- HOW TO GROW AVOCADO AT HOME | EASIEST METHOD
GROWING TIME: Summer season ( March to July )
Avocados thrive in humid and warm conditions( 22-38 °C). Make sure the seed gets adequate indirect sunlight to encourage growth. Young plants are sensitive to direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

I did avocado in water, some grew, some did not. A few years back I must have had A LOT (20 plus) seeds in my compost and all grew! My problem is I need to bring them indoors over winter.... the three I potted lasted 3 years, then they died :(

@@urbangardeningofficial i found your video about the mango seeds and i ooened my seed pod and it had already started to grow while i was drying it over the weekend, 112 degrees in central california, so the humidity must have jump started the growth so I put it in some potting mix and the wait begins!! So keeping moist is only until it sprouts than a little dry between waterings once you have a sprout.

I put 3 advercado seed s in kitchen roll damp I put in plastic comtainer sprayed water 2 weeks later I had a shock all roots growing on them better and faster then putting in water with tooth picks

I have been able to get about 15 plants (Hass Avacadoes) going and have moved them to my sandy soil. They have really have grown fast and love lots of fertilizer, tolerant of drought, cold and are beautifully green, now about 3 ft tall. I've added fish to the soil, ash and nitrogen and they all really loved the additions. They are now into the third year but I can't find much detailed information on how to produce the fruit? One presentation said to do a "graft" hybrid from a plant with a fruit producing plant. That seems complicated and not always successful. Then another said if you have multiple plants (2 or more) they will cross pollinate, just take longer to produce and pollinate, using the same plants (have 15 about 2 ft apart). One person said they had one tree for 25 years and it never produced. Another said get a dissimlar avacado (such as tropical) mixed in with the Hass and they will produce. They have a good root stock to graft too. But I'm thinking this isn't necessary. So I am patient. But was wondering if you know how to get them to produce fruit?

I have read that it is really hard to get an edible avocado from a tree grown from seed unless it gets grafted with a branch from an adult tree that already gives edible avocado, hopefully you can make a video about how that works, thank you very much 😊
yes. it take at leat 10 years to the tree to give fruit. cause the tree take a lot of time to mature.

Here in Cambodia avocado only takes about 5-10 days to germinate due to high level of sunlight and rainy season (wet season) it rains every day

I live in a subtropical climate and have always grown avocado plants by the water and toothpick rooting method, except for one year, I just shoved a seed in my potatoes' buckets. When I harvested the potatoes, I pulled it up by mistake! It died. Time to grow more as I saved the seeds from last night's salad 🙏

Great it's been 1 year I need to order a pot big as a Trash bin for Transplant
A great video; clear and concise but no mention about plant gender, seed type or that it can take 13 years to bare fruit.
We can do grafting after 6-8 months to get fruiting early

now that I have a tall plant in a pot what should I do and points to take care of when I transplant into the ground please help
Water well before transplantation.....remove the plant from the pot with soil intact to avoid transplant shock .....transplant after 6 pm in evening and after transplantation water well .....for the first 10 days make sure to keep the soil little moist and avoid any sort of chemical fertilizers...use only cattle manure or leaf mold in small quantity

please tell people that avocado from seed take at leat 10 years to give fruit. If yall waant fruit faster (3 - 5 years), take one branch of a avocado tree that already producing and graft onto your avocado tree.
