I definitely think the talking mickey is revolutionary. His vocabulary isnt that wide of range. But it beats talking to a silent mickey. It feels like your actually talking to the character.
You should see when Bret Iwan is performing with Mickey. Pure Disney magic. NOW it feels like your actually talking to the character.

Angie2343 no, I promise you it’s not actually Bret iwan. Bret iwan is a 6’1 grown man, and you have to be under 5’2 and in your 20s to play a character. The dude in the video you linked us to was well under 6 feet.
Actually on second thought, it might be Bret doing it from like a distance and it being able to come through with their usage of technology. You may be half-right.

He did the cards for me when I went and saw him. It was so cute. My card was queen of hearts. Then we found out that His entire deck was queen of hearts. 😂 That was the first time I interacted with mickey with him respond to me. When we left our little session, I cried tears if joy

It's very strange having those canned responses. It's so obvious that they're canned because the response isn't appropriate given what you said to the point where the classic style 100% voiceless character miming is a far more organic and magical experience.
Still, the animations of the face look really cool and it's very neat technology with it being gesture based for the voice line.

How does this work? Is someone else in the room with mickey saying what he says in a voice changer like what PUSH the trash can had or is it the people who are in the suit talking to a voice changer... or is it recordings of the person who plays mickey
No, they have a few lines to pick from that were recorded and used for the type of things you say. It would be really REALLY difficult to make a mickey mouse voice changer. Btw its the person in the costume controlling the voice. Also RIP push the trashcan😭
