Hi! I noticed the way yor longchamp sags a lot when you put your things in. Some people really love the way that this looks, but if u want to combat it, you can just put a bit of cardboard in the base. That is what I did with mine and verythign tends to stay in place!

I actually only wear silver/white gold jewelry but even so, I think the gold just looks the most classic. Totally a personal choice though, I know lots of people like silver :)

hello, a really lovely video and very informative. Can you just answer this question, ASAP. You mentioned that one of your oldest Chanel flap bags, in black, the one with lines down and not the traditional quilted look, had a crease on the flap from a lot of use. The Chanel jumbo flap you have almost had for 5 years... has that also got a crease down the middle between the two chain slots??? I am about to get one today! and this has been bothering me. Awaiting your speedy reply and advice please...
+Jill Jackson Hi Jill :) No, it hasn't - the difference being the Mademoiselle ligne flap is lambskin and my jumbo is caviar. All lambskin bags will have that to some extent but the double flaps mitigate that a little (my Mademoiselle flap is a single). You shouldn't have that problem with caviar, especially with a double flap. Hope that helps!

+Niandra LaDes I did! I just couldn't get on with it - very casual and not great for going from day to night. I do use eBay sometimes. I don't think there are too many great options out there for sellers unfortunately, I just used my blog this time around. I stay away from VC because of their ridiculous commission fees!
Yours is my favorite collection on You Tube, but I'm pretty obsessed with Chanel. Please tell me how you store your bags. I have the same jumbo, as well as a boy bag in cream calfskin with matte gold hw, a black caviar WOC, and two minis (black lambskin with ruthenium hw, and black caviar with gold hw). +Nlee Probably the Chanel mini but I'm a Chanel girl at heart :) Both lovely bags, the alma bb can fit considerably more than the mini and is a lot cheaper. Chanel minis tend to hold their value VERY well though!

I'm not Amie, but I can tell you this much -- I own two LVs, and their leather handles and trims are very durable. I've used my Neverfull to haul everything from my work papers with a laptop, to books, to my daily stuff; brought it for travel with food and a bottle, lugged it around several airports ... and after 3.5 years it's the side pulls that gave up, and I never even used those (or maybe that's why). Even then they can repair it for you, so no worries!

I am soon going to begin saving up for my own Chanel classic flap; I really hope I will be able to save up enough money! I have a question for you; I've always thought I would get my Chanel classic flap in black with ghw, but lately I've been thinking, and I wear mostly light pastel colors in the Spring and Summer time...so my question is, do you think the black would still look good when I'm wearing light, pale colors? If not, what color do you think will go with all colors? I do love pale pink as well, but I'm not sure if it's as versatile, classic and timeless as black. I would really love to hear your opinion! I worked all the way throughout uni (even though none of my friends did!) and was able to afford my first Chanel bag from the boutique in my final year :) In terms of colours, my pale pink one gets a LOT of use but to be honest, I would go for black. I wear my black jumbo with GHW even in Summer and think it's a great year long bag. I wouldn't hesitate at all to wear it with summer clothing!

+Elaine Ling I live in the UK, so VAT refunds don't apply to me. All prices are just discounted around 16-17% I believe (at Chanel anyway). It's not exactly minus VAT as there is some agreement in place with Heathrow and HMRC but I forget the exact details!
Caviar is the durable one(grainy more matte leather) Lambskin is the more delicate one (smooth and more shiny leather) although I think the lambskin is better as it looks more luxurious even though it does scratch easier

I have a question for you; I've always thought I would get my Chanel classic flap in black with ghw, but lately I've been thinking, and I wear mostly light pastel colors in the Spring and Summer time...so my question is, do you think the black would still look good when I'm wearing light, pale colors? If not, what color do you think will go with all colors? I do love pale pink as well, but I'm not sure if it's as versatile, classic and timeless as black. I would really love to hear your opinion! I worked all the way throughout uni (even though none of my friends did!) and was able to afford my first Chanel bag from the boutique in my final year :) In terms of colours, my pale pink one gets a LOT of use but to be honest, I would go for black. I wear my black jumbo with GHW even in Summer and think it's a great year long bag. I wouldn't hesitate at all to wear it with summer clothing!

Hi Amie, I just wanted to ask you regarding your chanel purchase in heathrow - did you have to deal with VAT refund programs or did they just not charge you any tax? lovely collection :-)
+Elaine Ling I live in the UK, so VAT refunds don't apply to me. All prices are just discounted around 16-17% I believe (at Chanel anyway). It's not exactly minus VAT as there is some agreement in place with Heathrow and HMRC but I forget the exact details!

Which Chanel leather is more durable? I'm new to the brand Chanel :)
Caviar is the durable one(grainy more matte leather)
Lambskin is the more delicate one (smooth and more shiny leather) although I think the lambskin is better as it looks more luxurious even though it does scratch easier
