the view and comment. Have a fantastic day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Thanks a million we live in rainy scotland uk will definitely give this a go
William, my friend, you are going to freak out at how this will work for you in rainy Scotland :)
All your videos are amazing
I do all of your tricks and tips
Thanks
very x100 good tips..i had same problems but now its solve..TQVM
thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Interesting. I prefer to clean, clay bar, clean and wax my windshield but I might try the additive. Thanks
Thank you for sharing we appreciate that as we say different strokes for different folks
wax also works great, water just beads off and never leaves any streaks. Trick is to let the wax dry out to a haze before buffing off the glass inside or outside the vehicle
Yav Ercan thanks you for sharing :)
wow, amazing window cleaning. plus it gets polished too!
awesome video !!
1000 thumbs up !!
00:50 I use OOOO steel wool. I should have known you were going to use the same. 🤣
I use the Rain-X wiper solution in my reservoir already. Works great!
My brother is an electrical tech at a Cadillac dealership in South Florida and I am always telling him about your vids. Especially the rust stop you just did. Lot of Northern cars coming in for work durning the winter months.
Harry we love your comments and are very glad to have you here with us sharing, thank you so much my friend
Thank you very much for another amazing & helpful video! God bless you.
Hey Paul my friend good to see you again :) you are very welcome and may God Bless you as well :)
You the best!!! Thank you... been watching all your videos since day 1. Keep it coming...
Juan thank you very much, my friend, we really appreciate the great comment :)
Very cool! Only thing I haven't tried here is the mag wheel polish on the steel wool. I'll have to try that!
car audio you will love the full method of this and will have the best glass ever thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
That's a really cool way of doing that... I've always used rain x on my showers but I will have to try it this time with the mother's and the steel wool.
Ron you will love the results with this full method my friend thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Thanks so much for this video. I am definitely trying this. I will let you know how it turns out. Your videos rule!!!
Brad thank you very much and glad we could help, we truly appreciate it and you being here with us also :)
Awesome....thanks...Wifes gonna love it!!!!
good Deal :)
I never never never use wipers in FL with clean window and RainX What helps 300% too is front window tint too which is illegal, but its slight and keeps the sun glair from water out of eyes
thank you for the great comment, very good for the entire channel :)
New favorite channel.
James Williams thank you very much my friend :)
I always like your approach to projects and processes keeping in mind what the average joe has access to usually, excellent concept!
I do have one request that I think a lot of people deal with especially with new vehicles; preventing and getting rid of that damn film on the inside of the glass. Drives me crazy on both my new Ford's. If you have a video let me know, but if you don't this would be extremely useful for a lot of people.
Keep up the excellent videos!!!
we will see what we can do for you thank you very much we do have a video on it I will find it and send it to you
Mikey Boy!!
Sorry I haven’t been around. Dealing with some health issues 😦...
Man if you ran for president you would get a lot of Votes!!!
Thank you my friend again for sharing your tips with us. This one I’m going to use for sure!
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving
Hey Mike good to see you back and kickin with the chickens again my friend...always glad to see you here with us :)
I love Rain-X on the windshield. Unfortunately in certain weather conditions it can fog up badly, so on the windshield it's fine, the wipers can remove the fog. The problem is the side windows and mirrors have nothing to wipe off the condensation. And that is why I don't use it on anything but the windshield.
gotcha...when i roll the windows down it clears the fog right off..
Yes, rolling down the windows can wipe it off briefly, but unfortunately it comes right back. I would rather not drive with my windows down in all weather conditions, plus some of my windows don't roll down.
Great video , I'm from ST Louis and with this snow. This video help me out a lot
awesome glad to help thank you very much for your great comments my friend it is good for the entire channel :)
Any product that is made by Mother's is really good I but that Mother's on my aluminum wheels before winter and come spring I high pressure wash it of keeps the salt off and after 8 years they still look great the clear cote hasn't flaked off at all
awesome :)
All your Videos are very well done brief, and very effective. Thank you so much for all the time and effort for these!
thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
You guys are awesome, thanks for all the useful and cost saving tips and tricks.
Ray thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Will try this! Never used rainx before :)
Niamh if you follow this video you will have the best glass you have ever had ....thank you for the great question. :)
I used rainx for years but found the increased glare outweighed the benefits of the beading action of rain drops, in daylight rain storms it was perfect but terror at night in the wet or dry
We have done this for so many years and for hundreds of customers and have never had this happen. Thanks for sharing. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Yes, my wife complains about the glare for a few weeks after applying it, but it goes away after a couple of washes or rains.
OF COURSE IT'S
SWEEEEET &
FREEEEE!!!!!!!! PLUS!!
I'M THINKING
OLE 4 EYES WILL
APPLY TO MY GLASSES!!!!!!!
THANKS MAN IT'S
SWEEEEET, YOUR THE BESSSST! 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Crazyhorse AZ thank you again very much
The products are free? Where do you get all these products free?
Thanks for this! Mother's is the Holy Grail... BUT! I have streaky, vertical watermarks that just won't come off! I've used Mother's with a random orbital and wool pad (because that's what I have) and I've really stuck with it, they look a bit better, and I used rainex as well, before I saw this. I don't know what trauma this car's windows have suffered in previous lives... but this is a challenge! Heeeeelp!
Oh... Mother's on steel wool! Missed that... looks serious but that's where I'm at!
Give it a shot, sounds like you've got nothing to lose Bryce! Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
@@SweetProjectCars Saaaweeeeeeeeet! 👍
Thanks you very much for sharing you knowledge with us. you are very nice guy.thanks again.
Guy thank you thanks for the great comment :)
Bam !! Another sweet video to help us out. Keep these great videos coming. You’re the best !
