You sir, have really good hand writing and a good voice. On the other note, me and my friends are going to beginning this and the break down you gave was excellent.
What a charismatic gentleman. I'm about to join a friend of mines campaign in WOD so I'm glad someone made a vid like this for me to reference back to.
Starting at 7:11, you discuss specialties. Don't those require a tag word; and only if that tag word is applicable would it bestows a +1 bonus? I think it is supposed to be like "Computers: Artificial Intelligence", "Crafts: Sewing", "Investigation: Body Language". In this way, the character would get their regular pool, and then add 1 more die if the task met the tag word. As you did it, it seems that the character would get an additional +1 for Computers, Crafts, and Investigation for every roll that used those skills, not just those that met the specialties requirement.
Indeed , its a focus in a skill branch . Like lets says you are specialized with assault rifle kind , it give you +1 bonus when you use an assault rifle . It DOSENT add a general free skill point for the whole brach , which would be abusing . Because paying for a speciality with exp is 3 xp and buying a skill point cost 3x the number ( which would mean that the 4th , assuming you got 3 skill into said skill , would cost you 12 xp. )
I know this might the wrong place to ask, but what books do I need to get started into World of Darkness and/or Hunter:The Vigil? I’ve only ever played D&D5e and want to try a new system but don’t know where to start.
No The 2nd editon , is a classic world of darkness and the rules might be similar but are different fromt his one (NWOD new world of darkness , or The chronicles of darkness ). The Nwod got the basic core books : Vampire: The Requiem , alongside The World of Darkness core book) . Werewolf: The Forsaken and Mage: The Awakening,
Did anyone else got jealous of how smoothly he can write, like I feel like a caveman in comparison
God, what a sharp pencil.
ColaRola I sharpened it specially for the video :)
*John Wick would like to know your location*

This is gonna be my first tabletop, any tips for a noob?
Just try not to be shy. Don't be afraid to play the character. Put on a voice. Be your character. :)
:) I was actually worried that I might get "too into" the role playing you know?
Guess it depends on the groups dynamic
