I’m surprised everyone suggests Bach-like; to me the influence is clearly Buxtehudian. There’s a bit more openness to the texture here than you find in Bach, the motivic ideas more concise and sectional than in the Bach Passacaglia and more reminiscent of the Buxtehude in D minor. The figuration is more Buxtehudian - Bach was overall more melodic in his handling of contrapuntal textures, even when it’s very motivic. I thought it was remarkable regardless of the inspiration, though. Very clearly structured and the parts felt very natural, although I do agree about the use of false relations between the sharp sixth and seventh degrees against the natural sixth and seventh, this felt a bit jarring with the general style. Keep it up!

This is very beautiful. I'm a fan of the Baroque passacaglia myself, and I love your variety of coloration from the registration, as well as your light, but accurate touch on the keys. Amazing work.

It’s clear that you are intimately familiar with the German organ school. Several years ago I tried to make variations on a passacaglia theme, and you were a lot more successful than me!

Phenomenal work! I disagree with the criticisms of your use of ‘false relations’, I personally think they are brilliant and are used well to give a dramatic piece like this a bit of oomph! My favourite part of this work was the build up of energy from around 4:00 all the way to the end along with great registration choices. In my opinion, I think slightly grander and more drawn out adagio ending wouldve worked perfectly here.
Also, im sure I’ll see you around London one day Callum, the baroque music scene isn’t too big that it won’t happen haha

    I really like this.
I note that a few people did not, though the vast majority did.
It's a beautiful use of registration, and organ colors.
There are a few dissonances here and there that are perhaps beyond what a Baroque composer would have used but on the whole very much in keeping with late 17th/early 18 baroque organ style.
For me that's a very good thing. Nothing wrong with paying homage to past styles and doing it well IMO.
    Bravo, from a fellow organist/composer.

you've got the style down to a T, but the form is still lackluster at best. You'd do well at studying composing shorter pieces. specifically those with simple, clear forms such as song forms like 32 bar AABA

only a fool can consider this Passacaglia a work of art! A bad copy of a masterpiece. this is the arrogance of mediocre musicians who believe they are making art because they know two rules of harmony.