SPRAG thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Thanks for sharing. I will definitely try this
Rey thank you very much, and thanks for the great comment, it helps the entire channel :)
I swear by RainX. I can buy RainX wiper fluid but I’m going to look for the additive! And I’m going to do this to my shower. 😁
Trish here is the additive : ) amzn.to/2Bf0PNn thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Another late to the game question: Use this on the inside of the Windows as well? That's what never seems to get completely, non-streak clean. I assume it would be the same but thought I'd better ask. Thanks for all the great tips. Love Sweet Scoots as well!
Stuart O'Neill if you use this amzn.to/2TNyLbM you will have the most beautiful streak-free glass you have ever had...do it on the inside and out
Every time I watch your videos, I feel like I’m watching a car magician! You are giving us amazing ideas that nobody out there (those rocket scientists) thought about them that make our lives much easier and saves us money big time. 🏆🏆🏆.
I live in a very hot tropical island, will you recommend to mix RainX with water as antifreeze solution is not sold locally? Awaiting your reply?
Cheers.
Knight thank you for the great comment it is good for the entire channel :)
I've done this same treatment for years( minus the mothers ). Suggestion for video...can you do a video that cleans/ shines the shiny black trim molding on doors and around glass
bellyisis thank you and we will see what we can do for you on that trim video
Sweet Project Cars thank you!
bellyisis you are very welcome :)
I love this stuff. Gonna search for vid on how to remove older tint.
Cigar we use this steamer amzn.to/2ActiTY it takes the tint and glue off in one fell swoop :)
Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish applied with 0000 steel wool. Brilliant!
Thank you John! We appreciate your view and comment. Hope you have a fantastic day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Man I am loving this channel. Peace
Thank you very much we’re glad that you love our channel if you could share it with everyone you know if we would truly appreciate that have a great day my friend
I LOVED this video!!!!!!!! ^5 Thank you so much. After I followed your directions I was so impressed with the results. !!!
Skippy that is great to hear thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
My windshield has a terrible glare at night, can I just clean the windshield like your first step then only polish it without applying the RainX products? Also thank you so much for this great video and instructions.
you can try it and if it does not work you now know you can follow the video for guaranteed success
Cool tips.i use the razor and fine steel wool and rainX
there you go hogside try the mother's with the steel wool and you won't believe the difference thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Sweet Project Cars mothers works on all tarnished and dull.thanks bud.
you got that right my friend try it with 0000 steel wool on glass and it will blow your mind :) thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Thanks for the helpful vids👍😁 What do you recommend for cleaning the inside glass with tint
Nick we only use this amzn.to/2BbCw2A for the inside glass with or without tint. thanks for the great question :)
I used Rainx a few years ago and had to get it off asap bc when it rained it was impossible to see through the screen because it just smeared up so bad each pass of the wipers ... i must of done something wrong! I'll try again following your technique
If you use our method in this video you will have absolutely no issues thank you for sharing have a great weekend
I can't agree more with your video and method as I do pretty much the same to keep my car windshields clear and watch the rain water runs off the windshield while driving. However, do you have any tricks to keep the inside windshield clear, especially keeping those dashboard cleaner/protectants from evaporate on to the inside windshield?
Rick here is what we do on the inside glass... ruclips.net/video/Cp2tvqeov4o/видео.html thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
I think you said to use a "4" steel wool pad to clean. That's extra course according to Amazon. Is this right?
That is exactly correct. Thank you for watching and asking. Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Great video, I’ve learned a lot from you and my ride is slowly coming along. You did say that you do this same process on the mirrors also ?
Stranger and yes we do this on the side mirrors as well...all the glass my friend thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Merry Christmas and a happy new (or Hogmanay as we Scott’s say)
john my friend thank you very much for the kind comments, and we hope you have an awesome Hogmanay :)
That's genius, by the way I don't know what Steel wool is good for this treatment? The link showed 0000 super fine.
Safely scrubbing the windows clean without scratching, and a slight amount of polishing of the glass occurs with the super fine steel wool
if you do the whole video and follow the tools and directions to a "T" you will have great glass for a very long time thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
thank you very much and we are very glad you are here and love your great comments :)
Nice! I hate cleaning the inside of the windshield, any tips or videos. thanks
Rob we have a good one I will send it to you :)
Can we use our Dewalt polisher with 3M pad to clean the glass with Mothers or is that too aggressive? Thanks for another great video.
you can use it it works great just a light buff and you are done in seconds
Man you were really moving fast in this demo. 😀
we gotta git er dun lol thank you for the great comment, very good for the entire channel :)
Great info. What about inside windows? Rain X instructions say for outside use only. Any tips other than Windex that will last?
James we only use this amzn.to/2BbCw2A for the inside glass with or without tint. thanks for the great question :)
Have used the orange RainX windshield washer fluid for years - works well. Does the additive-in-the-regular-wash work better?
Nice 👌
Thank you very much Randy, we appreciate the view and comment my friend, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Going to try this. Thank you!
you will love the results my friend :)
All this talk about beading off has me stoked to get in to the shop tonight ;-) good job as always bud

Thanka Halsey we appreciate that :)
Thank you so much
Nazvick thank you very much, my friend, we really appreciate the great comment :)
Once again, thank you sir for a great video. Just curious, do you not like the orange Rain-X windshield cleaner?
we love all the RainX products :) it's just most people will use the lower cost blue stuff so we opted to do the vid with that...but we love the orange stuff as well. thank you, we do really appreciate you being here with us...:)
I wonder how your treatment would work for motorcyclists who wear face shields / full-face helmets? I recall the quick hit & miss downpours when I visited Florida back in the 1970's (on my Honda 750 Motorcycle.)
Ray we all ride here and it works great on goggles and bike windshields you just use the mothers without the steel wool then follow the remainder of the video
