I'm showing wrist manipulation, where you're attacking an individual to move them from place A to place B as he's complying. Again, I have to remind everybody that this is an art that was originally designed for the law enforcement community and it's still used by the law enforcement community. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to come in, buckling his wrist backward and bringing his elbow directly into my armpit.
It's important that my head is still low so I won't take any punches or anything funny from him. Both hands are going to come here and right away, I'm going to put him in pain getting him to the top of his feet. The problem here that I cannot walk him. Once I get him to here, I'm going to open a gap and move his hand to the front. Once he's in the front, his wrist is hidden underneath his armpit so this hand cannot get to it. It's important that you see that he's on his toes and he's always going to be on his toes.
I'm two hands on the wrist against my arm, I'm sorry that it's hurting you, and here we can just walk pretty much to wherever we wanna walk. He's going to walk with me right now as long as he's high on his toes. If you continue to go from here, same situation's could be applied without bringing the hand forward. That would mean instead of coming to his elbow, I'm simply going to come into his shoulder first and from here, it's going to look like this.
Again, all I'm going to do is I'm going to take his wrist and shoulder and I'm going to yank that shoulder forward. By yanking it, his hand is going to come to the rear. As it came to the rear, I'm going to try and stand him up. If he had hair, I will come to his hair, pull his head against. I'm going to stay on his side. Never behind him because if I'm going to be behind him, he potentially can kick. It's important that his toes and we are moving.

Wrist locks can be very effective as long as you practice against a uncooperative training partner for 5 or 10 mins after training drills. In the Russian arts we practice grabbing a resistance wrist while the other person practices escapes and sees if they can reverse lock etc.

I LOVE the second manipulation using the shoulder and hair grab to walk the opponent away.

Well he did apologize. If he didn't care I doubt he'd apologize. Clearly the green belt knew exactly what he had to do for these instructional videos.

in a real fight the probability of your opponent's wrist is relaxed so much that allow you to perform the technique is practically zero. You cannot just go in and perform your technique, you must have some form of distraction for the technique to have a chance to work.

your leg is a ball and socket joint, which means where ever you are, you can be kicked, as long as he is flexable enougj
